Except for The Shinster and four local amateurs, this is a 100% LPGA tournament. Some of you complain about the in-your-face KLPGA event running concurrently ... instead, you should be celebrating it. Where else in the world can you see two big-time women tours playing the same week and only 11 miles apart?

Agree with you on this. The article has almost nothing to do with this week's event. Although the article is factual, it might have served better if it was a seperate article on how more countries are finding their way in to the upper part of the world rankings.

My field rating for this week's evnt is a very solid 67%, up from 53% last year. My breakdown is 67% from the LPGA Priority List and also 67% from the Rolex Rankings. The field rating loses some points because this is not a full field event (just 78 players), and players on the bottom half of the rankings do not qualify. The field will be led by top ten players: Lilia Vu (still #1) Ruoning Yin Jin Young Ko Nelly Korda Celine Boutier Hyo-Joo Kim Minjee Lee Allisen Corpuz Top ten players skipping the event this week: Charley Hull Xiyu Lin Other top players skipping the event include: Lexi Thompson Leona Maguire
Other stuff: Angel Yin became the 12th first time winner on the LPGA tour this year. That is a new record! Angel Yin's victory was the 10th this year to be decided in a playoff. Yin's victory was the 9th this year by a player from the United States. South Korea is second with four. With the victory the United States is now guaranteed to finish on top this year for the fourth consecutive year. After a down decade (2010 to 2019), they have come back very strong (2020 to 2023).
Once again there was not alot of movement in the Rolex Rankings by LPGA players: Angel Yin made the most important move, leaping from No. 35 to No. 25. Other moves much further down the list: Olivia Cowan 89-84 Stephanie Meadow 103-96 Esther Henseleit 120-108 Yu Liu 153-131 Pavarisa Yoktuan 197-158
In the all important Race to the CME Globe, where you have to finish in the top 100 to have full playing privileges in 2024, the following players wrapped up their cards for next year: Pavarisa Yoktuan 98-73 Frieda Kinhult 89-82 Karis Davidson 97-88 Wichanee Meechai 95-89 The following players may still have some work to do, but have a much better chance than last week. Maddie Szeryk 103-99 Azahara Munoz 101-100 The following players dropped out of the top 100: Lydia Ko 96-101 (no worries for her though as her win last year makes her exempt for the 2024 season. Wei-Ling Hsu 100-103

Several of the players claim that their besties are CHEM. I'm gonna guess that this is an acronym for: Chella Hyo Joo Eun Hee Mi Hyang Given which four are mentioning CHEM friends this makes sense!

You are so far behind the times!!! I put CHEM videos in the Oct. pic folder last week. Just don't tell us that Yani bought Annika's old house ... we already know.

I stuck In Gee's replies into Google tranlate and the answer to who her bestie was revealing - "my future husband I don't know where he is". The answer is he's sitting behind a keyboard in the UK. Not sure that's what she had in mind but you never know!!!

The below is nuts! : That's crazy; she's the defending champ and should definitely be invited back no matter what her CME standing is. And ditto with the event this week, where she is also defending; she shouldn't need a sponsor's invite to get into the field. Sheesh.
