Jeongeun Lee6 had another bad round, I hope it's just a fluke. She has been doing another swing change that look more like her old swing. Which I don't know why she made the change in the first place. Even thou she hadn't won again she contended a lot and got up to a twelve Rolex Ranking. I really hope that she can rebound.
Reminds me of So Yeon Ryu who had a really good career but could have been a lot better. Before she did that swing change in 2017, she had three wins and was always in top ten on the money list. Also top ten in greens in regulation and top fifteen or less in scoring average plus driving average. The reason that she didn't win earlier was because she would miss putts, or someone went crazy and past her.
She started out great after the swing change and stayed that way for three quarter of the year. She seemed like a lock to win Player of the Year and finish number one in Rolex Ranking. Then the hook shots jumped up and she got tied for Player of The Year and lost no.1 Rolex Ranking. She did win in twenty eighteen but for the most part could never got close to where she was before the change.
Hee Jeong Lim who has one of the best swings on the KLPGA. Now she is talking about changing her lower body movement. Hope it works
Have to mention A Lim Kim usual round six bogeys five birdies.

If you shoot worse than Yani Tseng, there is something seriously wrong with your game. Six has got somethings to figure out.
Maude-Aimee turned into Maude-Detester by trying her hardest to miss the cut. She followed up her stellar 64 with an execrable 79. She gets the privilege of sweeping the dew first thing tomorrow by her lonesome.

Jeongeun Lee6 was the golfer who rekindled my interest in LPGA and the sisters five years ago after Hank Haney's asinine comments mocking Korean golfers. She won the 2019 USWO and she hooked me. Then she gave that touching speech in November (?) to accept the Suggs ROY award. Since then she has shown occasional glimpses of real brilliance but mostly she has struggled. Not only worse than Yani Tseng this week, 6 strokes worse than Yani!
I have never figured out the reason for the pronunciation of Maude-Aimee's name. With her being from Canada and having an obviously French name, I began pronouncing her name "Mode-eh-MAY" which would have been legitimate French, I still remember enough of my high school French from 50 years ago. If it was pronounced in the English manner, then it would be "Maude-Amy." But apparently she splits the difference, on GC the announcers always seem to refer to her as "Mode-Amy." So who knows?!?!?
Not a great week for the sisters so far, but on the other hand, Jiwon and In Gee only have eight golfers to pass and they have two days to do it. Go sisters!

Shame about Six. Let’s hope it’s just rustiness. In Gee still in the hunt but some top golfers ahead of her. No ring rust for Rose Zhang

Round 2
When they struggled this week, they really struggled. Six... man, not the start to her season she wanted. So Mi followed up a stinker with another, slightly less stinky round. But not good. And Yu Jin also had a terrible week, meaning the two Korean rookies that were having good seasons both stunk it up.
On the other hand, Minji Kang shot a 65 (!!) and very nearly rescued herself from her abysmal start. And Jin Hee Im cruised to t-26th, and she's the rookie who HASN'T been playing well this year.
On the plus side, Jiyai and Hyo Joo both had tidy 68s to easily make the cut. Shin is now under par and tied for 33rd. Ji Won Jeon, another surprising name, also had a good day to climb into the top ten. In Gee is also t-9th, easily the best start she's had in a long time. Dare I dream she can keep it up for another day? Fingers crossed.
Hwaiting!

A really up and down round by Hyo Joo Kim eight birdies and four bogeys. She is in decent shape for the weekend keep the birdies going and lose the bogeys who knows. Hye Jin Choi hasn't been her best so far but still surprised that she missed the cut.

Looks like "Mode-Amy" was rescued from the cellar for Sunday's opening... by her countrywoman "GRU-wall." Brooke is singlehandedly keeping our northern neighbors afloat... as she has for years...

The way the course is playing I can see Jiyai having the 54 hole lead on her own. In Gee going backwards fast!

Round 3 Not surprising to see In Gee and Ji Won Jeon collapse in round 3. I can't figure In Gee sometimes. She just needed to put together an OK round and she'd still be in this, but she just couldn't hang on. Oh well, at least we are seeing some quality. Hoping she can keep it up, because I'd love to see her take a legit shot at the Chevron. Meanwhile, the day was absolutely stolen by Jiyai Shin. Thanks goodness at least one Korean is doing well at this event dedicated to Se Ri. She shot a scintillating 63 to grab a share of the lead at 9 under. If she can live up to her Final Round royal status, she could get her first LPGA win in a decade, and boy would that help her lock up the Olympic berth. Most of all, though, it's TIME for a Korean to get a win this year. Go Jiyai Go!!! The other player I'll be watching is Jin Hee Im. She has a real shot at a top ten, which would be a massive improvement over the way things have gone for her this year. Sisters hwaiting!!! https://www.instagram.com/p/C44E2kxvlYe Se Ri sending Big Energy to Jiyai!! What an amazing, captivating moment. Jiyai is besides herself, despite being a legend herself. https://www.instagram.com/p/C44LsCGve-l

Amazing statement by Cockerill and/or Pretzel, implying that Ronni is too green to know how to hit a safe punch-out from the woods ... they might be right, because she tried to be a hero at the 18th hole and effed it up. I guess she never heard that old maxim, "you can't win a tournament on Saturday, but you can lose it" ... you'd think her alleged veteran bag carrier would have known that.
********
Not quite ready to jump on the Malia band wagon yet ... even though she carried one of her drives 264 yards today ... I saw her in person as one of the losers in the twelve-for-two playoff during the medal qualifying at the 2021 USWA.
*********
Chairwoman Mao received a brief look on Saturday's broadcast ... look out, only three shots back at this "box of chocolates" golf course.

Great round by Ji Yai Shin to climb to the top of the Leaderboard. After she finished her round, I didn't think minus nine would be leading, with all the players still on the course.
Three ex USC Trojans Gabriela Ruffels, Malia Nam and Alison Corpuz in a top three tie. Enough to take care of that UCLA Bruin Alison Lee, ok just Rivalry kidding.
Actually, if Ji Yai Shin doesn't win, I hope that Alison can get the win. It would mean that she has fought all the way back from that recent slump. If not her Gabriela Ruffels
