I'm not even going to bring up playing with a dryer sheet in your visor. There's a practical reason for that: it contains an ingredient that somehow keeps the gnats at bay. The last thing you want is to have those pesky things buzzing your face while you're trying to execute a shot.
Kevin It's indefensible! There should be a fashion standard with suspensions for noncompliance.

LMAO Arg I've noticed you often copy pics from this site to paste onto WRX....why not? Have you played any interesting courses lately? Has the weather been dry back east....hopefully Oakmont is baked out so we can witness a gong show....lol.

Bivens is an idiot....knows jack sh*t about golf....the BoD that hired her were a bunch of tools too....nuff said. As I recall Bivens came on board with some ideas that were good for the players. ?? Insurance , retirement , and bigger purses, new sponsors with a better deal for the LPGA. It seemed her biggest problem was extremely poor PR skills, offending most people she needed to negotiate with. The English Only policy was an extreme example of this. The concept of the players being able to interact in pro-ams, speak in interviews, etc, was not in itself evil. But the draconian way she presented it kind of summed up her insensitivity and lack of PR skills. Instead, play up the language supports in place, celebrate the diversity as Mike Wahn does pretty much every time he's on air. What's got lost in her English requirement blunder is her achievement in get the tour a long term TV home in the GC. So instead some random channels with D-list announcing crews. We get Tom Abbott to grace us with his great announcing every week.

I found the Korean sources for the pics (Mania Report, Newsen), and now I copy them directly from there. I played 7 rounds in north central Illinois 2 weeks ago. Nice courses, but nothing Earth shattering. I had winter trips to Florida (Tiberon Gold, Streamsong), Mississippi, and Arizona. Great golf, but again, nothing that truly stands out, other than Streamsong. Playing Tiberon Gold was fun, as it's the site of the LPGA Tour Championship. The weather here in the Midwest has been very wet and windy. I've gotten my money's worth from my rain gear this season. The only upside is that the courses are basically empty when it's cold and wet, so the rounds are quick.

Yesterday was Media Day with defending champ Anna Nordqvist. Her most important announcement was that she retired her putter after the Yokohama Tire and is looking for a new one. This wall is supposed to be near the 1st tee, but I don't remember ever seeing it. Maybe it's blocked from view by all the tournament infrastructure (that's the only time I ever go there). They must be kidding...for the second straight year, they gave an invite to Candy Hannemann. Yeah, I know, it's the Olympics, blah blah blah...unless Brazil is allowed more than two players, she's not getting on the team (over 250 spots behind the second place Brazilian). The second invite went to junior Elizabeth Wang of San Marino, CA, who finished T-2 at the Annika Invitational earlier this year and won the Junior PGA Championship last year. Her WAGR is # 251. 0

No, I'm not a member of a private club, so my access to private courses is very limited. I believe I've played 5 private courses in the Chicago area, and over 120 public courses.

I'm glad to see KPMG will come to Chicago for the next two years. I hope they get decent crowds. I never played Kemper Lakes. I did play Olympia Fields but it was so long ago I can only remember eating a club sandwich in the clubhouse.
