Paula's victory is the shot in the arm this tour needed. Finally, the US is back on top.

HappyFan Hmmmmmmmm GIMME -5 and Annie Park is +3....8 strokes behind in one day. Smiling Budda 1.......HappyFan 0 Nice try, but you lose! What I said was that Annie Park had a comparable amateur career to Alison Lee, maybe better. You said "no way", and I proved you wrong, after which you got strangely silent. I never said that that meant anything for her pro career. In fact, I have repeatedly said that even big college stars are often washouts on the LPGA, which doesn't bode well for Park or any other college star. And having said that, let's see how the next ten events or so pan out. I'm still hoping Annie will be the exception to the rule, she seems cool.

There is nobody at this event watching. Nobody watches women's golf....this is not news.Atlantis is a very expensive resort....likely a really costly mandatory resort fee too in addition to all the other costs....so no fanboys are gonna fly there to watch some skirts chasing a white ball. The golf attendance is free. There was a free tix promo to the Sybase match play event...there are 12 million people within 2 hrs....no one showed up to that event except for TonyJ and Cindy. I mean there is NOBODY there. I know golf course basically a TV studio but it's sort of a weird place to have a golf tournament in that respect. Nice to see Kang do well. She'd be fun to see in the Solheim with her match play record. Doesn't she hang out w/ the Gretzky's or something?

Impressive -5 round 2 for Sei Young; she is at -7, one behind clubhouse leader.

SYK. They said on the broadcast yesterday that she's got 8 wins and they were all on islands. Wind player.

SYK. They said on the broadcast yesterday that she's got 8 wins and they were all on islands. Wind player. That must have been an exaggeration...the only serious island in Korea is Jeju; maybe all her Korean wins were along the sea. I remember her hitting sawed-off irons and wedges as a KLPGA rookie, so windy conditions are no problem for her. They just showed Mi Hyang draining a bomb on #14 (she started at #10) and she's now -3. Old Mike may have been s**t-canned again...she has a black caddie, but couldn't get a good look at him. Maybe he's a local...or maybe he's the one known as 'Motion'...an LPGA lifer, very popular, he wears a button-down shirt and tie under his bib. Ashcan Ashlan Ramsey (68-82) got blown out to sea...I wonder if she still hits those skyrocket irons I witnessed at the 2012 WAPL...maybe not the best choice in today's conditions. Crap, Mi Hyang just doubled the par-5 15th. Regarding crowds, the grandstands were more than half-full at the 18th green when Paula C. arrived, which isn't bad for an isolated resort. If I paid a bundle for a vacation in Nassau, I'd be doing stuff instead of watching a golf tournament for four days.

Hyo Joo, the steadiest hands in golf, is -5 after 10 holes.

Inbee Park has announced that she has withdrawn from next week's Coates Championship in Florida. She said she has Lowe back problems and "wants to be ready for Singapore."..I assume that means she will be skipping Australia also. Is it related to her unorthodox swings?

I doubt it has much to do with her swing. It would be a shame if this is a chronic problem and it derails her hall of fame career. Perhaps, Lydia Ko's mother placed a few rocks underneath her mattress.

Don said :"Nice to see Kang do well. Doesn't she hang out with Gretzky.
I believe she plays at the L A Country Club with Marcus Allen and Wayne Gretzky.
I saw all her televised matches of US Women Amateur. She was so impressive. I really liked the final match against Jessica Korda. I also like Jessica play and how nice she were, even though she lost.
I expected her to have a win or two by now. Either that or be in contention and have more top tens.

More Round One pics of Mi Hyang; haven't found any from Round Two (yet). She almost capsized mid-round, but righted the ship to make the cut...will play w/ Mo Martin again tomorrow. Annie Don't Get Your Gun
