On another note I wish Lydia could somehow play under the Korean flag. No Korean has been able to show enough grease to persuade Tina yet.....time will tell.

GOLD!!At last, 2016 gives us a transcendent moment for the Seoul Sisters. What an amazing four days of golf it was! Hmmmm....so if no Koreans medal'd would we be reading a 'whoa is me' post about the Koreans and how luck others were in winning a medal?

I'm not sure how to respond to that rubbish about In Gee being the new Birdie Kim,
So you think fanofseri is out of contol? Don't worry Dumbo...we still LUV you....no need to cry....but show some class and put Argonne's head cover on your driver in Calgary.

In Gee is clearly back to drawing board, since she failed miserably in both USWO and Olympics, two of the cornerstones of her "Big Bang" rookie season plan.
There is no question she has the total package; the swing, short games and scintillating putting. But we've found out in 2016 that she isn't tough enough, both mentally and physically.
It's a matter of time she puts it all together; it just takes time.

I watched it and she was really upset that she didn't get a Medal. She just couldn't stop crying, and I guarantee you she were really hurt. I don't know if they did it off camera, but I never saw one U.S player come over to console her. If not it was pretty sad, because she poured her heart into it.

This replay ends at 10 PM EST, but the next one starts at 6:30 AM EST on Monday. BTW, the next JLPGA replay has been pushed back to 12:30 AM EST on Monday.

Congrats to Inbee, she has passed Webb as the 2nd best player in the modern era. One Olympic Gold is greater than 17 LPGA wins? I think not.. If Inbee were to retire this year I'd rank her behind Webb, Lorena and Se Ri in career achievements. Webb because 41 is vastly greater than 17. Lorena simply because of money earned per event over her career (which equates to very consistent high performances). Lorena averaged over $84k per event, Inbee is just under $60k, that's a huge difference in terms of consistency. The only player that has a better $ per event record than Lorena is Lydia but that Lydia is only early in her career that could change. You could cherry pick Inbee's last 5 years and say she was better than Lorena but in terms of career she's not. Se Ri becasue I rate 25 wins as comfortably better than 17. I know Inbee has won more Majors than Se Ri or Lorena but I don't rate the Ladies Majors that highly in terms of special achievement. Whilst Majors are important and always have strong fields the reality is that around 30% of the events outside the Majors rate within 10% of any Major in terms of field strength, they are pretty much just as hard to win as any Major. There's probably less than a handful of events each year where the fields are (relatively) weak. That combined with the fact that the Major courses aren't overly more difficult than any regular event (outside the USWO but even that at times is watered down) I just don't rate Majors that highly. I mean is Inbee's win at Evian less impressive than Lydia's or Hyo Joo's? No, Evian always had a strong field and the course never changed that much so the wins, to me, are pretty much equal. It all depends on how much longer Inbee plays but I don't see her getting anywhere near Webb as far as career goes and she'll have to get to at least 25 wins to be ahead of Lorena and Se Ri.

Huge congrats to Inbee! I never got to see any of it but followed the scoring on the last day and Inbee went out and kicked butt, very well deserved!
I was impressed with Lydia's comeback from the first two days, I thought she was well out of it so to finish 2nd was solid.
Did Inbee look to be having any trouble with the thumb out there? I was wondering if she was getting a jab every day or if she is actually Ok, not sure how much more she will be playing this year.

It's a matter of time she puts it all together; it just takes time. Give her a break! She's doing just fine, 9 top 10's from 13 events, Top 10 in a bunch of stats that matter, 12th on the money list with plenty of time left to get into the top 10 there and even get a W. And all that with a month or more out injured! Seems to me that's a pretty solid first year out there.. Then again I never bought into any of the 'World Beater' kool aid that flowed like a river around here so I guess my expectations were lower for In Gee..

Back then many of us has deserted the Queen Bee for the flavor of the months, eg Ariya, Brooke, or even Sung Hyun Park, when Inbee was shooting in the 80s. You are the one who maintained that there is only ONE player who has the consistency and mental fortitude to challenge the Wonder Kid for #1, and that player was nursing a thumb injury at the time. Well play sir.
