I will be there Thursday & Friday. Maybe Saturday. This is the last chance for mullets to get it on. Only a moron would miss this tournament.

I've been under the impression that the tattooed bruisers abandoned this tournament ten-plus years ago. They're not even having "The Dinah" pool parties at the same time ... "The largest queer women/Lesbian/non-binary event in the world!" (per the website) is scheduled for Sept. 22-25.

The Hampton Inn has Thursday & Friday rooms available. Ideal location. Newer place. $571 out the door.

The lesbians made this tournament a major. But they never rooted for Se Ri.

Can't a winner dive into Poppie's Pond? It's a god damn swimming pool. I could dive in when I was 4 years old. Please, no caddies, no parents, no translators and no agents.

Yes, no sympathy for anyone who gets injured jumping in! and I seem to recall seeing plenty of those stereotypical fans when I attended in 2019. Lots of them drinking in that area behind the first tee, just down the slope from the grandstand opposite Poppy's Pond.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CbLu82rMeh3 Grace Park and I guess Michelle Wei was low Amateur. I got tickets and probably wont be able to go. Really bad because it's the last one. I wont be able to tell Hee Jeong Lim that she is my favorite KLPGA Golfer. I told Jin Young that she was my favorite KLPGA Golfer when she first came over. I jinxed her and she missed the cut.

Are you doing the Dual weekly grounds pass ticket to Wilshire & Palos Verdes? Only $70, plus $10.76 for fees and taxes ... that's still better than one week at the USWO. But, will they nail you on parking?
I have to start mapping out my 2022 schedule NOW. The June 10-12 weekend is tricky as Shoprite/Acer and the Curtis Cup will run concurrently ... looks like I'll be driving in a big triangle pattern from and to home to hit parts of both events.
Oh, and the latest news has The Scimitar Golf League playing at Camp Orangina on July 29-31. The "tour" website has absolutely nothing beyond calendar dates. Fascinating how they'll have a shotgun start for a field of only 48 ... it's like they want all the players off the golf course in 4-5 hours so the membership can use it for the rest of the day. I assume they'll be using the newer course, which was originally scheduled for the 2022 PGA Championship ... I've seen only the older course.

The reason that I lucked out and got to talk to Jin Young Ko, there was a two hour rain delay. Actually I didn't talk directly to her Dean and her Manager were interpreters because she didn't speak English. She was on the short game area practicing, so I lucked out. Dean Herden thought she missed the cut because she practiced too long. So after Jin Young missed the cut we followed In Gee Chun. He asked how I knew so much about her, I told him about the Forum. That we watched the KLPGA and JLPGA on the SBS Golf Channel when possible.

I really had some great memories about that Tournament and a few bad ones. The worst memory I had when Se Ri Pak let Morgan Pressel steal the Tournament from her. Morgan was in the Club House waiting. She hit her drive to the right on hole sixteen behind the tree from hell. She and Suzann Pettersen both were leading by one or two shots. Suzann also was blocked out by that tree. I don't remember how it played out in the end, but neither made par on sixteen. I think one of them made a bogey on the par three seventeen.

At Wilshire you can park on the street, 200 yards from the entrance. PV will likely have a remote lot with a minimal charge. Chevron parking is remote but cheap. The weather in Rancho Mirage is supposed to be ideal. This is the 12th and final year the Ford Fusion will venture to the Coachella Valley. On the trip back, the San Gorgonio Pass kills lots of older cars when it is really hot. If that happens I will leave the car on the side of the highway and let CHPs deal with the abandoned vehicle.
