Well if Hannah gonna eagle par 5s, well played. Grace +6 today, now on the Yealimi payline, gotta feel for the kid - her confidence will be shattered. Once Ina Yoon comes here, she will dominate these 🤡 Watching Bang, Ina and Min Byeol hit those incredible shots was so inspiring. It reminded me that I can actually have fun watching golf, even if there was zero suspense because it was pretty much obvious that Lee was going to win right from the start. Then we got to see Ye Sung Jun make everything in sight; two footers, ten footers, twenty footers, didn't matter. Yes, some Koreans can putt too! Cause I don't mind watching my favorites lose if they give it a good try and do some great things. I actually enjoyed the Chevron for a while because Bang, Ryu and Im did some impressive things. But when they play so badly on Sunday, it just gets sad. I want to believe, y'know?

Once Ina Yoon comes here, she will dominate these 🤡 Ina needs to win five KLPGA tournaments in a row before she's worthy of being mentioned in America. Yealimi made five cuts in five tournaments; she's still on an up trajectory especially this past two weeks. However, she's a light-weight when compared to the like of Nelly, Hannah or Jin Young. She may never win but I hope she proves me wrong. Nobody wins five in a row in Korea other than maybe Jiyai. That's probably a bit too much to require. But I will say that these young guns are still working on their games. I think Ina, Bang, Hwang, Min Byeol or Yewon could come over here now and easily maintain tour cards. They might even be able to win. But would they be big stars? Not yet, there's still work to do. But there's always hope for the future!

You know, having actually looked at the scorecard now, I'm going to cut the Sisters some slack. This was definitely a case of HappyFan's Law: "If multiple Koreans are in contention, some other player is going to shoot lights out and be uncatchable". Green hadn't been playing nearly that well all week, then suddenly she makes three birdies and an eagle coming in. Sometimes that happens.
Still wish at least one of the two in contention had managed a better result. But asking Hae Ran to shoot a Sunday 63 is a bit too much.

Jin Young’s return to form is timely as next up she’s due to defend her Cognizant Founder’s Cup title. It could be quite the battle to ensure Nelly doesn’t get six in a row

If it wasn't for the foreign players, the LPGA would be the third best Tour talent wise. Think about that before you start disrespecting other Tours. Look at the Leader Board there is only three US golfers in the top thirty. That's what happens when the course isn't set up for a putting contest.

Hannah Green was not intimidated by this course and earned the victory. Especially impressive since she was paired with Grace Kim who played terribly. I have never seen such a Jekyll and Hyde performance. Distressing to watch.
Rookie Nataliya Guseva got her first top ten on the LPGA. She comes from the Country That Shall Not Be Named hence her flag icon is blank. I believe she won't be eligible for the Paris Olympics due to that. Be curious to see how she is covered when and if she contends.

Yes glass half is still full - all the best sisters are on the KLPGA (sans a few) and have BOTH the power and the precision to win here. I was very impressed with Minsol + Hyosong @ the Simone Cup too. It is disconcerning they are not all motivated to play in the majors. I want to see Yewon @ US Open this year!
Meanwhile here in the States, Jenny Bae should win Epson crown, Awesome Kim is a top rookie. I like Gina Kim too even though she has been struggling mightily lately, can have a bright future. Idk what happened to DK though, maybe living in Vegas finally got the best of her.
Of course Yealimi is the pride and joy and is making cuts left/right again. I wouldn't bet against her and A Lim "Giant Lims" team at Dow this year!

MHL keeps quietly inchworming along as #3 on the Sister CME list ... next up are two NJ courses she has never played before ... neither have I.

Even K-Town is fed up with the ROK stars.

Why making the cut is so important. Jin Hee Im had the one great round, that got her a fifth-place tie, big payday. Move from fifty-nine to thirty-five CME points and top of Rookie of The Year race. So Mi Lee who also just made the cut tied for thirteenth place plus moved from ninety-six to eighty CME. A big move on CME Race was Hyo Joon Jang from 143 to 101.
