Seems like the afternoon conditions are a lot easier, a lot more low scores. Nasa was a little dicey this morning, but Jin Young was fine, so hoping they can do better tomorrow.
Inky actually made the coverage!
A Lim and Yealimi go go go!

Good lord AP and Jen are cooking today. 8 birdies and are currently the top sisters! I guess this is the one week of the year Annie will flash her top 50 CME potential.
Auston/Grace + Giant Lims are one back of them.
What a great tournament!
*Correction now 9 birdies and one shot off the lead đŸ˜®

The Entitled Enchanted Malaysian Princess and her Maid of Honor -- in their matching J. Lindberg outfits -- finished the morning wave in -- wait for it -- 2nd PLACE, until the easier scoring afternoon teams remade the leaderboard.

I just happened to notice that about an hour ago, SS had the most simultaneous users online (153) in the history of this forum. I guess this quirky little tournament is more popular than I thought. Either that or there's a LOT of EMP fans out there.

The Entitled Enchanted Malaysian Princess and her Maid of Honor -- in their matching J. I counted 13 team interviews on this YT page and NOT ONE of AP + Jen who scored the most birdies today. What is this tomfoolery

This event is so weird. Saso, Boutier, Furue, all +4; Amy Yang +3. Meanwhile, Georgia Oboh and Lakareber Abe are beating them all. Who are these people? Are they LPGAers?
Well, not a great start for Jin Young and Nasa, but hopefully they can right the ship tomorrow and make the cut at least. Inky and Haeji Kang are four back; Hae Ran and So Mi three back; A Lim and Yealimi two back. Those last two teams are probably tons of fun to watch; I hope we get a chance to see them tomorrow.
Hwaiting!

Hopefully if Yealimi wins she will lock up her Solheim pick you'd think, as if it wasn't obvious already!

Per a Japanese article regarding Chairwoman Mao and Eugenia via Google mush:
Song and Nishigo were also together in last year's final qualifying tournament (Q Series), and as fellow rookies, they also played in the same group in a match, and "we became very close." She had originally planned to return to Japan temporarily after the major "KPMG Women's PGA Championship" the week before, but she was invited to play in a doubles match, so she decided to play at short notice. She is a comrade who greets me in Japanese, which she has just learned, and calls me "Mao-chan" affectionately, so she can play comfortably.
Mao also chose to play Sung's Titleist ball during alternate shot, on the assumption that Sung probably never played a Bridgestone ball before.

Based on early scoring, A Lim is going all the heavy lifting for Team Giant Lims whereas Annie and Jen are doing the "ham and egg approach" but Jen is scoring all the birdies and AP is saving all the pars when she bogeys. That's teamwork! No word on their team name but I hope their music is LL Cool J "Mama Said Knock You Out" just for the opening line alone. DONT CALL IT A COMEBACK. They are leaving team "Jin and Ronic" in the dust. According to Jeeno in the presser, both of their coaches to drink a lot of alcohol when they meet up, hence the play on words.
Looks one of Gina/Auston made an ace today - Yu Jin + Mao moving up the leaderboard too. You can separate Jasmine + Clanton but both teams are in the top 10 currently.

Wowzers AP and Jen started -4 thru 10 and +1 thru the rest of the round. How do you score worse in 4 balls? Good news is they will make the cut at least!
Today seems like a good day for Gina Kim and Hyo Joon so shoot a -9 and get back in this thing.
Auston + Grace tied for first!
Giant Lims to will be 2 or 3 off the lead when the round ends and are still very much in it.

Great bounce back rounds by Mao Saigo/Yu Jin Sung minus nine after minus one first day. Ditto So Mi Lee/Hae Ran Ryu minus three first round, minus seven second round.

No sign of any Sisters on the broadcast except Amy and Jennifer Song, and they are clearly not entirely focused with good reason.
Eugene and Mao made a huge leap, -9. Two thirds thanks to Mao today. A Lim and Yealimi and Hae Ran and So Mi also on the leaderboard. Hae Ran and So Mi were pretty much even, while A Lim did most of the work in her pairing.
Jin Young and Nasa are just starting. They have some work to do, but there are a lot of birdies out there if one or both catch fire.

I didn't see any sisters on the broadcast besides Gina Kim missing a birdie putt and Amy Yang/Jen Song missing the cut
Team Finnlaysia going on a run, Gina/Hyo Joon look to be safe as well but still work to do (-5 thru 10)
