Are you doing the Dual weekly grounds pass ticket to Wilshire & Palos Verdes? Only $70, plus $10.76 for fees and taxes ... that's still better than one week at the USWO. But, will they nail you on parking?
I have to start mapping out my 2022 schedule NOW. The June 10-12 weekend is tricky as Shoprite/Acer and the Curtis Cup will run concurrently ... looks like I'll be driving in a big triangle pattern from and to home to hit parts of both events.
Oh, and the latest news has The Scimitar Golf League playing at Camp Orangina on July 29-31. The "tour" website has absolutely nothing beyond calendar dates. Fascinating how they'll have a shotgun start for a field of only 48 ... it's like they want all the players off the golf course in 4-5 hours so the membership can use it for the rest of the day. I assume they'll be using the newer course, which was originally scheduled for the 2022 PGA Championship ... I've seen only the older course.
At Wilshire you can park on the street, 200 yards from the entrance. PV will likely have a remote lot with a minimal charge. Chevron parking is remote but cheap. The weather in Rancho Mirage is supposed to be ideal. This is the 12th and final year the Ford Fusion will venture to the Coachella Valley. On the trip back, the San Gorgonio Pass kills lots of older cars when it is really hot. If that happens I will leave the car on the side of the highway and let CHPs deal with the abandoned vehicle. We're on it! (little known fact Ponch and Jon never drew their weapons.)

You don't need to carry a weapon in sunny California. When Jon Baker & Poncherello pull up you're done.

Dinah Shore was hot as hell. It's a shame her statue shows a woman with giant gaps between her teeth. Restore Poppie's Pond into a murky chemical laced mess & fix Dinah's mouth.

On the other hand, Mathews unleashed the lead many times.

Another strange decision ... the newest Ole Miss Rebel dumped ANWA for Chevron. I wonder if there is a lodging issue in the Augusta area, although it is one week BEFORE The Masters. However, ANWA had no problem getting replacements.

I bet all the young ams are choosing Chevron because Augusta has strayed too far from Alister Mackenzie’s design. Proud of them.

I think they're choosing Chevron to avoid that creepy Butler Cabin ceremony, with the framed portrait of DDE staring down at them.

My field rating for the year's first major championship is a very strong 82.5%. Down from 86.5% last year, when it was the highest rated field of the year. My breakdown is 88% from the LPGA Priority List and 77% from this week's Rolex Rankings. The only big star not teeing it up this week is Nelly Korda. The only non-LPGA member in this week's field that is ranked in the top 100 is Heejeong Lim (currently ranked #36). Twenty-four of the top 25 players from the LPGA Priority List and 22 of the top 25 players from the Rolex Rankings will be in attendance.
There were some big moves in the Rolex Rankings this week: Atthaya Thitikul made the most important move leaping from 14 to 5. Nanna Koerstz Madsen made a big move for the second consecutive week, moving from 32 to 19. Na Rin An jumped into the top 50, with a move from 59 to 39. Pajaree Anannarukarn jumped from 70 to 60.
We also had some huge moves outside the top 100: Maude-Aimee Leblanc rises from 250 to 136 and Lilia Vu leaps from 219 to 143.
The LPGA has now completed its first 6 tournaments, and we have had: six different winners. Winners from 6 different countries. Three fisrt time winners.

Usually the GIC follows up a Ko compliment with hoping Korda keeps up to provide a rivalry. Jin Young’s rival might be Annika. Isn’t that better?

Caddie list is out ... I guess Team Buhai needed last week off, but it's back to usual now: Lucky Six w/ David and Tanya Paterson w/Ashleigh. MHL gets Valentin Lopez ... who?! Did a lookup on Getty ... Lopez was with Patrick Sheehan on the PGA Tour in 2006. No Fassi or Fassi-cam this week, so Ivan Galdame gets to work for Ruffels. With Saso back in North America, she's returning to Vern Tess. I see a blank name next to the EMP ... uh oh, trouble in paradise? The EMP Heir Presumptive, Natasha Oon, also has no looper listed.

I see a blank name next to the EMP ... uh oh, trouble in paradise? This post from yesterday only raises more questions. If "latts76" was born in 1976, he's 16 years older than KT. Maybe lugging around a 40-50 lb. staff bag every day is taking it's toll.

They gave quite a lot of coverage to the Chev on Golf Central last night. I liked this video about Dinah Shore. Don't miss the clip of Grandma Judy shilling for Fab!

It's a shame that they didn't keep this Major here. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to go to the last Tournament. To me there was only two Majors, the Dinah Shore and the US Women Open. The others I liked them but didn't love them.
