Congratulation: To Inbee for a great win, to complete the Slam. To Jin Young Ko for a second place finish in her first LPGA Major. To So Yeon for her second straight top five in a Major. To Lydia and Suzann for top fives also. Kudos to KLPGA member Jung Min Lee for a minus four final round. Also the rest of the top ten, especially, short driving Mika. A little tidbit. Jin Young was the only player that shot under par all four rounds.
So Yeon carded twenty three birdies, also tops.

more pics and video on my blog : Inbee Park Completes Career Grand Slam With Win at 2015 Women’s British OpenI don’t care what the LPGA says. I love the tour and commissioner Michael Whan is doing a great job, but there was never a need to have a fifth Major. Rather than add prestige to the tour, it has simply added more need for explanations for who don’t follow the LPGA closely. So with all due respect to the Evian Championship, Inbee Park’s victory at the 2015 Ricoh Women’s British Open completes the career Grand Slam. Yes, the LPGA agrees, but there shouldn’t be a situation where verification is necessary. Grand Slam? Super Slam? Oy. It’s her 7th overall Major, matching Karrie Webb with the most Majors among active LPGA players. Queen Bee joins Webb, Annika Sorenstam, Juli Inkster, Pat Bradley, Mickey Wright and Louise Suggs as a career Grand Slam winner. I’ve held out for a long time, but maybe it’s time for me to acknowledge that the greatest Korean golfer ever is not Se Ri Pak. It’s Inbee Park. I doubt Inbee would ever say that out of respect. Still, consider that only Mickey Wright on the LPGA reached 7 Majors at a younger age (Tiger Woods did it on the PGA ). All I know for sure is that we are watching an all time legend at the peak of her skills and there appears to be no limits to what she can accomplish any time soon. Her 7-under 65 final round, 12-under overall, come from behind victory at Turnberry adds another level to her greatness. All hail The Queen! 1 INBEE PARK (-12)

Anyone who shoots 65 on Sunday deserves to win, so congrats to Inbee. I think JYK can bounce back but it will be difficult. The real story is that Jan once went out on a date with The Donald. I can only imagine if it had worked out and she was our next first lady. What does Jin Young Ko need to bounce back from. She played a brilliant tournament. A couple of bounces did not go her way and Inbee played lights out. She didn't lose the tournament, Inbee won it.
Greg Norman had tournaments taken away from him too. He never recovered. I didnt say she choked.

Her first time playing in the U.S. You are comparing her to Greg Norman, that had played those courses several times. I don't know if he choked, because I couldn't read his mind.
I will say this again, she has nothing to recover from. You really should go and watch the tournament again, to understand how great she played,.

Wow, what can you say about Inbee Park? I almost felt sorry for the rest of the field. After what happened to her last year, she was clearly on a mission, and she played one of the best back nines I've ever seen in a Major to simply overwhelm the field. Utterly brilliant. The moment where it seemed like Inbee really asserted herself was that eagle on 14. That was her 'game on' shot across the bow at Jin Young Ko, who had been having a merry ol' time up til then. Things went south for the young KLPGA star soon after that. My jaw dropped when the two commentators were talking as the ladies reached the back nine, and they seemed convinced that Suzann Pettersen was about to make the big move. As if they couldn't see Inbee sitting right there near the lead! Commentators always want to promote Pettersen as the best player because she fits the template of what they expect from a #1: long hitter, athletic. How can that squat, mid range hitter Inbee possibly beat such a player? But Inbee is proof that a strong head and fabulous short game trumps a long hitter with confidence issues any time. Give Lydia Ko credit. After that debacle in the bunker I thought she was done. She fought back with an eagle for third. And I loved watching So Yeon fight. She may not have ever had a chance to win, but she notched a top five playing with great class and a better smile (like she always does). Minjee had her moments but mostly got a front row seat to Inbee's brilliance, which may be the best learning experience she could have had. I have to admit, I have rarely felt as bad for a golfer as I did when Jin Young hit her approach on 16 into the water to end her chances. It seemed to take her forever to regain her composure after that. Kudos for her to make that great par save on 18 to preserve her solo second, but she must have been completely annihilated by that point. I hope her mentor Inbee will sit her down at next week's Samdasoo tournament (they are both sponsored by that water company) and give her a serious pep talk. She deserves all the credit in the world for nearly pulling off one of the most improbable wins of the year. I also want to tip the hat to Hyo Joo for another strong Major, and In Gee for managing a good finish despite what has been an exhausting month for her (PLEASE take next week off!). But the big congrats go to Inbee Park, winner of this year's Annika award! Seven Majors now, as many as Jiyai Shin and Se Ri Pak combined. She is the third youngest to ever earn that many, behind only Tiger Woods and Mickey Wright and ahead of Jack Nicklaus. Still looking for her first ESPY award, though... LOL. (Interestingly, I had a weird 'signal' from the golf gods Friday night. I was at a restaurant with a TV, and suddenly the screen started flashing with the word 'PARK' filling the screen. It was an ad for the US Park Service, which switched between showing shots of nature with that single world in bold type. But it almost seemed like the Golf Gods giving us a hint as to what was about to happen in Scotland. )

The real story is that Jan once went out on a date with The Donald. I can only imagine if it had worked out and she was our next first lady. You are so freaking funny. The early call (reverse karma) strategy, your 'fake' Korean comment and now changing your avatar to Jan....classic. I appreciate your wit.

