Do only the top sixteen get paid, they don't give a lot of information for a Professional Tour.
I assume everyone gets paid ... the broadcasters said the players who had no chance of advancing to the knockout round would get paid based on their three-day records.

Yes that's Butch. Danielle is lucky. He has a 2nd house on Beach Road & plays the San Clemente Muni a couple of times a year.

I don’t ask for much but Jenny Shin needs to win this thing.

Day 3 As I said before, what a disaster for the Sisters. Inbee did get through, but Jin Young, oi. I've rarely seen her play as poorly as she did today. I can recall her being in a few fairway bunkers, a shot from well below an elevated green, one shot that flew into the woods... Yeesh, awful. I had a feeling this might not be her week when she took her time wiping out Gulbis on day one. Even with Gulbis miraculously beating Masson, Ko couldn't run with that to beat Nordqvist to get through. So that leaves us Ji, Jenny and Inbee. Ji meets Shin next, so there goes at least one of the Sisters. Inbee's playing Popov next; all I need is for Inbee to lose to her to make the misery complete! C'mon, Inbee, this is your hood! Time to step up and rescue this week for the Sisters. Sisters hwaiting!!

It must be nice that Danielle Kang can have a top Teaching Pro Butch Harmon follow her around.
Natalie Gulbis could have mailed it in and giving the win to Caroline Masson. Instead she showed a lot of pride and competed to the last birdie on eighteen. My hat's off to her.

I should mention that Gulbis tied Masson, rather than beat her, but that was still enough to prevent her from reaching the playoff. Yeah, good on her; she had nothing to play for in terms of money; she was going to be last even if she won against Masson. But she showed up and tried anyways.

Incorrect. Cheyenne Knight was the only player to get goose-egged all three days, so Nat Nat's tie should give her more money if I correctly understood what Abbott or Boone said yesterday.

I thought it was based on where you finished in your section, not your overall win/loss record in the entire field... I might be wrong, but that was my understanding.

Well Sophia Popov out lasted Inbee Park with a birdie on the 20th hole. That after getting a tie with an Eagle on eighteen in regulation. I knew it would be a tough match for Inbee with her length off the tee.
I thought that Sung Hyun Park had just played bad against Sophia Popov. But Sophia Popov had eight birdies in just fourteen holes.
Danielle Kang has the only easy Match on paper. But it's Match Play where anything can happen and sometimes does.
Edit: Looks like Danielle Kang has the easier Match of the others. But anything can happen in Match play and sometimes does.

Ok, I jinxed Danielle Kang no more predictions. Ally Ewing played way over her head. She had trouble beating one hundred ninety four Ranked Jenny Coleman.
Sophia Popov didn't have to do too much, young Patty Tavatanakit had only one birdie.

Morgan Pressel in the booth is a troublesome development. This tour is not in a particularly good place. The Gulbis invitation is an obvious cry for help. She does not even have a world ranking.

Apparently, if you complain about a gal's vocal fry you are a misogynist. I don't care. Morgan needs to speak like a real announcer or I need to sharpen my No. 2 pencil.

Ah, OK, good to know Inbee lost so I don't have to watch any more of this nonsense this week.
Match play really is too random for me. Golf already has a pretty big random factor going on, but match play just seems to democratize things too much. At this level pretty much anyone can have a mediocre round or a great one at any time. But in stroke play it's much harder to produce a total of 4 rounds of relative brilliance if you are not a great player, especially on a reasonably tough course.
How many wins has Inbee had where she played four great rounds? Not many. But she wins because she can overcome the crap rounds. In match play, you just hope the crap round doesn't happen when your opponent is on fire, and if it does, you are just SOOL.

Happy...Not sure you would have said nonsense if your player(s) were in final. I do agree with the rest of your statement though. I wouldn't want more than one of these on the schedule...but I do like having one, as it adds variety to the schedule.
