I'm thinking about the spectators. I don't want to stand against the cold sea breeze.

I wasn't interested in watching the PGA when Day slide back....so I did some work around the house. I turn on GC only to find out aloof Jimmy Walker won...BLAH.....the guy has zero personality. And he proved me correct and wouldn't sign any autographs for any kids during a practice rd I went to last year at Chambers.
Walker is the male Anna N....lol.

I loved the course. I wish they would play more English countryside courses. Nay....stick to links golf for the WBO.....I wanna see the girls made to look like fools in some pot bunkers, fescue and see them crying playing in the cold, wind and rain...it's not that bad for them...they have loops and $600 rain suits/rain gear. I enjoyed seeing the course, but I have to agree with 3putt that I look forward to the links and lousy weather for the WBO.

Yeah, the course didn't do anything for me either (as a major venue). I'm sure it's a top notch facility, and wouldn't mind playing a round on it, but the British Isles are the home of golf, and to me that means seaside links courses.

Aryia 51 is one of the best sports nicknames I've ever heard. Don, I know you hate the contrived "big 3". But even you have to admit now it is a legitimate "Big 2" . Looks like we will have an exciting two horse race to the POY awards and the million dollar.

Looks like Ariya has a new permanent loop. And it is not right.
The previous guy (don't know his name) went through thick and thin with her. I believe he was there when she had her slump last year with 10 missed cut in a roll. It was him who suggested Ariya to try carrying her now mighty 2 iron instead of the driver. And the rest, as they say, is history.
I know players and caddies relationship is fragile, and maybe they had a big fallout two weeks ago at the Marathon Classic, when she failed to beat the Wonder kid in 4 extra holes, but to get rid of the guy when you are on the cusp of superstardom is just wrong.

There was already "Thai is the next Korea" talk before her win today. Let's see if the win today will spawn future "Ariya kids". I don't know what kind of access Thai kids have to golf, but at least they have one advantage over the Koreans: year round playing. Happy Fan, are you sweating a little bit now ?

How about Tree? Leadbetter forced Se Ri to fire Jeff Cable. Then she hired that pencil neck geek Colin Cann. And he dumped her for the bleached blonde. It's a messy business.

That said Mo Martin is still nursing her thumb injury and that's been years..

The BWO is the one time of the year the girls get to play links golf, that's what it is and what it should be. I say no to more like this one, we get these type of courses week in week out and as a Major this course wasn't any more difficult than a CWO or a Kingsmill, dammit, Majors are supposed to be hard, make it so!

There's been a lot more Thai rookies on the LPGA over the last few years than there has been Koreans but the Koreans are (generally) of a much higher standard given their access to the 3rd best tour in the world. In time the Thai's will get better but I don't see them overtaking the Koreans in the Top 100 any time soon..

I would like to see her get to where she trust her driver. Just think how much better she can be if she can at least get in the top one hundred in accuracy. Most of the LPGA course setups don't put a premium on accuracy anyway. With the rest of her game she could really be dominant like Yani was for a while. I just never understand with such a HUGE sweet spot and forgiveness in a 460 CC driver ....how anyone can't hit a driver...especially an elite pro. Ariya is giving up the opportunity to hit 1 or 2 clubs shorter into the greens...therefore closer proximity to the hole for birdies...I think she could easily gain 2-4 strokes per event if she figured out her driver.....that stroke differential is HUGE for a contender. I totally see Aryia as a Yani type player, really strong with a decent short game but susceptible to the wilds. When she's on she's all but unbeatable but her results will vary wildly. Personally I don't want to see a driver in Ariya's hands any time soon, she's keeping up with most out there using her driving iron and given her extra length she's still hitting 1-2 clubs less into most greens. For sure if she could control her driver she'd be 3-4 clubs shorter into the greens but given that with using the driving iron she's still only ranked 108 in fairways hit I wouldn't be rushing to put the driver in play.. All that said I do believe that Ariya will be the next #1 player in the world, LK will keep her honest and Inbee will be back but I don't see anyone else out there that can grab wins like Ariya or have the consistency of an Inbee or LK. To be #1 you either need a LOT of wins or serious consistency..

Ariya earned $412,000.00 from her win; a far cry from Brittany Lang's $810,000.00 from USWO. All majors are not created equal. And you wanted the USGA to make the Guys and Girls equal pay for the USWO, how bad would all the other Majors look then? (not to mention it would make the money race silly as you win the USWO you win the money race) Currently all the Girls Majors (other than the USWO) are around the $400k mark, given that's roughly twice a regular event that seems a decent return.

Thank goodness for the solid round by IGC. I was worried Se Ri was going to throw her off the Olympic team for the good of the nation. The Timex World Rankings need some tweaking. Any poll that has Jutanugarn as number 6 is seriously flawed. Sunday should be a coronation. Can Lee hold on to 2nd place? Maybe Ha Na and In Gee will be paired together. The Caucasians are having a nice week. It must be something in the water. Duck hook Park is having a rough week. She just needs a couple of days in the shop for a full tune up and she'll be fine. Rolex fixed that for you, Ariya is now #2.. Well done Ariya!!

Completely agree on all points...Ariya, Yani and Wiesy. Wish Michelle would leave you-know-who and go back to Gary. Won't happen, though. Unless you're saying Ariya will fall off like they have. Well, just don't leave Gary for you-know-who, Ariya! BKB Shame on you not sniffing fanofseri's sarcasm. Did you notice MW going back to a bit more A swing stuff this week with the early hinge....Wiezy is LOST...she is so yesterday's news. I answered both...from the positive and snarky points of view...as for Wiesy...don't forget that Ariya looked even worse last year missing cut after cut after cut...I didn't give up on May, won't give up on Wiesy...although I'd love Wiesy to leave you-know-who...but they seem to love him, so it won't happen... By the way, I'll give dude a pass on not saying her first name quite right...but did he actually pronounce the J like a Y? Yoo-tanugarn? Reminds me of Anchorman...Jogging...it might be a soft J...yogging...but hasn't Ariya been around the LPGA long enough to know it's not Yoo-tanugarn? As you might imagine, Ariya is all over the news in Thailand.
