A small rules controversy.
So Ina putts first, misses her birdie, then steps up and taps in the par. Yewon points out that it was not her turn to go. She puts the marker back, Yewon putts out, then Ina goes back and hits her par (we don't see it but hear it).
Apparently in match play, you have to rigidly observe the order of play. I could swear I recall from either Solheim Cup or other match play events that you are able to maintain control of the ball once you start putting. So, the first player who putts is the farthest, but if you want to finish up you continue your play and the other player has to wait. Based on what I've just read, that seems to only be the case in stroke play?
So there was that discussion, and also some who think Lee should have just conceded that putt since she had already holed it before. And others who complained that Lee was watching the whole time and could have mentioned it to Yoon before she putted. Personally, I think it's always fine to make your opponent putt if you are allowed to do so, and Lee was probably just confused as to what was going on and so didn't mention anything while Yoon was putting, but that seems to be another bone of contention in the comments. I'd rather she have to putt again then lose the hole because she accidentally played out of turn.

Who will see Park Hyun-kyung at the US Open?
It looks like I will ... I wasn't aware that she was on the USGA exempt list, which means she must have put in her (digital) paperwork ... she has skipped earlier opportunities to play the USWO.

According to her bio on my site, she finished t-49th at the 2018 US Women's Open. So it won't be her first rodeo.
Glad to hear she's trying again though!
