Couple more things I forgot: My hero Miss Ernst went low with a 66 to vault up the leader board while playing with Pressel and Henderson. That’s become quit a pedestrian round for her here at Columbia Edgewater. And keeps my interest in the LPGA and this tourney up. That straddle the line/visualize the putt/left hand low putting style is still out there being used, although not as much as last year, thank goodness. I think the new fad now is get a pre-shot routine and stick to it no matter what. I saw a player start over when a marshal, 50 yards away, opened a soda with a small whoosh. (Insert roll eyes here) Grrrrr It was downright cold out there yesterday morning with a nice breeze all day, Got a bit chilled starting off but warmed to the 80’s in the afternoon. Expect the same today. I’m neither fat nor lazy. Here’s proof rule two is being followed to a T (insert roll eyes here….again) -ol’68

ol'68 Yup...the gals are mental midgets....I saw the gals backing off many times in Seattle to the slightest noise....Dumbo backed off several times.
Yup....I also saw those pathetic 5.5 hr rds in Seattle too.....I played twilight last night in 3 hrs and was kinda goofing around hitting practice shots and looking for balls if I was catching up to the 2some in front....I asked a Korean couple if they wanted to join...they said no....they rarely want to play with strangers...the lady made an excuse they were beginners and not very good...but they had no problems keeping up behind me...I guess Koreans aren't good liars....lol.
I knew a kid would bail on their standard bearer duties...lol.
Yup...Jennifer Song is so skinny...she's kinda aloof...I know I know...others will say she's shy....actually there are a lot of shy pros....I think many are naturally introverts....I think Lexi is a natural introvert.

Friday July 1, 2016, And even though chain smoking Jennifer Rosales had dropped out and made it a two-some, we never once threatened to wait for the group in front to hit. First round of the day, Sarah Kemp and Giulia Molinaro, Aussie and Italian (with an Italian caddie to boot- Ivan was a great guy, too) Miss Grice had game and can REALLY drive the ball well, smooth hit down on the ball shot that rockets off the face. Miss Hedwall looks like my hero Austin Ernst +75 pounds. Wore bbbblack on black everything (even the undies which peeked out every time she bent down to read a putt) Good report. 1.) I didn't even notice JRo on the final field list. What has happened to her? Was she even on the premises this week? She stunk it up last year, so I assume she was either injured or washed up. She has not played at all this season. 2.) Yes, Ivan Galdame is a cool looper...he's in my latest avatar with Mi Hyang at last year's USWO. However, I think he is Spanish, not Italian...but I heard him speak both languages at the Shop-Rite pro-am. 3.) Casey can definitely mash her driver. Volvik latched on to her when she was on the Symetra tour and it looks like an investment with some upside. 4.) Oh my gosh, you brought back a bad memory...Hedwall's LPGA pro debut at the 2011 Evian, which was on GC. She wore a mannish red polo golf shirt and navy pants...an outfit that was almost bursting at the seams. She was Boog Powell with a pony tail. Sadly, this event was recorded for the archives, which includes an unfortunate reminder regarding a tennis legend:

Unless Austin lights it up tomorrow...write the cheque to the Canadian Princess.
The water on 13 shouldn't come into play for the pros...pretty lame Uribe and Brooke rinsed them. Uribe is pretty cute and spicy.
Ya gotta LUV Tutta's potty mouth....on 16..."ya gotta hit the F*CKIN ball".....I guess Butch can't repair Deadbetter's work...freakin A swing crap.

I'm as old as dirt...some of us had a Boog Powell bat playing little league....my 1st team was the Orioles....then I got traded to the expansion team...the Expos....I didn't have a very good agent back then.

Great hearing from you, ol' 68! I was contemplating dashing down there tomorrow but I don't think my old car can take the drive down and back. Besides, I want to rest on Sunday after working all day today.
I sincerely hope I can make it next year. You know what would be ideal? If the tournament ended on August 20th and the next day I can head a little ways down South to experience the total solar eclipse.

Uribe was pathetically slow standing over her ball...Kevin Na like....she was likely the one that got the group on the clock...Tutta can be molasses too.
Hmmmm....no Koreans near the top of the leader board...is it coincident Happy is absent from this thread?....lol.

Really thought In-Kyung would be contending this week. She looked pretty good lately.

Another tournament I haven't watched at all this week. Just no one in the field that I like that looked she was going to contend, and I knew they wouldn't show the few I like anyway. If Henderson wins, and it looks like she will, that means that all three of her LPGA wins came in the Pacific NW. How swell! I would kill to see just once a favorite of mine win an event in person, but I've already been to two events that Henderson has won... Meanwhile, though I think the odds are uber long, I'll throw in a cheer for Uribe. She is about the only white golfer I know who has taken advantage of the language tutors the LPGA provides... to learn KOREAN! Apparently she enjoys practicing Korean with the Sisters when she gets paired with them. So I guess she's my honorary Sister for this week. Go get em, Mariajo!!!

Saturday July 2, 2016, Really not much to report today. Infact, I didn’t even get the camera out of the pocket to take any pics today! My group all started at -2 and finished +1, -1, and -1 . Cal Bear Dani Holmqvist via Sweden, Mexican Gaby Lopez and Thai PK Kongkraphan, who was introduced as the Symetra Player of the year 2015. Cool. Quick player who provided the only positive highlights of my group all day when she pitched in for bird on 9 AND 17!!! PK is one who looks a lot more masculine, than feminine, not at all like fellow Thai hottie Miss Phatlum. Miss Lopez was going along steady till 18 where she bladed a shot out of the fairway bunker that landed in the stands surrounding the hole and never came back (It’s deep in the bowels now) Had to wait for a looooong time for a ruling and after she just simply dropped with no penalty, she chunked her next into the deep bunker 3 feet in front of her. Instant double and went from being under to over par for the day just like that. All I can say is Miss Holmqvist is slow and blamed a couple missed putts on spectators who maybe moved, with an icy stare. (insert another roll eyes icon here) I leave you with a shot from the Thorns game tonight which we won 2-1. I’d much rather do this than deal with the likes of Miss Holmqvist. (Can’t she see that?) -ol’68 PS……oh, and Phil, Miss Hedwall was all over the place yesterday and like either birdied, or bogied a hole. Needs to even out her temperament, too, in a round. Yep, Miss Grice had a Volvik guy following us all day. Really the only spectator for any of my groups all week so far except for mom and dad of Miss Lopez, today. Rosales played like, 5 holes and withdrew on Thursday. (I personally never saw her) But I guess forgot to tell anybody because my walking scorer Friday was always being asked for her score when he reported over the radio. Ivan prolly is Spanish but can speak Italian with Miss Molinaro with the best of ‘em. Miss ya Vern, bud.
