As of now, the LET website shows the 132 entrants. Add to that figure 12 more players from Sunday's qualifier:

A few of the failures were Becky Morgan(75), Belen Mozo(75), Jin Yan(77), Cheyenne Woods(78), and Sarah Jane Smith(80).

Belen Mozo was tied with Chella for most tournaments played (19) this season. Ji Young Oh was listed to play the qualifier (LET listed her as American) but her name didn't appear on the leaderboard. Maybe she couldn't make her tee time?

I assume Belen might go to Spain to visit family?
I hope the weather is nasty to beat up the gals for an more exciting event...maybe a surprise winner like last year.
I'm glad it's on network TV so I can watch it in HD....my GC is not HD.....a legacy cable package.

Look....it's Jamie "hey look at me" Kuhn. Many players are missing their luggage/clubs from various airlines....including HYP via United.

ESPN has five burning questions for the Womens British OpenNice that one of the questions is 'Who will be the In Gee Chun this week?' He actually did his homework for a change and mentions Jin Young Ko. Not a bad choice; she has three wins this year. But she also has almost no experience playing abroad, and I suspect that will impact her this week. Whatever, it's just cool to see someone actually giving credit to the KLPGA for a change!!!!

Happy How do you find these articles? If I find info...it's usually from the other 4 golf forums I look at. Ya...I'm surprised to read about the Korean info in the above article. 1) MW is still broken and her bashed up body will ail in cold and windy weather 2) From a handicapping perspective....recent form generally doesn't translate to an near future win. 3) see above 4) Based on the unpredictable weather and maybe lucking out on a favorable draw....a surprise winner is not un-probable. 5) If we all create the reverse karma scenario as evident in past events....Lewis won't win.

As much as I'd love to experience a UK links experience...do I want to spend big bucks to travel and play in the cold, wind and rain. There was unexpected rain when I played last Saturday....it was not fun....and it wasn't windy nor over cold.....and I generally never play in the rain if I know it's forecasted.....the only time I play in the rain is because some playing partner twisted my 'rubber' arm.

ESPN tends to have good articles when the Majors come around, although most of them focus on the American golfers. As I say, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the KLPGA content here. Perhaps the complaining Anthony and I did in our recent blogs about the KLPGA being ignored got some response?

I also found the article by scanning the internet. To see if their were any mention about In Gee Major wins. One more thing. I have been an LPGA fan for a very long time. I also like most of the golfers.
However I joined this Forum because the Seoul Sisters are my number one golfers. So most of my focus and comments will be about Korean Lady golfers everywhere.

The Dumbo Slam It’s been nicknamed the “Dumbo Slam.” Others are simply calling it the “Global Slam.” Or to make it even simpler, it’s totally acceptable to just call it the “In Gee Slam.” Three months. Three tours. Three major championship titles. What 20-year-old In Gee Chun has done over the last two and half months is simply unheard of. She first won the season’s biggest major on the JLPGA – World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup – by four strokes in mid-May and then came over to the United States three weeks ago and won the U.S. Women’s Open in her first ever start in that event. Then, last week, on the KLPGA, she won one of that Tour’s majors – Hite Jinro Championship – by three shots. And those three wins – each major championships on their respective Tour – weren’t her only wins. She also has won three other tournaments on the KLPGA in 2015. So, for those keeping count at home, that’s six professional wins in the last three and half months, starting with her win April 19 at the KLPGA’s Samchully Together Open. “Since I won major tournaments in Japan and the US and Korea last week, all this happened within a span of two months,” Chun said through an interpreter. “In the last month, everybody has cheered for me and everybody was happy about it and everybody was excited to see that event, my achievement. Korea is crazy about me right now, and so now I’m here in Scotland, so everyone is looking forward to me playing here. Everybody will probably stay up all night watching this event, so I’m really looking forward to it as well.”

IGC is 33 to 1. For being the best player in the world right now, she isn't getting any respect from the bettors.
