I certainly never meant to take a shot at JYK. I just thought she must be disappointed. The good news is she is so young she will have plenty of opportunities to win some majors. Plus, by the time she is at her peak, Whan will make sure there are 8 or 9 majors with a couple of them Korea.

3putt don't care what you think about the shot.
I meant everything that I said. When the word "choke" entered the conversation, I did not like it and still don't. I guess every time you missed a shot, you choked. End of conversation for me.

To Happy Fan and all the others, doom and gloom people who think Jin Young Ko failed on the back nine. She slightly missed hit a shot, that bounced into the hazard. If you have played any golf, you would know that it was a slight miss hit. Any other hole, it would have been an easy up and down. As luck will have it, it was that hole. She also hit second shot to par five fourteen on the green. It took a big bounce over the green. Because of her limited knowledge of putting from off the green. She could only make par. Instead of taking your hat off to the young golfer, for a great tournament. You people are taking shots at her. You should really be ashamed of yourself. Not sure why you think I was dissing Jin Young. I thought she had a marvelous tournament. My comments were merely that she seemed totally crushed by that missed shot. I've rarely seen someone who seemed to take so long to get herself composed after a miss. My heart went out to her. She was having a great time and was thoroughly charming in her interviews with the press. But sometimes reality hits you hard, and when you go toe to toe with one of the all time greats, you have to bring it or face the consequences. She'll learn, I'm sure! I agree, by the way: I have been thinking for years that she looked a lot like Grace Park; they could be sisters. I think it's the nose.

LMAO So in a few years Inbee will need to win 5 more majors to consider having achieved the career grand slam. Let's face it...the women's majors have never really felt like majors...they walk on thin ice as long as they depend on corporate sponsorships....they've never felt really special and the lack of attendance has demonstrated this. IMO....there should only be one women's major...the USWO....and only if it's played in Lancaster

Yes...if I see a hazard and aim away it and to hit into...I consider I choked a shot...a combo of typically bad course management and execution. I also think I've choked if I.......3 jack from 15-20 ft. I don't live in CandyLand when I play golf....if I stink it up...I've stunk it up...no way to candy coat a lousy round. In my books....... if I don't shoot 79 or better....I'm not full of joy.....unless it's on a course in excess of 6800 yards..... 72.5/135+.

I'm not saying every time I've seen JYK...which is rare...it's Grace's sister....but on some coverage...especially when JYK was at -12 and smiling....you could see Grace in JYK's face, mannerisms, personality and walk.

Inbee wins here on her 199th career tournament.
Juli Inkster has played 666.

mr3putt: What do you think? She was at the Volvik table for the 2015 Orlando Golf Show: mr3putt: Go ahead...Team Mi Hyang is a growing organization...consider this your trial to be Regional VP for the Pac Northwest area. Maybe you’d score more points if you could get down to Portland the week before…but, I don’t know if she’ll be there...the field isn’t posted yet. Speaking of trials, I assume she is hiring her caddies on a trial basis this year. She had an old guy with a floppy hat at the WBO...maybe the same guy she had at the Marathon. She had Ivan Galdame for the three events I attended and she had some other guy at the Honda, HSBC, and JTBC. Her play has not varied at all. Her next hire will be either me or a monkey at 69 cents/lb. for bananas. Bet on the monkey.

Phil Ya but if you saw The Pink Diva at the PGA merchandise show...you'd think she's was all peaches and cream....and you've seen her at events outside the ropes and know .....she's an Oscar winning performer.
I have full confidence I could loop for a LPGA pro....but not sure if I'd last 6 days lugging a 50+ lbs bag. But I'd only want to vol caddie for certain players and I don't believe you can pick and choose as a vol....especially if you're not a member of the club.
I put my name to vol caddie for an Cdn women's tour event in 2011.....they assigned me a pro but the gal decided at the last moment she could do it on her own.

That's pretty strong field for Portland...but the CP CWO is just up I5 the following week. In 2013...the field was kinda weak...Vern can attest to this.
BUT
In the past...Safeway and Columbia Edgewater put on an amazing event....logistics were FANTASTIC. Great, reasonable and many choices of hotels nearby the airport....great restaurants, great weather and best of all NO SALES TAX. I didn't care for Pumpkin Ridge and Hillsboro.
I won't be attending due to the CWO coming to Van City and plan and hope to attend the 2016 KPMG event at Sahalee....that will be AWESOME.....I hope our Canadian peso picks up....it's at an 11 yr low....ugh.

Instead of Pumpkin Ridge, the next Open may be at Chambers Bay. Maybe in 8 years. They want to get it right next time.
