Only two things come to mind early in the final round, early for the leaders anyway. "Never count out the Thai golfers!" "Who plugged in Atthaya Thitikul?!?"
Jiyai still in it... Jenny and Six in line for top ten maybe top five if they have good rounds.. but the top of the board is nothing but quality golfers, hard to believe every one of them will stumble.

A simple warning shot to all the non-believers.

Crowds seem to have been really good. I can see the Korean fans love to make a banner or two! I reckon Minjee will get her game face on in the back 9 and come out on top.

Yes, "I'm picking Lee!" has turned out to be great advice this week... it's going to be Alison or Minjee... and Six had a great final round to finish T5 along with Jiyai!

I was coming on here to post that Lee would win . Didn't expect Alison to go birdie, birdie on 17 and 18 after a bogey on 16.

And Minjee brings her game face again to a play-off. Birdie on first play off hole. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!!!

후루에 아야카 ... first time I've seen her name in Korean letters ... I think the locals say it "Hoo-roo-ay Ah-ya-ka", as opposed to "Eye-ya-kee Fur-oo" in Grand Rapids, MI.

A shout out to Jeongeun6 Lee and Final round Queen Jiyai Shin for top five ties. Jeongeun6 made birdie on sixteen and seventeen and Jiyai made birdie on four of last six holes.
Kudos to Jenny Shin with seven birdies and two bogeys for a top ten.
Sung Hyun Park minus ten on the weekend one of her best Tournaments. Hae Ran Ryu bounced back with a six under clean score card with birdies on last four holes.
The Sisters had a good final round to end up with eight in top twenty.

Forgot to mention So Yeon Ryu under par last two rounds. Even thou they were minus one it's better than over par. Her driving average is still around 224 yards. I wonder if she is even concerned about it, because it been the same for sometime.

Round 4 There was a point in the middle of the final round where there were no Koreans in the top ten. What a disaster that would have been. Fortunately, Jiyai and Six rallied and grabbed top fives. Amazingly, this is the first top ten for Six all year. AT LAST!!! Yeah, she never really had a chance at the win, which would have been amazing story (her dad is rarely at any event she plays for obvious reasons but he was here). But seeing her put together a great week like this is really encouraging. She is a fantastic golfer, and I hope we will see some amazing things from her going forward. https://www.instagram.com/p/CyssH80u0Z4 Shout out to Jenny for a third top ten and the fifteen year old Seo Jin Park for a t-13th. Keep an eye on that kid! She averaged 258 off the tee today, just a few yards behind Hae Ran at 262. The top three were also Sisters, albeit not repping Korea. Minjee deservedly beat Alison (congrats!), but great week for the up-and-down American anyways. It feels like 100 years since Lydia had a good week, so nice third place for her in defense of her title. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cysk6BCOZKM Look how many more managed top twenties! I'm particularly proud of Hae Ran, who recovered from a ghastly round 3 to notch a t-16th and beat her rookie rivals. Hyo Joo as usual had a decent week when not contending, and Hee Young Park with a top 20! She needs to get back out there as soon as she can travel with her kid. That makes three solid events in a row for her. I can't even remember the last time Namdalla had a top 20. There must have been a lot of work for the paramedics handling the fainting spells by the Attack Girls on Sunday, when Park shot a 66! https://www.instagram.com/p/Cyr9iqvvZPr On the downside, another 25 - 40th place finish for In Gee (this week 32nd), and Jin Young was just plain off base all week. I hope she has something in the tank for Malaysia. The fans still love In Gee anyways! (The banner says 'In Gee Chun is prettier than a flower') https://www.instagram.com/p/Cyr6ORlvzpi Sisters Hwaiting!

My aside about a Korean American winner almost came true. Banner result for the diaspora.
Shout out to late bloomer Lauren Coughlin. At 31 years of age, it's only her sixth year on tour. She made her second top ten here making her second overall this season. She had only one top ten in her first five seasons. Her year-to-date earnings are almost half of her career earnings and she's playing the next two Asian events so that total will only go up.

The gallery was sparse. People in Korea don't like golf. They like Terminator. When she starts winning again, it will be ten deep at a cow pasture like Seowon Hills.
