I guess Paula Creamer and So Yeon made it off Tonyj5 "not hot list" this week. They both had good tournaments.

Is it my imagination that a lot of people aren't happy with Inbee as number one. I like Lydia, but there is sure a lot more fanfare, when she become number one. As opposed to Inbee. Outside of the media....I don't think the players nor fans really care much about who is #1.

From a media perspective, Lydia is 18 years old and is doing record breaking stuff. That's news worthy. It is a far better story that a teenager is the best player in the world. Now, I don't know about the players. Inbee always struck me as someone who was nice, but kind of cold, whereas Lydia always struck me as someone who was genuinely happy to be friends with other players on Tour. In the end, though, the story is 10 wins at 18 years old. That's crazy stuff.

As Lydia was steamrolling the field, I was rolling my eyes at the announcers always qualifying her chances for victory. Impressive stuff for Ko! I agree with Happy Fan that she will take it to the house for the rest of the season. I guess they can't very well say, "This one is totally over. Why are you still watching?" I couldn't bring myself to watch the utter blowout which I sensed was coming, even if my favorite Sister was in contention for second place. Congrats to Lydia on beating the crap out of everyone yet again! I always like when So Yeon is in contention for a top five, but it's a bit sad for me when she's so totally out of it that there is literally no chance she could get the trophy. How often is a check for $157,000 stained with tears of regret? (OK, I'm sure So Yeon is smiling again, cause she doesn't let stuff like that get her down ). Really, the Sisters are not playing as badly as their lack of wins implies. It's hard to celebrate two players tied for second when they were three laps behind the winner, but it's certainly better than no one in the top ten. And Amy, Hyo Joo, Mirim and Jenny Shin all had top 20s as well. I'm still hoping there will be a Korean win on this Asian swing; I'm not sure I ever recall one Asian swing where they didn't get at least one trophy. So, with most of the year ending award races basically over, I'm turning my attention to the one that Ko can't win: the Rookie race. Hyo Joo and Sei Young both are neck and neck, and Minjee Lee still has an outside chance to grab it if she can turn up the heat a little. I hope they all can finish the season well and make this a rookie race we'll never forget. Go Sisters!!!

Not all top 5s are the same. Most of the time, Ryu would be sulking after this event, but she broke a streak of tournaments where she was not part of the conversation at all, and Ko was downright unstoppable this week, and Ryu still played well. I think both she and Eun-Hee have to be taking a bunch of positives after this. Ryu is going to skip the rest of the Asian Swing, and will be returning at Mexico. Maybe that will help recharge her.

Ko doesn’t expect the rivalry between the top-2 players in the world to get nasty. She commended Park for her kind demeanor and hinted that it’ll be all friendly competition as long as they’re both at the top. “I think she’s nicer than me, first of all and she’s never going to give me any crap or talk behind my back,” said Ko. Obviously a lot of catty back stabbing on the LPGA. www.lpga.com/news/2015-blue-bay-storylines

SYK and HJK have gone sideways....I always thought Minjee was a distance 3rd...but she right up there...Minjee has been playing under the radar.
