The LPGA website doesn't have the Wed. tee times posted yet, but that info can be found by clicking the 'Media - Press Site' button at the bottom of the home page. BTW, it's in North Las Vegas, not Las Vegas.
MHL has Lewis her bracket, blecchh! They play against each other Wednesday ... the other two in that pod are Paphangkorn and Kemp. The first day includes The New Ko against Nat Nat, which the ring doctor will stop early on cuts.
Are spectators allowed to attend? I clicked on the 'tickets' button, which takes you to the event website ... which says nothing. Is it free admission? It should be free ... the LPGA didn't draw flies when they were in Las Vegas about 15 years ago.
The pod system is used as insurance against the "wrong" players advancing or even winning. Unfortunately, it makes the first two days of matches somewhat boring. Plus, as we just saw in Korea, there won't be many matches on Wednesday between the top-two performers of each pod.

This is a fairly strong field considering there are only 64 players competing.
My field rating is 59%. This is based on 65.5% from the Priority List and 52.5% from the Rolex Rankings.
Key players skipping the event this week include:
Nelly Korda Jessica Korda Lydia Ko Amy Yang Lexi Thompson Charley Hull Georgia Hall Ingee Chun

Whan did a good job strong-arming Bank of Hope into sponsoring this one & done tournament. At least it's at a fantastic golf course.

This should be the tournament of the year but I wish they'd thrown Vegas resident NYC a bone.

A $50 bet on SHP times 160 will temporarily solve my problems.

A $50 bet on SHP times 160 will temporarily solve my problems. Possibly a good play - her double bogeys will not be as punishing in match play. And hopefully the difficult course will keep her head in the game.

5 & 4 ... nothing to see here ... my current avatar is sufficient.
*******
How about Gimmee turning HoJo into a box of fried clam strips? She won four thru seven and is 4-up thru 10 holes.
*******
Kupcho awoke and broke the woke Christina Kim, 6 & 4.

Minjee Lee really needs to improve her short game, her chips and pace of her putts are bad.

Some surprises in the first Match. Jin Young Ko took too long to beat Natalie Gulbis 4&2. Big surprises Inbee Park tied by Jennifer Chan, Hyo Joo Kim lost to Alison Lee 5&4 Others, Jeongeun Lee6 was tied by Pajaree Anannarukarn who made a birdie on eighteen. Sei Young Kim got a lucky tie when Ayako Uehara made bogey on par five eighteen.
At least So Yeon Ryu and Sung Hyun Park won 3&1 against decent opponents.
Eun Hee Lee 4&3 against Mirim Lee no surprise.
I see why the LPGA golfers loses to the KLPGA Golfers. There aren't very good at Match Play.

Day 1 The Sisters are going to have to do better if they want to make it through the round robin portion. Jin Young seemed almost lulled to sleep, then decided she had better do something and promptly dispatched the vastly overmatched Gulbis. Since Gulbis will probably lose to everyone, it's pretty important for Jin Young to beat Masson; that would give her two wins and guarantee at least a playoff for the win in her section. But if Masson beats her, given she will almost certainly beat Gulbis, that would effectively eliminate Jin Young. Did love Jin Young's reason for not liking match play: she feels sorry for her opponent. That's cute, but she needs to learn to kick butt first, apologize later! So Yeon continued her great play, and Sung Hyun surprised, but it was frankly a bit disappointing that Sei Young, Inbee, and Lee6 did not do better. But at least none of them took a beating like Hyo Joo did. Yikes! In any event, it is time to get wins, Sisters! Let's do something to turn this miserable year around!! Sisters hwaiting!

If Jin Young feel sorry for her opponent, she should talk to the 7&6 winner Danelle Kang. I saw her win both her USGA Amateur Trophies. Her second win against Jessica Korda they were friendly before the Match. But when the bell rung and they teed off, Danielle never let up. She may not win but whoever she plays better expect a battle.

The charms of The New Ko are starting to grow on me. She has been World #1 almost every week for about 2.5 years, but in that Wednesday interview she needed help coming up with the word "win" in English.
********
I have an unproven theory: everybody who loses their first round-robin match will not make it to the knockout rounds. Without cheating via today's scores, I jotted down the 24 names who lost on Wednesday. I'll have my answer tomorrow night.

Local news reporting for this one -
If you do a satellite look at this golf course via Google Maps, everything is brown for miles around it in all directions.

Inbee Park and Jeongeun Lee6 bounced back from their disporting ties with 5&3 wins. So Yeon Ryu had another very good Match with a 4&3 win.
Jin Young Ko Match got a little close down the stretch. She hit a good shot on seventeen that just bounced into the rough. She knew that it would be very fast and tried a shot that didn't work out. When she hit the fairway on eighteen, no problem, I knew that she would make birdie.
Not a good Tournament for Hyo Joo Kim, surprisingly.
Sei Young Kim had another chance to get the win. One up at par three seventeen and hit into the water by the green
