I thought that white women was going to club the little Korean boy with her 'QUIET" sign when the kid picked up Ko's ball on 18.

Annika got better every day. Apologies to her. Wish I could say the same for IGC. By now, the halo effect from winning a USWO crown is completely gone. Sadly, In Gee is back to square one as a LPGA nobody. Will she restart from the scratch, only time will tell! I wouldn't give up on In Gee so early in her career. The great swing is still solid, not a lot of moving parts. Only thing is an occasional push to the right or miss club. But there is not too much that can go wrong. Her putting has become a little tentative. It's looks like she isn't stroking them like she used to, coming up a two to three rolls short. I think the second time around on each course she will be better. Unless she does what So Yeon does in keep changing putters and putting style. S

I noticed Ko gave a greater snub to Lewis and Lexi too. Se Ri was balling like a baby. Hmmmm...what happened to the Korean water show....I guess they know better...just like some ball players won't Gatorade shower some coaches out of fear or respect.

WIn-Gee just had to get through the Olympics. She'll start playing great golf again very soon. Yani too.
I'll never say a bad thing about Lydia or Shanshan again for slamming the door on a playoff for Stacy Lewis.
Winbee telling Stacy to "get lost" and not score any "oh look at stacy congratulate Winbee!" points without compensation to Winbee was the highlight. I wonder what the Korean clothing sponsor paid Winbee to take the duct tape off her hat. Couple million if she held out until Saturday. Was this like the Super Bowl in Korea? Primetime?
Outstanding week for women's golf. The media attention was a B-, in other words as good as it gets. I'll take it. (Golf channel gets an A+)

How big was that flubbed backhand tap-in attempt by Nomura? She could've been in a playoff with Shanshan for Bronze. what hole? 11th hole... in Round 1.

During my excitement about Inbee wining. Forgot about Amy Yang coming so close to getting in a playoff for a medal. Also Minjee Lee missing two short birdie putts on sixteen and seventeen. That could have given her a chance.
Anyway the whole Korean team finished under par. Sei Young had the toughest time, especially after being five under first round.

Just landed in Calgary for the Canadian Open. Braggart. Did you see any familiar golf faces at the airport? See anyone there ready to hand out flower bouquets and stuffed animals to any Sisters? Are you attending the Monday qualifier at The Hamptons GC? Your site needs some fresh Muni shots...she's in the 1:17 PM group. BTW, Christine Song is a late addition to that field.

GOLD!!At last, 2016 gives us a transcendent moment for the Seoul Sisters. What an amazing four days of golf it was! After Inbee missed the cut at the Samdasoo last week, I was one of those people wondering if she wasn't being selfish taking the Olympic spot. Ha Na Jang had just notched a top five at a Major, and So Yeon Ryu had a top ten. Inbee couldn't even make the cut on the KLPGA. I was cool with Inbee going to Rio, because if anyone on the Korean squad earned her spot by virtue of her brilliance, it was Inbee. It would just have to be up to the other three Koreans to figure out a way to get a medal. Cause there was no way Inbee was going to be a factor. Not with a thumb injury that had prevented her from even completing a four round tournament since April, let alone winning. How did she do it? She rested the injury, allowing it to heal a little, then figured out a way to play through the pain. She enlisted other swing coaches in addition to her hubby to help her to fix what was broken. And the rest was just being Inbee Park. I'll admit that after the second round, I quietly came to the conclusion that her thumb was not an issue and was not going to impede her this week. It was going to be about rust and determination. Even with her having a six shot lead, the one moment I worried Saturday was when she dumped that shot in the water. Was this the moment that she would buckle? Then I remembered that this was Inbee Park. This wasn't Mirim Lee struggling to hold on at the British. This wasn't Sung Hyun Park trying to find her first Major title at Cordevalle. This was Inbee fricking Park. Inbee makes mistakes, sure, but she almost never lets the moment get the better of her. And sure enough, brilliance continued. She got past the tough stuff and soared past any challengers just like Phelps or Bolt or Ledecky. Yes, this was that Olympian a performance. With many of the best women currently in the game trying everything to stop her, Inbee increased her lead from 2 to 5 shots. And she did it all despite the doubt surrounding her injury, despite the rust, despite the critics. The critics lit a fire under her that was truly epic. I don't think I've ever seen her more determined than she was on that back nine. What a champion! Now, a word about the other Koreans. Kudos to Hee Young Amy Yang for not giving up. She made a run just like she did at the end of the US Women's Open last year, and it was almost enough to get her a shot at bronze. Had Inbee not played well this week, she might very well have gotten that medal. In Gee did not have a good Sunday (again), but she still finished top 15 after making the toughest golf team to qualify for. I wouldn't be surprised if the moment got to her (they didn't show her enough for me to know), but she still did Korea proud. Sei Young Kim did not have it after her first round. She was the one Korean I really feel underperformed this week. But that's Sei Young. Not consistent week to week, but when she's on she's a superstar. Just picked a bad week to be off. I can't conclude without mentioning Se Ri. She did a fabulous job as den mother to these ladies, and her emotion was touching. And kudos also to Minjee Lee, who came a couple putts short of her own shot at bronze after a great rally. And to Lydia Ko, who was helpless to stop Park but still made the putts she needed to at the end to capture Silver. Man, this was awesome and the ending was storybook perfect. On to 2020! Sister Hwaiting! (PS - and what about those crowds? It was like watching a KLPGA event with all that hooting and hollering. When they played the Korean national anthem, you could hear the crowd singing along. Wow!)

I'm not sure how to respond to that rubbish about In Gee being the new Birdie Kim, except to point out that In Gee has already had a better LPGA career than Birdie. Birdie never again had a top ten in a Major, and Chun has had two just this year, including a runner-up. Anyway, In Gee cried a little afterwards. Korean language interview post-tournament. But overall, she loved the experience. Great job, In Gee, and keep your chin up!

I will just say this N D I. Never doubt Inbee. She has one of the biggest hearts in golf. I have to admit that I did not see her winning a Gold Medal. But the one thing you can count on. When it's important she will give it her all.
Did not put much stock in the missed cut on the KLPGA. Because she was just trying to work out some kinks. Not too sure if she really wanted to play the full tournament.
On another note I wish Lydia could somehow play under the Korean flag. So she can be a part of a team. I believe she really wants too.

Lydia look terrible in this vid....what's with all the white make-up.....and blow dry your hair....it looks awful....come on...it's the medal ceremony. Sura...take care of your baby sister. But for those who have met The Dragon Lady...she's no fashionista.....I guess Tina is a FAKE too....Koreans pride themselves on their appearance.
