I don't believe that Nelly Korda game would fit this course. Her game depends on par fives and making a lot of mid-range putts. Everything has fallen just right for her to win five straight times. Her first win the finishing holes was perfect for her, not to mention Lydia three putted to hand her the win. Her last win the other players went south to hand her the win.
Another note you have to make putts that breaks not ones that you can slam straight in the hole.

She had a T-6 here in 2023. Tiger-proofing and Nelly-proofing are myths ... and I made the same mistake. I figured NO WAY would she be any good at the AC Pitch & Putt ... and then I looked it up ... she finished in 5th place during her last visit in 2020.

You can't win an event you don't play, no matter how much the GIC would like to pretend otherwise. Korda is irrelevant this week. Round 3 Back to what really matters: Im played fantastically, then everyone else imploded and now she sits just one shot out of the lead. She is perfectly positioned to grab a win. And if she doesn't, Hae Ran is three back and might do it herself. Heck, if Jin Young were somehow able to summon the ghost of Jin Young Past, I wouldn't count her out at six back. Of course, there is the little problem of the Sisters tending to play horribly on Sundays these days. The win might not happen, no matter how teed up it might be. But both Ryu and Im played great last week, they are on a course that suits them well, and the Koreans have to actually get a trophy sooner or later. Why not this week? Let's get it done ladies!!!! Sisters hwaiting!!

Let's go Haeran! Hannah G is still public enemy number for 1 defeating Yealimi in Portland years ago.
Jin Young playing well but CANT birdie a par 5 hindered any realistic hope.
I see you Papp 👀 Nice finish for So Mi! Much needed CME points for comfort.

Hae Ran looks most likely out of the sisters. Hopefully she can post the clubhouse lead and see how Hannah responds.

This just has disappointment written all over it, but I'm still hoping Im or Hae Ran can get the job done. Green always seems to annoy me when she wins by beating someone I'd prefer to see win, so this would be true to form if she pulls this off. And alas, it sure looks like that's going to happen.

I was actually rooting for you guys this week as nobody I like was in contention. But it's the same story every Sunday. Nobody steps up. Last week Ryu had the lead going to the final round. Korda only played good not great. She could have been taken. This week IM was 14 shots back at the end of round two...then gained 13 strokes in round three. But she couldn't break par on Sunday either. It has been that way all year. Terrible Sundays. I think it's starting to get into their heads. They need JYK to win one to take off the pressure. It will happen sooner than later, but I can certainly feel your frustration.

Well if Hannah gonna eagle par 5s, well played.
Grace +6 today, now on the Yealimi payline, gotta feel for the kid - her confidence will be shattered. Once Ina Yoon comes here, she will dominate these 🤡

Congrats to Hannah Green on her 2nd consecutive JM Eagle LA Championship. Go pose inside a big pipe, Hannah!
'Glass half full' = Three sisters in the top five, congrats to Haeran, Jin Young (seeing this week makes me believe JIN YOUNG IS BACK), and Jin Hee (seeing this week makes me believe JIN HEE HAS ARRIVED)

Once Ina Yoon comes here, she will dominate these 🤡 Ina needs to win five KLPGA tournaments in a row before she's worthy of being mentioned in America. Yealimi made five cuts in five tournaments; she's still on an up trajectory especially this past two weeks. However, she's a light-weight when compared to the like of Nelly, Hannah or Jin Young. She may never win but I hope she proves me wrong.

Nobody who has a shot at winning ever steps up but we do sometimes get great Sundays from players who are too far back to win. Jin Young had a fantastic Sunday, but she was too far back to catch the leaders.
When I was writing the So Yeon Ryu retrospective blog post, it really struck home how terrible things have gotten. She won the US Women's Open at *20* years old, younger than any of these women. She had 16 top tens in her first year, *12* top fives. TWELVE. And she wasn't even the best Korean on tour. Who among the current crop is anywhere near that? Not a one.
Today I gave up when Im hit an approach on the 15th and of course it rolls past the green and into water I didn't even know was there. The magic of the Sisters is finding ways to screw up that weren't apparent.
About the only optimistic thing I can say is at least Jin Young found a way to get a top ten even without her best stuff, and at least we had several players in the hunt for a while. And it was a decent result for two of the rookies, and I never hold it against rookies too much because they do have a learning curve to contend with. But I can't think of a single reason to watch any more LPGA for now. If they couldn't win here it's not going to happen any time soon.
