To amplify an earlier remark on flights, Korean Air has one direct flight (10 hrs) PER DAY from Incheon to SeaTac ... it's longer the other way, but that's a daily flight, too. That's less arduous than going to Philly and then Lancaster. Yeah, it sure looks like KPMG has no prestige or buzz for the KLPGAers. Just looked at the scores from the 2023 AIGWO ... that's another one they don't care about.
Anything French has prestige for Koreans ... it sure looked that way when I used to watch K-dramas.🤣 Heck, even Ji Young Park will play Evian ... I can't recall her ever playing the LPGA ... hmm, maybe I should research that.
I think the JLPGA bosses are comfortable with its members scoring well in LPGA majors ... they give out some Mercedes points for them, in addition to what's earned on the home tour.

They have some stupid rules this year. Apparently we are not allowed to bring backpacks or cinch bags. I think the max bag size is 10" x 10". So I need to figure out how to bring my usual supplies with me (sunscreen, water, snacks, spare jacket, etc) in a small, hard to carry bag. And if they reject your bag, you have to throw it out; there is nowhere to store it while on the premises (or go back to your car, which is a long shuttle ride both ways).
Ha ha, you're out of practice going to the LPGA ... I got myself a good-size durable nylon fanny pack years ago from Walmart as my tour "gamer" ... big enough for a 10 oz. water bottle, small sunblock bottle and a shades case. You won't need a jacket for at least the first three rounds as the high temps will be 82F, 82F and 79F and dry ... Sunday will b 66F w/ 25% of precip. Also, once you're there, you're there ... you can't leave the premises and return with the ticket that was scanned earlier ... unless you have another unscanned ticket.

Last Olympic gasp for The Shinster
Sophia Pop-off practicing at the 16th hole ... I get the impression that all the other holes look the same.

No cinch bags? Seriously? Another ridiculous aspect is one has to buy tickets for each round. No opportunity to buy an all-four-round ticket. Seatgeek gets their fees. I wish I could remember how it was eight years ago, but I seem to recall I could buy a package deal.
What is true is that spectator parking will again be on a lot in Marymoor Park which is in the city of Redmond. I did some research and found that on Thursday and Friday, I can take a bus from my town's transit center all the way to the sprawling Microsoft campus which is located in the west of Redmond. I can then transfer to an express bus that takes me from the campus station to downtown Redmond. From there, I will walk to Marymoor.
On the weekend, I will drive to the southern terminus of the light rail in south Bellevue and take the train to its northern terminus - at the Microsoft campus station.
For the first two days, I plan to get there early and leave in the middle of the afternoon.
Looking forward to it!

Throwing fish makes more sense than the Wall of Gum downstairs from the fish tossers. Yeah, that's a thing. Seattle is a strange place. I've only been to Pike Place 2 or 3 times, and the last time was 15 or 18 years ago. Don't know how long the Wall of Gum has been there. When I didn't remember it then I asked my wife if she remembered it and she said no, then she added, "That is sickening!"

Oh no Yealimi made a triple 💀 but still +1 on her round so far. Let's get it back to even par by the end of the day!

Tough day at the Office for the Korean Golfers first round. Two golfers under par, two even par and thirteen golfers plus three or worse. They have some catching up to do on the second round.

Lexi, Nelly, and Patty... what a surprise!
Go Amy, Hyo Joo, Jin Young, and Six! If Friday plays like today, cut will be plus+3. A chance for more sisters to play the weekend... only two seem out of range beyond plus+4...
Alison Lee and Strom, two golfers that would fit at the top of the leaderboard, finish at plus+9. They almost beat half of the teaching pros!

Shibuno and Yubol are built for the big stages.
Nice to see Caroline Inglis up there. She is from the PNW so not very surprising - needs a good finish to secure her status for this and next year. Quack Quack. Also I noticed she is swooshed up head to toe, but guessing it's due largely to her U of Oregon ties.
Nelly-Lexi Saturday pairing would be neato, but plenty of golf to be played tomorrow for Lexi to gag away her lead... Or is that Sunday?
Lucy Li +12?!? Time to reset, that's 5 shots worse than Yani.
I think JYK will make a move tomorrow, she's been in a slumber for too long, time to break out (again).
