In Gee's scoring average is misleading; she scores well when nothing matters but withers when pressure is on. Today is one example; she shot -2 which is the worst of the Top 19 players. She missed 5 fairways and 7 greens when others don't miss much. I know she's capable of shooting a low round tomorrow, but it doesn't matter any anymore.

There is enough there to support the narrative but I like to see things quantified. She’s only played 11 LPGA events this year. Any poor rounds in pressure situations could just be noise, too. Same with not winning last year while being 3rd in scoring. I bet that’s rare. I do wonder if some super talented players like In Gee and Lyds switch from playing to win to playing to make cuts and earn. Most likely there are just more good players every year so it just seems that way.

Round 3 Man oh man is Sei Young Kim on fire through three rounds. How amazing? How about tying the lowest three round score in LPGA history? How about an 8 shot lead? Even on an easy course like this, 24 under for three rounds is crazy good. She's been sputtering a bit this year, but she sure seems to be righting the ship, doesn't she? Yes, she can still lose, but she's going to have to blow it; even a mediocre round (which on this course would be around 69) should be more than enough for the win (and when you consider how many 6 to ten foot putts she's missed this week, the score might have been ridiculous with just a semi-hot putter). Amy is also bringing it this week, enough to get into the final group tomorrow. Hope she can maintain the top five form! In Gee had an unfortunately so-so round today. She's not going to win, but I hope she can return to her form of the first two days and play so well that they force Golf Channel to actually show her. Ditto Jin Young, whom I think they showed once today. MJ Hur might also be able to get a top ten with a good outing Sunday. Sisters HWAITING!!!!

HappyFanTiffany didn't help In Gee. In Gee beat Tiffany by 6 shots but lost 3 shots to other top players.

In Gee shot 139 over the weekend which is the fourth worst among the top 34 finishers.
Her biggest problems are driving distance and approach shot to the green, which are related. Putting has been her only strength.
In Gee's average driving distance is 4 yards longer than Mo Martin; which is insane.

On a serious note, I recall there was an interview with Dr. Won Park about a year ago where he said In Gee never fully recovered from Luggagegate and her back was in constant pain. That could certainly account for her lack of driving distance as well as other issues.

In Gee lowered her average to 69.923 and moved to No. 6 in Vare race; even though she's been lapped by the field this week. In Gee is 5'9" and 23 years old; how could she be in the same league as Mo Martin in driving distance! The only explanation would be the aftereffect of luggagegate, which seems to get worse all the time. Unless In Gee gets her average driving distance close to 260 yards, her time as an elite player may be doomed; scoring average aside.
