The tee times are set for Monday's qualifier (above) at Hankley Common GC, about 30 miles SW of London ... a minimum of three players will be selected.

Live scoreboard (above) for the qualifier, although it appears to be updated after every three holes ... says 12 spots up for grabs.

I'm guessing the qualifier is going into Tuesday to narrow down 13 players at -2 (including MHL, Li, Szeryk, Meechai and Carta) into the last 5 positions.

From the AIG WO website:
Play Off suspended due to darkness. Savannah De Bock and Maddie Szeryk are competing for the last place and 1st reserve. Play resume 07:45. Mi Hyang Lee, Hayley Davis, Ingrid Lindblad & Kelsey Bennett qualifying via a play off. Wichanee Meechai (Reserve 2), Lottie Woad (Reserve 3), Emma Allen (Reserve 4)
The wording above is a tad clumsy, but leaves no doubt that the cream rose to the top. 🥳

My field rating for this event is a super 84.5%, up from 83% last year. My Breakdown is 84% from the LPGA Priority List and 85% from the Rolex Rankings. It is very unusual that the Rolex Ranking is higher, but this week there are many highly rated non LPGA members in the field. They include: Akie Iwai #52, Ana Pelaez Trevino #91 Chiara Noja #100 Chisato Iwai #49 Haruka Kawasaki #75 Jiyai Shin #25 Kokona Sakurai #56 Mao Saigo #62 Miyu Yamashita#23 Yuri Yushida #59. Every player in the top 25 of this week's Rolex Rankings will be teeing it up.
Players that will not be in attendance this week (for various reasons) include: Lizette Salas Jessica Korda Chella Choi Wichanee Meechai Brittany Altomare Yealimi Noh Inbee Park So Yeon Ryu
Other Stuff: With her win this past week, Celine Boutier becomes the first three time winner on the LPGA tour this year. France now moves into second place with 3 wins this year. Only the USA has more with five. No other country has more than 2 victories. Hyo Jo Kim's top ten finish was her 7th of the year tying Nelly Korda and Ayaka Furue for second place. Only Atthaya Thitikul with eight has more. Hyo Joo Kim also has eight consecutive top twenty finishes. Celine Boutier became the first player to win a major championship and win again the following week since Ariya Jutanugarn in 2016.
There was some movement in the Rolex Rankings this week from LPGA players worth reporting: I failed to mention last week that Nelly Korda became the number one player in the world. She maintains that spot again this week. Celine Boutier jumps up one spot and is now No. 3. Hyo Joo Kim rises from 11 to 7. Maja Stark leaps up from 41 to 36 Patty Tavakanikit vaults up from 86 to 76. Outside the top 100: Caroline Hedwall surges from 145 to 113 Sarah Kemp hurdles from 140 to 122
In the very important Race to the CME Globe, where you have to finish in the top 100 to maintain full time playing privileges for 2024: Arpichaya Yubal moves into the top 100 with a move from 115 to 93. Natthakritta Vongtaveelap falls out 100 to 102. Other players that haven't wrapped up a spot in the top 100 yet, but greatly improved their chances: Andrea Lee 91-76 Yuna Nishimura 92 - 85 Mi Hyang Lee 90 - 86

The groups are posted ... a repeat of KPMG as MHL gets Bailey Two again ... the third in this group is Patricia Schmidt, who I never heard of before. She picked up her first LET win earlier this year at the Belgium Ladies Open and is 3rd on that tour in driving distance (288) ... and 97th in scoring average (74.17) ... in other words, nothing to see here. Tardy and Schmidt have Mizuno logos on their attire ... MHL has been using Mizuno irons since at least 2017, but Mizzy has amnesia about her.
Others -
JLPGA super newbie Kokona Sakurai gets Six and Moriya.
Cheyenne Knight might think she'll get beat up when Big Ryu and Chisato Iwai show up on the first tee.
Penguin Princess gets Baba-chan and Ewing.
Ronni with Shibuno Fever and AL Kim.
Charlotte Heath(a) got stuck with two players (C. Matthew and Liz Young) who are old enough to be her mother ... maybe she should have played the USWA instead.

Bottom line: Don't expect too much from Jin Young this week.
I wish my orthopedist asked such detailed questions as those Brit reporters.

Well, trying to be super motivated didn't work for Jin Young, maybe trying to be casual might? I'm sure her attitude is the same as always: she wants to win badly. But it feels like she is not in form these days and the injuries have been an issue.
Still, it's Jin Young. If anyone could surprise us with brilliance, it's her. This is the woman who won an event without being able to hit any practice shots all week due to injury.

The LPGA has the course yardage book (yards or meters) on the Media-Press section of its website ... never saw that before. I have no interest ... they make my eyes glaze over.
*******
The white line yardage is 6881 ... Thursday's yardage hasn't been posted yet ... 30 players are done for the day and the best score is 70 ... women golfers are lousy.
*******
Laura Davies is +9 thru six holes ... still has a good chance to beat Billy Casper's 106 at the Masters from a few years ago.
********
Kokona Sakurai was hanging out with the Kool Kids this week ... it must have done some good, she's -1 thru 14 holes ... the LPGA might want to add her portrait pic to the online scoreboard later.
***********
This might be another "majorized" bag issued by TaylorMade this week.

Decent first round by Jin Young, +1 and at least at the moment still close to the leaders. Her biggest issue this year has been stumbling right out of the gate. This course doesn't really set up for her, but she stayed out of trouble for the most part and averaged 258 off the tee.
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to In Gee Chun today! 29 years young. Would be a great day to come up with a sterling round. Go Dumbo!!!
Sisters hwaiting!
