Looking at the website ... only $30 for a weekly (Wed. thru Sun.) grounds pass and another $30 for a weekly off-site parking pass ... that is way better than the Cognizant Founders Cup rip-off. They have two courses there, Jack Nicklaus (2001) and Tom Fazio (2005) ... they'll use Fat Jack's and set it at 6,824 yards ... yeah, right.
They used the CME points at Lotte/Hawaii to determine the final 132 field. MHL's T-31 finish was a small improvement over her T-38 finish at DIO/LA ... her reward was dropping from the 110 position to the 117 position ... at least she'll still play ... followed by being 29th alternate at Wilshire next week.
*******
BIG CORRECTION! It seemed too good to be true, so I clicked on the box that says "All Week From $30" ... wow, they totally mislead or lied to me ... the choice for a weekly grounds ticket says $150! Well, the parking is still a good deal.

The Tour is dead. Maybe the Chevron/Houston Open is the shot in the arm that can revive everything. I lost all respect for Burt Reynolds when he dumped Dinah.

Anyways, what I really want to know is, are they going to actually have any rough at this course? Are they going to at least try to make it about more than who hits the longest drives? If so, that might actually be an improvement. I'm skeptical, shall we say.

The par-5 18th fairway and green is on the right ... please tell me that they did NOT carve out a phony diving pond.
What will they be doing in here?
Charlotte Thomas' bag made it.

My field rating for this major championship is a super high 85%, up from 82.5% last year. My breakdown is 92% from the LPGA Priority List and 78% from the Rolex Rankings. The entire top 20 from this week's Rolex Rankings will be teeing it up. Everyone is here except: Inbee Park (maturnity) Anna Nordqvist Linn Grant
Georgia Hall's top ten finish this past weekend was her fourth of the year, tying Nelly Korda for the lead in that category. The first six tournaments of the year have produced six different winners from six different countries. Those countries are: USA, Korea, China, Australia, France, and Canada.
Last year we had a record eleven first time winners on the LPGA tour. We now have three first time winners already this year in just six events.
This year's Rookie of the Year award could be a very interesting race, with no clear cut favorite. The top six so far this year: 1- Grace Kim - 155 points 2- Vongtaveelap Natthakratta - 142 3- Hae Ran Ryu - 98 4- Celine Borge - 76 5- Minami Katsu - 64 6- Lucy Li - 61
There was not much movement for LPGA players in the upper half of the Rolex Rankings this week. But there was some big moves further down the list: Vongtaveelap Natthakritta jumped from 86-77. Grace Kim enters the top 100 as she vaulted from 178-80. Knocking So Yeon Ryu out of the top 100 for the first time in years. She will no longer be part of my field rating. Yu Liu catapults from 185-129, while Peiyun Chien surges from 218-189

Not a lot excitement for me among these threesome. An exception (yes, I'm biased) is MHL with Steph Meadow and Chairwoman Mao. I found Meadow to be physically impressive during her practice round at the 2017 USWO ... as for Mao, I don't know what to expect ... she's not the same player compared to 12 months ago, but she's not a stiff, either. MHL will get more TV time than usual, but not in the U.S. ... TV WOWOW has dedicated cameras for Japanese players.
* If Galitsky fulfills the hype, she might send Dr. Noh and The EMP into early retirement. * Gimmee and The Tigress ... not bad. * Doherty and Campos ... curious ... have only watched Doherty on the UMCC range and have never seen Campos. * The Ice Cream Princess and Fassi ... nobody will care about am Jess Baker. * Penguin Princess and The Yangster ... throw in Buhai and these guys could fly under the radar during the first two rounds.

P.U.
My first thought was the bell tower ...

Wednesday practice -
MHL and The Old Ko
Don't know his name ... caddie list hasn't been posted yet.
Can't remember if JTibs changed her irons in the last couple of years ... that doesn't look like Titleist anymore.

No caddie list yet ... no 1st round yardages yet.

Now, THIS is a sight I'd like to see at Shoprite/Acer ... they already get a van on pro-am day for Tito's Hand-made Vodka, which doesn't interest me too much.

Dinah was Jewish, smoked pot, dated Black guys & probably drank Bud Light. Tell the truth if you continue to honor her.

They moved the tees up ... a little ... it's 6,706 yards for this bloodbath.
*************
There's a blank space next to MHL's name on the looper list ... he's the getting the minimum this week.

In a post-round chat with Amy Rogers, Galitsky (-2) said, "I know I have the game to be here."
... and her two playing partners DON'T.
