I wonder if there's anyone who has won as recently as Hyo Joo who has crappier odds? Weird. Strange indeed. I'm guessing m/c at Chevron depleted her odds, but the bigger hitters will always have an advantage there.

Sung Hyun will be back soon. She'll salvage the season for Korea.

I expect Jin Young to bounce back this week too (and Patty) who may have been caught up in the emotion of playing with Perfect Woman for the final 2 rounds of her illustrious career. Sei Young is the current favorite amongst the sisters and is certainly overdue for another W - playing great this year!

Hyo Joo 40/1 to win is a slap in the face. I'll take that all day. I'll bet $10.00 on Yealimi @ 150/1. Gina Kim finished T17 last year here too, I hope the season gets rolling finally!

So Mi has to work on her putting. In her first 6 holes, she was 6/6 GIR with three bogies and a birdie. Yes, three three putts in the first six holes. After 15 holes, she has moved back to 1 over and still has only missed one green.
[EDIT]: +2 total, 17/18 GIR, 37 putts. I know you putt more when you hit more greens, but ouch! She has to work on that.

Minjee is looking lost out there, I'll blame the equipment change. No real concern.
Grace Kim season has finally woken up!
Yealimi is playing poorly it seems but even par nonetheless. This time last year she would be +4
Epson doesn't start til tomorrow, a good day for AP I hope, im sure she enjoys hanging out with her Trojan buddies Gabby and Karen at least.

Haeran! New kid Chanettee off to a good start. Borge birdied three of her first four holes, was sitting atop the leaderboard when I headed back to work after lunch. Must have gotten some bad advice from her caddy, ended the day even.

Never heard of Liqi Zeng before today, but she is a 17 (!?!?) year old rookie from China re Q school and currently 2nd on tour in distance behind Awesome Kim (-5 today)

It's been awhile since I've heard Emma Talley speak. She's really got the full Elly May Clampett going on.

Bailey Two trying out for the Dodgers today ... hit three doubles in her first four at-bats. She is in full Hilary Lunke mode this season: one win and the rest are trunk slams.
*********
Liqi Zheng fell back to Even ... the combined golf stink of DK and J. Song must have caught up to her.
*********
Veteran looper Mark Wallington is with A Lim Kim this week ... dude, try to make that permanent! Hanging around with Yani isn't doing you any good.

Bailey keeps sinking... she's now reached Kang level at plus+9 and she still has two 'at-bats' to go...

Today it's not "Fur-oo yellow" but an equally fluorescent "Fur-oo pink." And we get to see a lot of Ayaka because she's hanging with Rose...

Sei! Young! Kim! Nice first round at minus-6. Clean scorecard. Only interruption was the lengthy interview with Rose as Sei Young was sinking her par on her final hole... and Tom Abbott even interviewed Sei Young after the round. She rated with Rose for end of round interview!
I'm imagining that I hear the voice of the 'real' Haney, "I'm picking Kim this weekend, there's three of them in the top five!"

Good job by the Korean golfers in the first round. Can they improve the next two days and don't fade on the Final Round.
I would expect two great ball strikers Jin Young Ko and Hee Jeong Lim to be in the mix on the weekend. Not fighting to make cuts, that being said I expect them to turn it around before the year is over. I did see an article where Hee Jeong is trying to improve her club head speed....why. She has done a great job on tour so far so why fix something that aren't broken.
So Mi Lee has always had some bad putting days, but she has had some great putting days as well. Looks like she needs to improve her lag putting and leave herself less stressful par putts. I wonder if she goes back and look at some of the putts she missed and why she missed them. I see golfers on the driving range with all the gadgets to line up short putts. When all you need to do is hit the ball in the hole.

I didn't see the interview, but I was told that Charlie Hull was being praised for the number of consecutive months in Rolex top ten. I think it was 37 months.
Now why don't they run over and talk to Jin Young about how long she has been in the Rolex top ten.
