I know the South Korean team underperformed this week. I'm here to celebrate but I understand the atmosphere is a bit gloomy in this thread. I am, in no way, flaunting the Thai win at the expense of the Korean team. I actually felt terrible the day Thailand faced Korea. I wouldn't be the LPGA fan I've been over the years were it not for the OG Seoul Sisters (Se Ri, Grace, Hee Won and Kimmie). But I had to root for my Thai peeps! If Thailand were not in this competition, I would have 100% been behind Team Korea...even over my American countrywomen. I just feel that even now, 25 years after Se Ri broke onto the scene in a MAJOR way, the Korean players are not given their due and fair exposure. HF has rightly and correctly pointed that out many times. I feel like even though going in you could argue the Thai team was the 4th best team...based on rankings maybe...there was a wildcard in their line-up...in addition to having a top 5 player in Jeeno...they also had a POSSIBLE secret (but also right in plain sight) second top 5 player. Playing with her sister all week and for her country, May played like it was 2018 again. If we had a time machine...time stone, TARDIS, DeLorean DMC-12, take your pick...and could see that 2018 Ariya Jutanugarn was going to show up this week...along with top 5 Thitikul...we might have framed our predictions differently. On a course that suits her game, with her sister beside her and countrywomen cheering her on...it was a perfect storm for a 4-day May comeback. Thailand won this competition and I'm beyond thrilled. But make no mistake, I am under no illusion that we are the best women's golf country. It's just a competition that could only take 4 players. And two of our top 4 players have #1 ranking ability, even if one of them hasn't shown it for some time. But we don't yet have the depth of Korea or the United States. Probably not Japan either. However, there are a lot of young Thai players coming up. Maybe that will change one day. Until then, I take this victory for what it is. A wonderful win for May, Mo, Jeeno and Meow. They made me proud to be half-Thai this weekend!!!

We aren't the only ones who thought the coverage was poor. HOFer speaks out: link

It was really the brazen, I’m going to play in NJ next week that did it for me. Keep that under your hat at least! Exactly that. If she had simply showed up next week without comment, all healed, I would have given her the stink eye but probably let it go beyond that. But what she actually said basically implied that she considered the Cognizant more important than this week's event. You. Don't. Do. That! I think insulting the sponsor like that must fall under some previously existing behavior clause and so she could be fined or reprimanded for it (of course that won't happen). They can't think of everything stupid thing the ladies might do before they do them so they can write a clause forbidding it! P.S. I had forgotten about that stunt Hull played in 2016 (I think), where she skipped the team match and forced one of her teammates to play alone. Man, what is it with her?

Nice to see at the 11:16 mark of the interview they ask May and Mo about Se Ri Pak.

To Atthaya Thitikul if someone wants to tweak your swing or change your pleasant attitude. Run the other way as fast as possible and don't look back.

To Atthaya Thitikul if someone wants to tweak your swing or change your pleasant attitude. Run the other way as fast as possible and don't look back. Atthaya seems like one sweet player. After Kyriacou missed a shortish putt, she sunk hers and quickly sprinted up to hug and encourage her. I think I saw Kyriacou’s caddy say, ‘Don’t be sorry,’ in the post match handshakes. I remember her and A Lim Kim being very chatty during the Chevron. If anything her lack of super killer instinct (a trait I see in many Asian athletes especially) is holding her back a tad.

Yes, it was very obvious on the video of the broadcast that Atthaya was making an intentional effort to console Kyriacou, although I recall that the announcers did not say anything. This is one of the reasons that I enjoy watching the LPGA golfers. They seem like genuinely nice people. Could you imagine such an action happening on the PGA tour? And don't even mention the LIV circus!

LOL, I'll be honest, I had literally forgotten there was still one more day of this event. Once the Sisters were out it went completely out of my thoughts. Anyways, congrats to Thailand, they certainly deserved it.
I don't know what they're saying, but it looks like In Gee and Hye Jin really bonded this week.
The Round 3 action you didn't see:
