Lottie Woad is -3 after nine holes; she shot -3 for her front nine. She maybe able to break that monopoly! Yealimi needs a Christmas miracle to make the cut! Maybe the wind will slow down soon. Not a problem; she's tied with your "Real world #1" Lauren Coughlin!

Boy, I thought the US Women's Open was a disaster for the Sisters. Jin Young Ko is +10, four behind Yani Tseng. Almost all the Korean stars are either way over par or over the cut. Jiyai Shin is the only under par Korean, and though I love her, they aren't going to show her when they can show Hull, a player I literally can't stand the sight of. I made it ten minutes into the coverage and called it a day. I hate this result so much that I might just never watch the British Open again. It never goes well for my favorite players, the randomness of the weather makes it a crapshoot, you can hit the ball in the middle of the fairway seemingly perfectly when it suddenly rolls into a poorly placed pot bunker and you are totally screwed. I think from now on I will consider there to be three Majors and just ignore Evian and British. Oh, and Korda is going to easily win this.

They explained it ... Trevino's dopey looper pulled out a range finder a couple of times, but they are banned here.
********
The cut has stubbornly remained at +4 ... the strong wind will cause more bad golf, but that's a lot of players that need to stink it up.
Sakura-chan (+5) might need a voodoo doll and pins to make it.
**********
A successful LPGA major debut for Shuri Sakuma who delivered good news to her "master" Jumbo Ozaki ... and doesn't have to worry about "punishment" payments when she returns home.
**********
JTibs is probably the only visor-over-ski cap player.
*********
Any reviews on this outfit? Not an ideal sales day when you see mufflers and ear muffs.

Yealimi needs a Christmas miracle to make the cut! Maybe the wind will slow down soon. Not a problem; she's tied with your "Real world #1" Lauren Coughlin! LC, MeYou, Sags got boned with the worst possible draw based on the weather, all 3 may miss the cut though Sags is doing well today, LC was playing good too minus a triple on the card. No way they'd ever give Lyds + Nelly first tee time on a Thursday 😜. If you go back on the WRX archives I was hyping LC up since the end of last season so I'm not too surprised. My Auston Kim Solheim prediction not so much. Id still pick Yealim over AP#2 but Capt Lewis won't see it that way.

Yes, you've been hyping LC for a while; and she's lived up to your steep expectations! But, there're differences between playing well and "World's #1".

Grant and Ronni ... Grant was in good shape at +2 until she hit a horrendous approach against the wall at #17 ... reached the green in four, just blew her putt past the hole ... a double and now +4. BTW, some of you old-timers may remember that #17 was a par-5 when they first came here for the women ... a little embarrassing back then ... however, this par-4 is more like a par-4 & 1/2. Lucky for Grant, #18 isn't too tough.

But, there're differences between playing well and "World's #1". Yes it's been a strange season - not the influx of new time winners but streaks players go on where they look like the best in the world - going back from Patty winning in Saudi + Thailand, Hannah winning twice and Nelly with the best streak of all, since the US Open it's been LC, but Nelly has toned down her schedule - now she is back! Amy might be the best (LPGA) sister with her 2 big wins in the past 12 months - HaeRan most consistent. Grace Kim should also have 2 wins but she cannot close.

I haven't finished my rant about Charley Hull paired with the number one and number two Rolex player. Why wasn't Rolex ranked number three Jin Young Ko paired with them. I know Jin Young played bad and Hull played well, it's better to play with great players to feed off them. What I don't understand why two LPGA wins, no Majors, only three Let wins Hull is hyped like a great golfer. Just saying!!
On to other news, the Korean players aren't playing that bad. Ji Yai Shin, Jin Hee Im, Jinny Shin all tied for eleventh place at minus two. Mi Hyang Lee gave them four in the top twenty at minus one, also twelve out of fifteen made the cut. Not great but also not all that bad.
A shout out to my favorite JLPGA golfer Yui Kawamoto plus one tied for thirty place.

A massive twenty-three players just made the cut at +4 resulting in 82 players making it into the weekend. Included in that group is Ayaka Furue who calmly birdied 18 to get in. She probably won't get another top ten but she's there.
We gripe about the Korean players not getting air time but Caroline Inglis shot the round of the day, is American and they didn't say "boo" about her.

Auston and Grace Kim also birdied their respective last holes to play the weekend.
Re Charley she did finish runner up last year at The Open and id think want to put the good British players in featured groups (all 2 of them) If they had a major in India, Ashok would probably be with Nelly and Vu. They also put Gemma with Lexi and Minjee.

There were a lot of ties just above the cut line but 82 out of 144 is under 60 percent of the field making the cut. So I agree with you; that's my 'glass half full' comment for this tournament so far.

Until recent months, Lauren Coughlin was like that. Sarah Schmelzel is another, she's CME #25. How often do we see Sarah getting coverage, compared to, oh, say, Leona Maguire (CME #42) or Céline Boutier (CME #35). They're not even Americans! Granted, they have some wins so their names are known. But here's a golfer who has the same number of wins in the last four years as Sarah, and she's CME #36, but the broadcasts follow her every footstep sometimes, Lexi of course...
