Congrats to Lexi.
The Koreans and 'fake' Korean should be embarrassed and hand in their AZN cards...they handed Lexi the win. While all other pros were going low....the Koreans stalled...Lexi didn't even putt well for the week.
I expected all the leaders to fight for the trophy on the back nine exchanging the lead....but it was kinda boring with no one taking it to Lexi.
Way too many commercials and they didn't mute Stupples.
I gotta believe Jason Hamilton had a very long talk with The Dragon Lady and likely now on probation...or she fired him and will hire a volunteer loop in Taiwan...Jason cost her $220,000.
I hope they don't serve The Dragon Lady peanuts in a bag on the flight from Incheon to Taipei.
Amazing birdie streak by Amy....yet we only saw one hole...major fail.
It would have been nice to see Sung Hyun Park win....another Korean to ruin the LPGA tour.
No surprise to see Jaye Marie Green there to celebrate Lexi's win....also classy to see Dumbo there too.
I hope Yani can win next week...but the pressure on her will be enormous.

The Koreans are really having trouble closing right now; even in their home country, they can't get the win. But this proved to be a good one, with a great battle until maybe two holes to go. To me, the story of the week wasn't the winner. Amy Yang just committed a class A felony by absolutely stealing the spotlight this week. Nine freaking birdies in a row! Birdies on every hole on the back nine. This is the lady who couldn't get a main sponsor earlier in the year? Absolutely jaw dropping! And an all time record to boot.  So Lydia is human after all. The whole back nine I was waiting for her to start draining putts. She never really dropped out of contention even with all her mistakes. She'll probably get the consolation of the #1, or maybe the money list lead, so she still managed to win something as it turned out.  Sung Hyun Park is the other big story for the Sisters. With all due respect to Thompson, the reason she won is because Park was repeatedly robbed on the back nine. How many putts did she have that did everything but fall in? If she had more hair, she'd probably have torn it out after just two misses like that, and I think she had more like five. Still, it was a great week for her, and she should be proud.  I was a bit bummed that In Gee didn't rally a bit more; at the turn she was at 9 under, and a run remotely like Amy's might have made her a factor. Not to be, but at least she nabbed a top 20, which is better than nothing.  Glad Mirim managed a top ten, which is a good result given her health woes. Kudos to Inbee rallying to 15th and So Yeon nearly breaking the top 20. After her start this week, that's a great recovery.   Fighting! Galleries Nice galleries on Sunday, but where were they Thurs-Sat?...supposedly 20.000 on Sun and 28,000 Thurs - Sat......huh....only 58,000 for a metro population of near 26 million...yet Lancaster more than doubled this. Yes....a fallacy of the Korean's love for women's golf...everyone left before Lexi's trophy ceremony. Likely all the Koreans opted to play golf instead of watch golf as they knew Stacy was not in the field. I can't believe how many Koreans like Ms Pouty Face...I saw it at the CP CWO and shockingly I've seen Stacy's pic included in a Korean lady's Kakao avatar....huh Supposedly one is a 'fake' Korean unless you use Kakao, have a Samsung smartphone and like kimchi. |

Isn't it crazy how Shanshan and Inbee can finish and contend on a weekly basis. The LPGA should create a complimentary commercial of Inbee and Shanshan sitting down eating some Korean BBQ and dim sum with Rolex rank #1 and #6 food bibs......after they show the commercial of the LPGA pros working out. Lexi doesn't need great putting, but just good enough not to get in her way. She was very good at avoiding the blow-ups, and took advantage of her length. Yes, Sung Hyun had a few close ones miss, but then again so did Lydia. Great showing by both of them, though.
A real crime that we didn't get to see any of Amy's round. Hopefully they have some footage and can produce a highlight reel.

Physician, heal thyself! I stick by what I said. Thompson played fine, but got a major break that not only did Park miss about five short putts by less than an inch each, but Ya Ni and Lydia made some major putting snafus, too. I give her total credit for winning, but sometimes you get a win as much from what your opponents do as from what you do (see also 2013 Honda Thailand and Ariya Jutatnugarn, and I completely at the time and still do consider that Inbee's luckiest win).  |

I think you should also consider suspending BangkokBobby for 2 months cause he likes the Thai golfers and also does a JLPGA wrap up. I think I'm ok because I don't give The Canadian Entitled Princess much fanfare and who else is gonna root for some REAL Korean greats like The Rocket, Sky and Sharon. |

When Stacy lost to Shanshan and said that Shanshan was lucky...she was crucified on here. I was the first to blast her. What your saying here is just as bad. It just sounds like sour grapes. South Korean golfers, in spite of a small slump they are going through now, are having a wonderful year. They have 3 incredibles rookies this year in Hyo Joo, Sei Young and Ha Na, and from what I saw from this tournament, so many more on the horizon. I wish the American future looked half as bright. Why not give Lexi credit and move on? I have always respected you for keeping this sight going, for keeping us informed in areas where its hard to get info. Especially your great pics. I also respect your love for the game (not unlike mine, even if we root for different players). Don't turn into a Stacy......as the host of this board, I hope your better than that.I think Happy's hosting a Seahawk's party.....12th MAN baby.
