Nah. Even when Se Ri was just starting, you already had Mi Hyun Kim as a legit superstar in Korea and Grace Park demolishing the competition in the amateur ranks. Ya can't include Grace in this convo...she's about as FAKE as they come....just as FAKE as Ko. ....Grace isn't a REAL sista...just like you don't consider Lydia a REAL Korean. I like both REAL & FAKE Koreans....I'm no racist and Grace is pretty SWEET!!

Respect to May for I didn't give enough to her. As Judy Rankin said, just think how good she can get when she trusts her driver. She can still get nervy but she is controlling that better and better. I loved the course. I wish they would play more English countryside courses. 1) Needed to be set up a bit tougher IMO. I don't like it when Majors are won at 15 under par or lower. Perhaps a bit longer, or more rough off the tee? 2) Still, it's nice to see a tournament in Britain where the ladies aren't dressed in parkas! 1) Blame the LGU clowns...remember when they neutered CarNASTY when Yani won, making it a pitch and putt course. 2) So you won't watch the KLPGA when the pros are bundled up like SKY.....sometimes UK links golf gets pretty good weather....remember when Eldrick (GOAT #2) ..........2 ironed a baked out Hoylake and dismantled his competition. The Korean gals smoke all the LPGA pros in their cold weather gear...no comparison.....SKY is looking pretty AWESUMMER in the above pic. LUV SKY!!!...she's a SMOKESHOW like Belen.

Grace Park is the Queen, can do no wrong and not only is a real Seoul Sister but should be on the Mt. Rushmore of Seoul Sisters, along with Inbee, Jiyai and, of course, Se Ri! 😂
Okay, now that the Grace fanboy in me has spoken, I can't agree that the Sisters let this one get away. Maybe if that were Inbee chasing Ariya, then yes. In that scenario, Inbee playing as Mirim did would be out of character. But Inbee is Inbee for a reason just as Mirim is Mirim for a reason.
Ariya didn't completely implode like Honda (when Inbee was the beneficiary) or ANA. We can play the what if game with Mirim, but we could do the same with Jutanugarn. What if she didn't get greedy and miss the green short in the bunker on 9? That's when she started to get tight, long before the double bogey on 13.
I will agree, as I've already posted, that it's not appropriate to call Thailand a threat to the Seoul Sisters at this point any more than Taiwan was a threat when Yani was winning...and that would have been closer considering there were other Taiwanese tournament wins like Candie Kung. Ariya has no company in official wins. Maybe some want somebody other than Seoul Sisters to dominate. Keep waiting.
Now, as I posted, there are some talented up and coming players like Muangkumsakul. They might sneak up on Americans because some of them, like her, turned pro very young. She turned pro at 14, unlike Ariya and Seoul Sister Grace Park whom you saw coming from miles away because of their amateur dominance.

If the new Thai players want to be more accepted by the racist Merican audience....they need to Anglicize their names or find a nickname if playing on the LPGA...ala Birdie Kim, Grace Park, etc.

Now, In Gee Chun, who I believe turns 22 next week, could be that player that joins the above 4. I was sure she was earlier in the year, now i'm not as sure. The talent is sure there, but as we both know, that doesn't always mean that much (look at Korda). You never know how this going to work out as injuries play so much of a part in sports. But I can see Ariya winning 8 times next year, Lydia six, and Brooke will get a few. That doesn't leave many more tournaments. We need our players to step up and finish. IMO...I think Bam Bam is as talented as anyone on the LPGA tour...but like Korda...I don't think these two really have being #1 on tour as their career objective. 17 wins between Ariya, Ko and Brooke next year...I don't think so......don't get caught up in the flood gates are open just because Ariya won her 1st major.

Happy & Tonyj You two are the most racist/biased on this site....lol. I don't know any other members who are so fascinated/fawning by nationality.....hmmmm....but you also have something in common that might explain your racism...you both have women golf blogs. Golf is mainly an individual sport...so why not root for the player vs. a player's nationality? I don't see the Smiling Buddha fawning over Brooke, Alena, RLB, Sue Kim, etc....heck....he's only seen Brooke play 3 practice holes as a LPGA member and has never watched Alena, RLB, Sue play one hole. He also doesn't care for Lori Kane and things Mike Weir is lame and aloof. And as a FAKE....he also doesn't always fawn over Shanshan, Xi Lu or Muni (ok...just a bit...lol), etc. He just likes golfers of all nations. Ya he's biased over the eye candy gals....but he also has MANY gals who are not considered the GLAMOR gals that he roots for and also goes out to watch play live. Make Rooting for All Nations Great Again!!

I like to comment about Grace Park being called a fake Korean. She spent a lot of time in the U.S, however she always played under the Korean flag.
Lydia parents decided to sell her talent to New Zealand. Even though she was born in Korea she considers herself (probably for payback)a New Zealander. Lydia probably had little say in the matter, she is just not going against her parents wishes.
With that said I really like Lydia.

I would hold off my coronation of Henderson. Right now she had a hot streak and sneaked into a Major win. Because of the total number of tournaments she has played, the Rolex Ranking devisor helps her. After next year, when she has played a lot more tournaments. If she is still top five. I will feel that she is one of the top players. Nothing about her game impresses me.

You are right...the Entitled Canadian Princess is in a favorable ranking position right now due to her small divisor. I will say that Brooke's putting can get suspect...on another Canadian golf website...supposedly Brooke was whining how she couldn't figure out Woburn's greens. Yup...until Brooke gets a larger divisor and stays in the top 5 can we say she's a REALLY GOOD contender....but the gal has game...no doubt about it. But to read some cyber space comments comparing the early career results of some pros to GOAT #2 or Mannika is a bit much until they start to reach....IMO.....50+ LPGA tour wins and many majors too. As I said before...when I saw Brooke play a Canadian tour event as an Am here back in 2013 at Beach Grove....she had an unbelievably low traj on her driver and I though she's gonna have to work on that to be a top LPGA player. Brooke certainly has surprised me and others how well she's play since 3 years ago. The thing I really appreciate when I watch the gals and guys too on the range is how high they can hit all their clubs and that each hit is so PURE....minimal chunks or skulls.

Whoa! I didn't see tonyj suggest the possibility of Ariya winning 8 times next year! Even I don't think that!
I'm so sure that won't happen that if it does happen in 2017 I will post a video on my blog of me getting a Cristie Kerr tattoo!

I guess Sei Young Kim is not good enough to be thought of as a top player. She just won tournaments in Korea and on the LPGA tour as well. Every once in a while she goes south. But that have happened to every golfer not named Lydia, Inbee or Stacy.
I would put So Yeon in there because she is a consistent top twenty player. However I can't because of the way she finish rounds as well as tournaments.
Until she improve on both she will be just on the edge of being great.

I don't see 8 wins next year being out of the question at all, it's not inconceivable that Ariya will win 8 times this year, she's won 4 of the last 11 and there's 10 (maybe 11) to go.
