We get about 2 weeks good weather a year, and that passed by a month ago, we depend on the gulf stream the more north it comes the better weather we get, The last 3 or 4 groups going out got the best weather yesterday, the early starters will get the best of the weather to-day.

The Korean kids could win this, Pettersen has not got the fight these kids have, There is a sting in the tail in this one to-morrow afternoon maybe worst than yesterday.

I predict a gal of Asian descent will win....duh...lots of people predict a Tutta win....but I'm not feeling it. If they play in brutal conditions tomorrow it obviously brings more players into the mix of an already stacked leader board.....and poor weather will make luck more prevalent.
If Jin Young Ko wins....then expect Jan Stephenson and Carolyn Bivens to hold a press conference why the Koreans are killing the tour...lol.

Anyway I hope Jin Young can win so the announcers will finally know something about her. So Yeon, So Yeon! Just when I think that she will make a run, she three putts. I was upset when they did not show her putt for birdie on sixteen. She was on the same line as Suzann, with a much shorter putt. However Suzann two putted and she three putted. She got it back with a birdie on next hole, only to three putt eighteen.
I still think that she will win many tournaments.

Just read Jin Young interview. The interviewer ask her if winning a major will be a life changing experience. I like her answer that her life will stay the same, if she won.

Sorry guys. Gotta break with you and root for Teresa Lu. I just love her story. I feel like this would be the perfect stamp on her interesting career. Not to say I'd be upset if Ko won, but it's Lu for me.
Though Mika, Inbee, Lydia, Reid, Ryu...a lot of players I'd love to see win are in contention.

Round 3 notes I have to admit, I didn't see this coming for Jin Young Ko. I could see from watching the KLPGA that she is an exceptional talent, but I can't think of a player who managed to do so well at a Major when she not only hadn't played any before, but had never even played an LPGA event outside of Korea before. People act like Hyo Joo came out of nowhere when she won the Evian, but she had already put up multiple top tens in LPGA events before then (including at the Evian before it became a Major). In Gee only had a few tournaments under her belt, but even she had played a few and contended once before. Of course, the big test is tomorrow. The leaders got a HUGE break today when the weather pretty much cleared up just as they hit the back nine. It looks like the morning people had it much worse today. But if the conditions are rough tomorrow, who knows what could happen. Can Jin Young handle the pressure and the bad weather and face down several of the top golfers in the world? Best of luck to her!! (I wonder if the KLPGA brass is rooting for her or secretly hoping they don't lose another star?). I was really suffering a roller coaster ride with ol' So Yeon. She had a number of crummy holes, but then would bounce back like she did on that one par 3 she nearly jarred and the great run of birdies she went on as she finished. She is still in this, and I hope the conditions get hard, because that allows her to focus and not get sidetracked with nerves. She's the player I'd most like to see win this. Go So Yeon! Inbee is in a perfect position. She just has to make her putts. She won't have the nerves of holding the lead going into the final day, but is close enough to the final group to be able to put some pressure on them. Go Inbee! Nice 71 by In Gee to vault to 28th; hoping for a top 20 or even top ten from her tomorrow. Hyo Joo is just a bit too far back, but a top ten is definitely doable. And good luck to Minjee as well. Sisters Hwaiting!!!!

Good article about Jin Young Ko! Against All Odds, Jin Young Ko Finds Herself Tied for the LeadFavorite bit: Her caddie: ... the 1-under 71 played in the cold wind and rain late on Friday was proof that something a little bit special was happening. Coming off the green in near dark, Brighton was in awe of Ko's efforts and also a little excited despite being soaked to the skin. "I've been caddying at Turnberry for 15 years, so I've walked this course thousands of times,'' he said. "I started playing here as a junior member, and that was as good a round as I have ever seen."

Found this interesting blurb on ESPN's site:
It's going to be tough to make the South Korean women's Olympic team.
World No. 1 Inbee Park addressed this topic before the Women's British Open began, noting her displeasure with the Olympic qualifying system that will limit a country to a maximum of four players based on the Rolex Rankings to comprise the 60-player field for the medal-play competition.
No nation is as formidable in women's golf as South Korea. Although Women's British Open co-leader Jin-Young Ko is playing her first major, she is a multiple winner in her homeland and ranked 28th in the world, one of 15 Koreans among the world's top 30.
There won't be a country that will be more interested in how its female golfers do in Rio than South Korea, whose passion for women's golf is unmatched. Becoming part of that much-watched team is going to be difficult. Right now, Park, Hyo-Joo Kim, So Yeon Ryu and In Gee Chun would represent the country off their current spots in the world ranking.
Park's frustration is understandable, but she should be consoled by the fact that regardless of the makeup, it will be a formidable team.

Ko won in Vancouver, Edmonton and San Fran with members on her bag, I believe Korda won the Oz Open with a local loop, Crenshaw won the Masters twice with Carl Jackson, etc, etc. Brighton might be Jin Young's secret weapon for the win. If Jin Young wins and becomes a LPGA member...we can't have two Ko's on tour.....lol...we will have to call Lydia by her WRX nickname that I created...The Librarian....she needs to get those trademark glasses back. Danielle Kang wore her glasses to the course one day...a fan came up to her thinking she was Lydia and asked for an autograph...she played along and pretended she was The Librarian....lol...the fan had no idea. Talk about loops...Mark Wallington is on Mel Reid's bag...he's looped for her previously, I believe Salas, Kang too and Charley Hull at the SC. He was offered an attractive package by BJ to loop for MW at the beginning of 2013 but declined to take care of some personal affairs down under. I hope Mel makes it to the LPGA one day. I think there are others who are employing local loops at Turnberry....Gerina has a male loop...Audrey is normally her regular caddie.

Happy As I've said many times before...you are the funniest guy on this site. Hmmmm....you post a picture of a 'fake' Korean who was NOT even born in S. Korea....yet another 'fake' Korean who was born in Seoul, is world #2 and also sits at -5 along with the Sista above.........is somehow overlooked?....LMAO. Do you have an negative bias for Lydia because of the evil ways of The Dragon Lady? OR Did Lydia decline to sign autograph for you at the 2012 CN CWO? Why the grudge? Lydia is a great golfer and a very nice young lady.....she doesn't act like some of the Yank diva's....she's not a Prima dona...what gives?

Anyone who shoots 65 on Sunday deserves to win, so congrats to Inbee. I think JYK can bounce back but it will be difficult.
The real story is that Jan once went out on a date with The Donald. I can only imagine if it had worked out and she was our next first lady.

A couple of bounces did not go her way and Inbee played lights out. She didn't lose the tournament, Inbee won it.

Congratulation: To Inbee for a great win, to complete the Slam. To Jin Young Ko for a second place finish in her first LPGA Major. To So Yeon for her second straight top five in a Major. To Lydia and Suzann for top fives also. Kudos to KLPGA member Jung Min Lee for a minus four final round. Also the rest of the top ten, especially, short driving Mika.
