Great round by Jeong Eun Lee6 with a clean Score Card of seven birdies and an Eagle. She is getting closer to inside one hundred on CME Globe.
Really good Tournament be Jin Young Ko for second place finish. It seems like her lower body is a little more active, which may be why she is hitting errant drives.
So Mi Lee had a decent round with three birdies no bogeys. Surprising with a driving average of 258 yards and missed only one Fairway she had no birdies on par fives. She also moved closer to top sixty at sixty fourth CME.
Jin Hee Im minus four today didn't move too far behind on Rookie of The Year.

After all the ups and downs of the weekend, it's Jin Young "the new" Ko vs Haeran "the new" Ryu. We couldn't have asked for anything better... and even Six put on a strong finish in the final round. Six, the new Jeongeun Lee

Congratulations to Hae Ran Ryu for one of the hardest earned wins I have ever seen. So glad she won't have that title of 'first player in thirty years to lose after a six shot lead'. And I'm overjoyed to see the two best Sisters in a playoff, finally producing the kind of result I would expect them to have. I'll admit, it felt like this win should have been Jin Young Ko's. She had two holes to play after Ryu finished, had a great chance for a birdie on 18, and just was not able to convert. Then on the playoff hole, she again had a short approach and hit a terrible one that basically cost her the trophy. That's on top of all those awful drives she hit around the turn. This was without doubt the best she has played in a while, so for that reason I'm happy, but she still has some work to do to get back to her best. Nice to see So Mi Lee run up to a top 15, Hye Jin shoot a nice round, and Lee6 go ballistic with a 63. Something to build on whenever they are allowed to play again. Hwaiting!

Fun fact: Hae Ran's 78 is the highest third round score for a winner on the LPGA in FIFTY years.

Yealimi made a double on 18?! Yikes It doesn't matter; she only got 11.667 less CME points. Those 11 points would have moved up her to 65 vs 67 in CME. Every point will be vital for getting into the Tour Championship!

I'm sure you saw Hae Ran missed a much shorter putt on #18 during the regulation. It just felt like it would come down to someone making a clutch putt, and I thought that someone would be Jin Young, a player who has made more than her share of clutch putts to win tournaments.

I watched a little of this on Thursday and none of it on the weekend ... what was there to see? Almost all my favorites played lousy ....
... including Bianca, who was tied with The New Ko after two rounds, before stinking it up. đĻ¨
She has scored four Sunday 78s in 2024 đĒĻ ... and yet she could still win the Sony JLPGA Championship this week. đđđ
For you newcomers, check out my report from the 2022 Shoprite pro-am, which has the all-time greatest Bianca money shot. đ¤Ē

And to add to the general sense of joy that resulted from this weekend (other than Phil's personal favorites)
THE USC TROJANS of the BIG TEN CONFERENCE just defeated LSU from the SEC!
Don't know about you, but I'm almost always happy when the BIG TEN defeats the SEC... almost always...

Only disappointment was Minnesota's loss to North Carolina from the ACC... or we would have gone 18-0!
Thank you Trojans, Bruins, Huskies, and Ducks... we could not have done it without you!
