Jung Min Lee has dropped out. Yewon Lee gets an unearned win, moves to 3-0 and has advanced to the elimination round. Han Sol Ji and Do Eun Park are eliminated.

Min Byeol is playing brilliantly, but even if she wins, she needs Moon to lose or she is eliminated. And Ka Bin Choi has not been able to get ahead of Moon, so Jeongmin will probably advance. Still a few holes left, though!
[EDIT]: Moon is dormie, so she will advance. Min Byeol came as close as you can come to advancing without doing it. She won one match, is 6 up in her current match, and led against Moon for 16 of 18 holes, but still will end up losing to Moon in the bracket. Que sera sera, she should get some positive momentum from this I think!

If as you say Ina can't find a birdie, how is her length going to beat Yewon in the final four?
I wouldn't be surprised if Yewon dropped out too due to illness. Why keep playing while sick?

Short answer: if Ina doesn't make birdies, she will probably lose against Yewon or players who do. She was lucky that Hee Jeong Lim did not play well, because all four of her hole wins came because of Lim bogies. Fortunately, she played really well on the back nine today, making several birdies and overwhelming So Yi Jeong. If she can play like that going forward, she will be much more formidable. You could argue Min Byeol Kim played better the past three rounds than Ina; her first round was not that good, but she was superlative in rounds 2 and 3. Alas, timing is everything: she lost to Jeongmin Moon (who also did not play well that day) in the first round, and Moon went on to win all three matches. Thus Kim goes home early. That's match play! |

It will be interesting to see if Moon would make Ina putt for par from two feet like Su Ji Kim did LOL. |

Keep in mind that tomorrow they will play the round of 16 and the quarterfinals. There will be four ladies left by the end of the day.
A few comments:
Not seeing a clear fave here. So Young seems like the kind of player who would do well at match play and she was undefeated, so I'll predict her.
Three undefeated players and Ga Eun Song, who has played more golf than anyone (including a 7-hole playoff to get into this spot). Hyo Ju has surprised me, but Cutieful is well rested (she has only played two rounds) so she seems like a good bet. Moon has gotten better every round, though.
Yewon is not 100%, but she would certainly be the one to predict if she is properly medicated. Everyone except Ji U Ko was undefeated.
Ina and Ga Young are undefeated. I would predict Ina but don't look past Ga Young, who seems to like this format. Which Song Yi Ahn will show up? If the one who played Bang comes, she doesn't have a chance against Ina or Ga Young. But if she plays like she did today against Ayean, don't count her out.

Feel sorry for Uhjin Seo in her match against Ji U Ko: tied, she hits her approach within 15 feet. Ko is well off the green, then proceeds to chip in to win the hole. On the NEXT hole, Ko is four times as far from the hole as Seo and drains a forty footer to win THAT hole.

Man, Ga Young Lee just had the lucky break of the century. Her approach on the par 5 was way right towards the water, but somehow ended up on a small patch of short grass right next to the green. She made birdie and won the hole. I thought for sure that was in the water. Anyways, she is tied with Ina and holes are running out. Drama!
