Yesterday was Media Day with defending champ Anna Nordqvist. Her most important announcement was that she retired her putter after the Yokohama Tire and is looking for a new one. This wall is supposed to be near the 1st tee, but I don't remember ever seeing it. Maybe it's blocked from view by all the tournament infrastructure (that's the only time I ever go there). They must be kidding...for the second straight year, they gave an invite to Candy Hannemann. Yeah, I know, it's the Olympics, blah blah blah...unless Brazil is allowed more than two players, she's not getting on the team (over 250 spots behind the second place Brazilian). The second invite went to junior Elizabeth Wang of San Marino, CA, who finished T-2 at the Annika Invitational earlier this year and won the Junior PGA Championship last year. Her WAGR is # 251.

Feedback from WRX indicates that the course at Shoprite has brutal greens....the poor weather isn't helping the aerated greens.

Feedback from WRX indicates that the course at Shoprite has brutal greens....the poor weather isn't helping the aerated greens. The worst greens I have ever seen in a professional event. You know they are bad when always laid back Caroline Masson screams and throws her putter after 3 putting. Your sense of humor is good.....lol.....I've only seen Masson play one hole in 2013....she looks like she can be quite nasty when mad....she's make her Euros colleagues of Tutta and Hedwall look like kindergarten girls. Masson is definitely German...Sandra is a fake...she's too nice/sweet to be German. I was only meh on Sandra...but BraveDave in 2013 in Portland said I should watch Gal play....I then became a Sandra fanboy....a really nice young lady...and she's also a BFF with The Rocket...so she must be nice. Remember the Twitter post from Xtina (working for Sky Sports) after the 2013 Solheim...Xtina tweeted for Masson to keep it classy. I assume Xtina went looking for a party on Sunday night....walked into the Euro's party/war room and likely a drunk Masson told Xtina to FO and get lost. I LUV drama. Ya...supposedly they are having a hard time with the punched bent grass greens and the poa anna is now invading. I'm surprised the course wasn't wiped away after the hurricane. Are they still having the free tix promo if one is a Shoprite cardholder? Is Shoprite a good store?....I heard really good things about Wegmans.

3putt, you won't need to rant about Karen Stupples on the broadcast this week. She's in the field. (Of course there's a good chance she'll miss the cut and join the booth on the weekend.).

Which says something about the strength of the field that they have to have a past Tour winner who hasn't played in TWO YEARS help make up the numbers.

Are they still having the free tix promo if one is a Shoprite cardholder? Is Shoprite a good store?....I heard really good things about Wegmans. Price is the main issue for me, which makes Shop-Rite the first choice in my area...and yes, I still get free grounds passes to the Seaview with a Shop-Rite card. I'll occasionally check out Stop & Shop to see if they have sales on particular items...ditto with Pathmark, until they went belly-up last year. Wegmans only puts stores in places where people are loaded with money. The stores look great, but they're expensive. ************ I've seen Stupples play in person...her long game is pretty good, but the putter will kill her...and if the greens are bad... *********** Auroroa Kan made it through the Sunday Am qualifier for Monday's qualifier...she's having quite week...70-75-145 at Canoe Brook this past Tuesday. Monday's field: Date: Monday May 30, 2016 Location: Stockton Seaview Golf Club - Bay Course 1:00 pm: Hanule Seo; Stephanie Connelly 1:11 pm: Jean Bartholomew; Joanne Coe; Kendall Wright 1:22 pm: Maiya Tanaka; Kristi O'Brien; Megan Grehan 1:33 pm: Courtney Harter; Emily Gimpel; Aurora Kan 1:44 pm: Kathleen Ekey; Katie Detlefsen; Brynn Walker (a) 1:55 pm: Samantha Troyanovich; Louise Yi; Kylee Duede 2:06 pm: Sara Detlefsen; Susana Benavides; Fiona Puyo 2:17 pm: Maia Schechter; Jayde Panos ; Luciane Lee 2:28 pm: Felicity Lloyd-Jones; Diane Rama; Kate Scarpetta

I really started not caring much for Stupples when Wilson didn't renew their sponsorship in favor of the Russian bombshell....Maria V. Stupples then went on social media whining about Wilson dumping her....IMO....very unprofessional. The exec's at Callaway must not be too bright to offer her an endorsement afterwards....what would stop her from doing the same if their partnership ended....duh.

Wegmans only puts stores in places where people are loaded with money. The stores look great, but they're expensive. It's no surprise there are five Whole Foods here in Van City....a lot of fakes here. Whole Foods = Whole Pay Cheque.
