Just watched Ariya's presser...she's pretty funny. The media can ask some stupid questions....like if she was watching a plane early in her rd....WTF....lame. Once they found out she left her driver in the locker....they should have asked what it is about the driver she doesn't like and after her answer with a follow up question with the specs/model of her driver and if she's been tinkering with changing the specs/shafts/length, etc. I think she might have an Aeroburner driver. She should go to a fitter with Gilchrest and toy around with shafts on all 3 M1 heads.....she could test out lofts from 6.5-14 with a wrench I would like to see her get to where she trust her driver. Just think how much better she can be if she can at least get in the top one hundred in accuracy. Most of the LPGA course setups don't put a premium on accuracy anyway. With the rest of her game she could really be dominant like Yani was for a while.

Cara Robinson is an Amazon woman...she towered over Lexi in the interview yesterday. Cara is listed as 6'1", and Lexi 6'0". Cara is my favorite "Morning Drive" anchor.

Congrats to Beth Allen(-6) for winning the LET Women's Open this week...throw in her high finish last week in Scotland and she should be able to replenish her wardrobe.

Ariya earned $412,000.00 from her win; a far cry from Brittany Lang's $810,000.00 from USWO. All majors are not created equal.

Aryia is lucky to have hooked up with Gary Gilchrist. He builds swings that last a lifetime. Don't believe me? Just ask Yani Tseng or Michelle Wie. Completely agree on all points...Ariya, Yani and Wiesy. Wish Michelle would leave you-know-who and go back to Gary. Won't happen, though. Unless you're saying Ariya will fall off like they have. Well, just don't leave Gary for you-know-who, Ariya!

Did they say how long Ariya has been working with Gilchrest? Last year at Lancaster CC, she opened with bogeys on #10 & #11 on Thursday, en route to a 79. Behind the 11th green, her mom was talking to a guy who had the look of an instructor (but he didn't look like Gilchrest). The guy did most of the talking in a hushed conversation, but I heard him clearly say, "there's nothing wrong with her". Hmmm....maybe momma thought, "Okay, if she's alright, then YOU must be the problem!"
*******
I noticed Mo Martin finally got rid of that TaylorMade R1 relic driver, in favor of their M2.

Congrats to Ariya. Yeah, I thought it was going to be a cakewalk, but she stumbled mid-round. Still, a true champ hangs in there, and she finished strong.
That missed but on 18 was fairly costly for Mirim. Gotta stay focused when solo 2nd is on the line.
Awful week for Lydia, Brooke, Sung Hyun, and Gerina. I thought they would all play a factor. Not so much.
'Very nice, albeit quiet, tourament by In Gee, Ha Na, and So Yeon.

Mirim did stay focused....I think she was still nervy on 18 even though the event was basically over.....is was a pretty pathetic stroke....kinda like my 4 similar gag strokes yesterday too....my putting is in shambles right now...ugh......only 3/10 in scrambling yesterday too....sucky type chipping...blah. Yes, Ko looks awful and stinking on the greens too. That A Swing BS is catching up...trying to remember all it's positions and hinges....it's now affecting her proximity to the hole on her approach shots. Dump Deadbetter and do a Hogan, Lydia.....figure it out on your own in the dirt and experiment and get a more natural swing back. Can Jason too, call TMac.

Ya...I'm thinking Ariya hasn't bben with Gary long...as I said...all I saw him was with Creamer on the greens in Seattle...obviously he may have wandered to others too during the event. Sean Hogan was pretty well exclusive with the LOVELY HYP.....I didn't see him with Ko...and Deadbetter was likely at Oakmont. The R1 is a pretty good head but likely nothing like the M1/M2 head....I hit the M1 months ago on a sim with a Kuro Kage stiff....it felt pretty sweet.

Did you notice MW going back to a bit more A swing stuff this week with the early hinge....Wiezy is LOST...she is so yesterday's news.

Congrats to Beth Allen(-6) for winning the LET Women's Open this week...throw in her high finish last week in Scotland and she should be able to replenish her wardrobe. And maybe a new girlfriend too. Today was Van City's PRIDE parade. Justin Trudeau wasted taxpayer's money and participated in the parade....no way Harper would fly in. Make Canada Great Again!

I still think Cara is at least 6'3"...notice Gary Williams stays clear standing beside her on MD if he can. I miss Holly...she drove MD viewership...I like Paige but she's not a TV natural.

I just never understand with such a HUGE sweet spot and forgiveness in a 460 CC driver ....how anyone can't hit a driver...especially an elite pro. Ariya is giving up the opportunity to hit 1 or 2 clubs shorter into the greens...therefore closer proximity to the hole for birdies...I think she could easily gain 2-4 strokes per event if she figured out her driver.....that stroke differential is HUGE for a contender.

Respect to May for I didn't give enough to her. As Judy Rankin said, just think how good she can get when she trusts her driver. She can still get nervy but she is controlling that better and better.
I loved the course. I wish they would play more English countryside courses.

I loved the course. I wish they would play more English countryside courses. Nay....stick to links golf for the WBO.....I wanna see the girls made to look like fools in some pot bunkers, fescue and see them crying playing in the cold, wind and rain...it's not that bad for them...they have loops and $600 rain suits/rain gear.
