First time the 65 plus ties cut line affected some players. So sorry Lexi.

if i remember right some players actually got sick jumping into poppy's pond at mission hill before they turned it into a swimming pool... When Katharine Hepburn was in Venice shooting the movie Summertime in 1955, she was asked in one scene to fall backwards into a canal. The water was so filthy that she caught a rare form of conjunctivitis (an eye infection) that plagued her for the rest of her life (she lived until after 2000). Anyways, think twice before jumping into filthy water is what I'm saying!

WOW!! In Gee Chun just made a hole in one on the 17th hole. Not only is that awesome in itself, but Chevron has a policy where they will give a MILLION dollars to charity in the name of the first player this week who makes an ace. That would be In Gee. link

Say what you want about In Gee Chun golf Career but she keeps doing spectacular things. I like it that she stuck with her original golf swing through the good and bad times. She won't be anywhere near the LPGA HOF, but she is a HOF person in my book.

The million dollar contribution may be in In Gee's name but I have a feeling Chevron is taking the charitable tax deduction. If she aced the 12th, In Gee would have won a Bentley.

This really doesn't look like a Major, with top players missing the cut and who's who leading. Nothing against those players it would be a life changer if they win. It's not like the course is playing easy it just seems like something is missing. Maybe the LPGA doesn't have many great players, just a bunch of really good players and par five Queens. It's another one of the Tournaments with no clear favorites who could win. Just the opinion of a person who has been an LPGA fan for a very long time.

Knowing In Gee, she would have preferred the million for charity. She didn't win the Velocity Global Impact Award for nothing.

Round 3 This has been a genuinely exciting weekend so far, with a lot of good players and a few great ones sniffing a Major trophy. I agree that this doesn't feel like a Major-caliber setup, and as a result we are getting an enhanced version of the leaderboard we usually get most weeks. But at least it isn't the pathetic birdiefest that Evian usually is (the Evian organizers actually said: 'we hope someone will go five under the final four holes'). The single most unexpected and exciting thing has been Amy Yang charging up the leaderboard. How long has it been since she's had a chance to win? And she has a great chance tomorrow, with a bunch of other players who have never won a Major surrounding her. Who knows if she'll ever get another chance like this, so I hope she can finally break through with her first ever Major win and first LPGA win (amazingly) in the States. I'm a tad worried she shot her load today, but fingers crossed. In Gee earns a million for charity with an ace, rips off three more birdies, and finishes at 3 under. Man, perhaps just a tiny bit too far back to contend. Had she gotten to five under, I'd say game on. Still, she has really surprised me this week again and again. Does she have one more trick up her sleeve? Go Dumbo! Jin Young just hasn't had the goods this week. Not terrible, but her putter isn't getting it done. She's also seven back, but I could actually see her stealing this one (not likely, but it is Jin Young). A Lim started terribly but hung in there and is just two back. Would LOVE to see her grab a second Major here. But if Amy doesn't take it, and In Gee or Jin Young don't improbably get close, I'm definitely rooting for Hye Jin. It would be nice to see her finally get the spotlight, and how great would it be to see an International Crown team member win a Major just before the event? Kudos also to Hyo Joo and Eun Hee. I don't think a Korean has ever won a Major in her thirties, so Eun Hee could make history (actually, so could Amy!). Hyo Joo as usual is a silent stalker, but if her putter catches fire, watch out. Go Sisters!!!!! Hwaiting!

If Amy Yang falls a stroke back early, they may stop showing her. They did not show A Lim make three late birdies but as soon as she made a bogey, they showed it. Doing that time, they showed golfers that wasn't anywhere near the lead.

Amy Yang has not had good fortune when playing in the final group. Maybe being in the penultimate pairing she can pull this off.
