Maybe some of the participants will honor Se Ri. Maybe they'll Google Se Ri's beat down of Annika at El Caballero in 2002. It's strange Se Ri is never mentioned at Wilshire. I thought golf fans would know better.

I thought golf fans would know better. Despite the promotion by golf communities, the reality is not too many fans care about Annika Sorenstam. The difference between Tiger and Annika is just like day and night.

What is Fir Hills? From the press release:
Fir Hills, a Silicon Valley based investment firm that is dedicated to enhancing the governance of leading corporations in the U.S. and South Korea
The CEO is named Charlie Shin ... THAT explains a lot.
Apparently, there aren't enough DIO Implant dental candidates at Palos Verdes or Wilshire. On the other hand, if AIG pulls out of the WBO ...

I hope Tree shows up. There's know telling how many majors Se Ri would have won without the rat-faced weasel on the bag.

By the way, Se Ri is now anglicizing her name as 'Seri'. Don't know why.

The Shinster is not listed in the field for this one on the LPGA website ... however, she asked Pak for an invite and the answer was yes. (article above)

By the way, Se Ri is now anglicizing her name as 'Seri'. Don't know why. I like it. Probably goes better with the anglicized way of saying it. Good enough for Inbee and Minjee (but not for Min Woo, interesting).

Gaby Then was the final sponsor invite.
Amazing ... The Old Ko LPGA Hall of Fame Induction tour is skipping The Pak Open ... you're doing a heckuva job, Tina ... heckuva job.
Along with The Shinster, the final sponsor invite is Hannah Darling (a) ... from Scotland ... lost four of five matches at the 2022 Curtis Cup ... has played a lot better since then at U. of S. Carolina ... I don't see an obvious connection to invite her, aside from her ability.
Looks like The EMP will finally start her season here.

By the way, Se Ri is now anglicizing her name as 'Seri'. Don't know why. Maybe the same reason Na Rin An changed the Anglicization of her name to Narin An? I still remember Google translating a Korean language article about the sisters, getting the usual Asian order of surnames first, Kim Se-Young, Ko Jin-Young, etc. But among all the recognizable names of the sisters was a mysterious, apparently totally American name, "Anna Lynn." It took me a while to figure out that it was the 'translation' of An Na Rin...

Very strange that top Korean players are skipping this event. Last year when it was the Named the Dio Implant L.A. Open it had the highest non major field rating of the year, and Sei Young Kim, Amy Yang, and Jin Young Ko, all teed it up. Now it carries Seri Pak's name and all three of the above players are skipping the event. Minjee and Lydia skipping this event also.
