The LPGA doesn't know who Eun-Hee Ji is. The most exciting USWO finish that no one watched/cared. Including myself. Looking back...it looks like Kerr was the 3rd round leader and I can't say I would have been rooting for any among the top 25 leaders...maybe Anna Grzebian????and that's reaching....didn't even know who The Rocket or Aza back then.....and I consider myself a pretty hard core LPGA fanboy. www.lpga.com/tournaments/uswomensopenconductedbytheusga/results?filters=2009

BTW, I always wonder if they indeed had "Birdie Kim" engraved on the trophy? Edit: According to the greatest golf announcer of our time, Tom Abbott, So Yeon and I both resides in the same city here in SoCal. I will make sure to ask her next time I stalk bump into her in the neighborhood. What...you're off your LPGA restraining order so quickly....I thought you were on probation until 2017?

Although she has a loose swing...Xi Yu Lin has been playing well lately....I watched her play a bit in Vancouver....I wonder if I was a Caucasian Buddha whether I pay any attention to Shanshan or Lin.
Recari was at -2...and I thought she might have found a bit of form...not...+11 now....she was down right miserable in Vancouver and her poor play is not helping.
IMO....I think Charley's aggressive play stands in her way of holding up a LPGA trophy.

I dozed early this evening, then woke up at 2 AM...what else does one do at this time but watch golf! Ah, the memories of the 2009 USWO...well, the 2nd round at least, I was there. Even saw The Rocket whack the ground with her driver three times after an unsatisfactory tee shot...and watched Angela Park hit one crappy shot after another. Eun Hee Ji is another convert to the T/M M1. What is Sandra Gal doing here? It says KB Star on her shirt. Don't mooch off your sponsor...follow IBP's lead. Or, maybe the KLPGA doesn't want to risk a second furrener winning on their tour this year...racism! Mi Hyang (74-75), what's going on? Fatigue maybe...I think this is her 5th straight week playing. Can't find any pix of her...I assume Geezer Mike is with her. UPDATE: The broadcast is almost over and that Aussie goof just said Ji is a two-time major winner! He didn't read the revision at lpga.com. Or maybe he's right...it was Bivens, not Whan, who started the five majors per season nonsense.

So if the 2015 USWO was played at Saucon.....would we have seen record galleries or was Lancaster an aberration?
Talk about spectators...Taiwan has gone from crazy galleries in 2011 to a morgue like atmosphere this year. Again,I was in total shock to see 1/5 the gallery at this year's CP CWO....considering IMO .....a much deeper tour than in 2012.
Good catch about Sandra...what other foreigner won on the KLPGA.

Haru Nomura won the 2015 Hanwha.
Saucon was quite crowded...logically, the crowds should be bigger because it's closer to NYC.

So which Lydia will show up this weekend. She's showed some sloppy wedge and pitch shots at times.
I believe they are playing on wet/moist bermuda and it can play tricky....especially in the rough and the rough around the green.
Most of Ko's wins have been on non bermuda surfaces. Oz Open.....Royal Melbourne likely has bermuda...but I believe that course plays often on dry bermuda. CME....likely bermuda too....but I think it was fairly dry last year.

www.lpga.com/news/2015-round-one-quick-recap-fubon-lpga-taiwan-championshipHere's the heading of the article in the link above: Two-Time Major Champion Eun-Hee Ji Leads Fubon LPGA Taiwan ChampionshipOh really? They're including her 2008 win at Wegman's...excuse me, that was NOT a major...she played McDonald's two weeks before, which WAS a major. The LPGA can't even keep track of all their fake majors. The play by play guy last week ( Peter Donegan ?) also refers her as two time major winner. I guess it is in the computer database. Yeah, obviously the computer thinks "Wegman's" = "Wegman's LPGA Championship", but it didn't become that until the McDonald's ended and the Wegman's event absorbed the LPGA Championsihp a few years later (anyone know the exact year?). So yeah, not a two time Major winner. Only multiple Major winners among the Sisters are Inbee (7), Se Ri (5) and Jiyai (2).

Watched a bit of day one on tivo, then turned it off and discovered that day two was live. So I ended up basically watching that instead. So Yeon looks sharp again, and she was playing with HYP! So naturally, she got almost no coverage (at least not in the bit I watched). Still, she's up near the top of the leaderboard, so hopefully she can be a factor this weekend. She has to get over the hump and get a win sooner or later, may as well be this week. Go So Yeon!!!!! Sun Young Yoo and So Yeon Ryu will be paired tomorrow. Assuming they get any coverage, how many times will the commentators call them the wrong names? Two "SY Yoos" in one group ought to make for some hilarity. It does look like Ko is going to make Inbee pay for missing this event. If Ko wins here it's probably game over for all the season ending awards. And right now she is definitely in the driver's seat. Eun Hee hasn't won in half a decade, and has not really had much of a season, so unless she pulls a Korda, she is probably not going to win. Hull is wildly inconsistent, and Xi Yu Lin is good, but can she actually win? It might take a great effort from one of the gals four or five back to make a battle. A bit disappointed that Amy Yang hasn't played better; I was hoping her amazing end to last week would spark her here. But it's not impossible to imagine she could yet make a run. Go Sisters!!!!

Or, maybe the KLPGA doesn't want to risk a second furrener winning on their tour this year...racism! How does a white girl get a big time Korean sponsor? My guess it has little to do with golf and everything to do with wearing extremely "form-fitting" top and exceptionally short skort. Exhibit A and B, Sandra Gal and Sydnee Michaels. Who else am I missing ?

Don't get me started on this. Apparently it only works that way for the men ( Gene Sarazen and his "Augusta National Invitation Tournament" win ), but not for the women ( Queen Bee and her "pre-elavated" Evian ).