Anyone who shoots 65 on Sunday deserves to win, so congrats to Inbee. I think JYK can bounce back but it will be difficult. I think JYK will be OK based on the fact that her expectations coming into the WBO weren't that high. If she had been on tour for years and had never won a major....different story. Let's face it.....JYK gave up 6 stroke to Queen Bee on the back 9....that's a lot of strokes and I can see your Shark analogy. But I don't think JYK choked...but Norman had many other chokes.

Did The Donald do a leverage buy-out of Scotland?....is this one of his campaign promises to make Merica a larger country. I thought Canada was next in line to be the 51st state?....lol.

Yes....many are fooled how often they think Tutta can close it out when she's in contention on Sunday....she's just not a great closer....SYR/Lewis also unfortunately have this distinction too....maybe more so than Tutta. Jason Hamilton is so scared of The Dragon Lady....therefore his employment. I'm surprised there wasn't more chatter...or at least what we saw on TV...that there seemed to be no/minimal discussion of taking an unplayable when Ko's shot was plugged in the face of the bunker with a riveted face to clear too. IMO....nothing good could have come out of the attempt. I'm surprised Ko got out on her 2nd attempt. How many times have we seen pros hacking away in the Road Hole bunker at St. Andrew's. If I was her loop...I would have suggested a drop. Seems like everyone is scared of The Dragon Lady...you'd think Lydia's IMG agent would have a little convo with Tina to dump the Lead Poisoning.....some people just don't get it. I even think Tina could take down Ronda Rousey in 45 seconds.

Congrats to Queen Bee...though I was rooting for JYK. Does anyone else see a little bit of Grace Park in JYK? ....or am I alone. Putting wins and Inbee demonstrates it well. I've said it before...I'll say it again....Inbee's ball striking is so good to accomplish what she gets out of a swing with no visible speed. So square & pure at impact and dead solid in the sweet spot. I like Inbee's passive arrogance when she questioned about something she doesn't like. Starting a family will be the key factor how many majors she'll win. Message to Ko & Lewis from Inbee: "I'm BOSS....come and get me"

To Happy Fan and all the others, doom and gloom people who think Jin Young Ko failed on the back nine. She slightly missed hit a shot, that bounced into the hazard. If you have played any golf, you would know that it was a slight miss hit. Any other hole, it would have been an easy up and down. As luck will have it, it was that hole. She also hit second shot to par five fourteen on the green. It took a big bounce over the green. Because of her limited knowledge of putting from off the green. She could only make par.
Instead of taking your hat off to the young golfer, for a great tournament. You people are taking shots at her. You should really be ashamed of yourself.

Gotta love all those empty seats at IBP's press conference. When the Hawaiian Invalid dropped out, I guess there was no point in staying for many in the media. The dinner conversation between IBP and her swing instructor husband must be quite limited..."So, how was your day at work...oh yeah, I forgot, never mind." Mi Hyang moved up two spot to #43 in Rolex rankings. I can't figure out how to easily map her rankings history on that website, so I don't know her high point. She was #40 after the ANA this year.

LMAO Between you and fanofseri....I really don't know who is more witty or sarcastic....Centurion will throw in a few daggers but he's still a distant 2nd fiddle to you two. Everyone left the media center after they asked Lizette Salas if she shared tacos and burritos with Trump at the restaurant in the Turnberry resort.....Salas then asked for Trump's cell #. Rolex only shows up to one year's history...a year ago MHL was 76th with 1.44 points. Phil....I suspect MHL is not overly extroverted or bubbly outside the ropes...am I correct? So at the upcoming CP CWO.....if I went up to MHL and said...."Phil from Jersey says hi and told me to watch you play"....would she give me the....WTF look?

You're reading into something that's not there. If you read my a previous post of mine.....it said I was rooting for JYK over Inbee. I don't speak for fanofseri or HappyFan...but IMO....there is no way they were taking shots at JYK....I think both would have liked and enjoyed seeing a JYK win as I would have too. I watched my recording again. The shot on 16 by JYK was short and to the right.....the only place not to hit it on the approach. IMO....it was a fat and fanned shot...a miss hit....not a slight miss hit .........considering she was likely aiming 12 feet left of the pin...especially with Brighton on her bag giving her advice. As fanofseri and Happy stated.....you could see how disappointed she was after the shot and TV showed how long she lingered in disappointment after the shot. I'm not a pro nor a scratch golfer...but if there is trouble to the right of the green and I'm 146 yards out, as was JYK, and I dunked a shot into that hazard...in my books...I hit a really poor shot.....and if there were no ladies in my group......I also likely would have sworn doing so....and I would have been mad. To answer your question. Yes, I play golf.....I continue to play...most recently as Saturday......for 47 years starting at age 7 following my Dad to the range and have played to a 4-8 handicap over the last 33 years with an average of in excess of 50+ rds/year in the last 23 years. I didn't see anyone taking shots at JYK. It's a golf forum here and along with other golf forums....a medium for discussion ......and they all can't be full of Hello Kitty's, unicorns and lollipops all the time.
