Scoring average is one of the most important stats but it can be misleading too. In Gee lowered her average to 69.923 and moved to No. 6 in Vare race; even though she's been lapped by the field this week.
In Gee is 5'9" and 23 years old; how could she be in the same league as Mo Martin in driving distance!
Driving Distance can be misleading in the short run, too. Really wish they had shotlink.
Average driving distance can be misleading over one or two drives but it's a good indicator over a tournament with 8 drives. The seasonal average is even better.
I've been tracking In Gee's average driving distance and it has been trending down. Her worst was around USWO when she averaged less than 230 yards.
A queenly performance from Sei Young. This one was never in doubt for a long time.
This is not the first time Carlota had that incredible final round to beat everyone in the field EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE PLAYER. One of these times she will have to finish first.
When's the last time three English Women finished in the top ten on the LPGA?
My sincere thanks for remembering me. The reason I stopped posting is that our Sisters performed poorly (4 wins out of 14 first events, Inbee lost a playoff to a regular player, Hyo Joo Kim bogey'ed the 2nd aggregate hole, IGC+SYR+and, most importantly, my #1 fav SYK, ... kept disappearing from the leaderboard. What I felt is perhaps the same thing you are now having with IGC's performance.
However, I always read the forum daily, at least 3 times a dạy and appreciated HappyFan and you (and at least 4 others) for having tremendously increased your posting after the banning event. (Sorry. Need to go now). Will come back with my thought on SYK tomorrow.

You are correct, it’s trending down a fair amount since 2017. About 10 yards. Still just 12 events tho. One or two funky weeks could have brought that down?
Brandle on Golf Channel "But SHOULD Phil be a lock for the Ryder Cup?"
The LPGA is not real golf, it's just a giggle sport. That is the conclusion one can draw when NJ's biggest newspaper has no words, pictures, or scores on Sunday and Monday regarding The Karate Kid's record-breaking performance. Oh, but they do have a small story and scores for Kevin Na's second PGA Tour win. Well, at least they don't hate Koreans.

American big media are clearly American centric; that's why Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson or Jordan Spieth are bigger than Gary Player, Ernie Els or Rory McIlroy.
Headlines would fly everywhere if Michelle Wie or Lexi Thompson did what Sei Young did last night.
The beauty about niche media like Seoul Sisters Forum is we create our own stars and talk about them. Who cares about big media, they're dying anyway.

Keep in mind that the USWO was very wet, and they were getting very little roll. Lexi averaged 260 yards for the week, down from her average of 274 (-5%). Sei Young averaged 248 yards vs. 265 normally. So Yeon 245 vs. 260. Sung Hyun 253 vs. 272.

I understand that; but 228 yards carry is still pathetic.
Look, this is a course that was set up far too easy for these ladies. You should be able to get a top ten with a 16 under par score. But even with that, Sei Young's performance was just ridiculously good. OK, she had her worst score of the week on Sunday (how could she not birdie 13?), but that score happened to be a 65, which was still better than any score In Gee, for instance, managed this week. She now owns two of the three lowest scores in relation to par in LPGA history, AND the low 54 hole score to boot. Also the most under par holes in a single tournament in LPGA history.
I think we need to start asking the big question here: why is this woman not a bigger star, even among the Koreans? She now has 7 career wins. That's one more than So Yeon Ryu, one more than Grace Park and Hee Won Han, and just one fewer than Mi Hyun Kim. And she hasn't even played four full seasons yet.
It doesn't help that she has no Major wins yet. And she hasn't really contended all that much this year. But even so, she still shot a 61 at the ShopRite and probably should have won there were it not for her meltdown at the very end.
Anyway, fantastic stuff by her.
Nice week by Amy Yang, who has also been a bit off the radar this season. Too bad about the botch job on 15, but she was pretty solid the rest of the day. Jin Young managed a T7th, minimizing any gains the other rookies might have made on her.
In Gee had a good first two days, but was never able to get it going on the weekend. Still she was thisclose to a top ten, so not a bad result.
Awesome to watch history in the making yesterday. Great job, Sei Young!!!!
So Yeon has been consistent through out her career. So Yeon doesn't have the wins, but never have been outside the top ten money list, in her career. Not taking anything away from Sei Young, but you can get hot and win a tournament. To be recognized you need to show up at the top of the leader board the majority of the time.
I remember one year Na Yeon Choi won two tournaments. However she had only one other top ten.
