Didn't Montgomerie say you have to walk single file down the fairways at Sahalee? TV doesn't do Sahalee justice. The USGA is arrogant...I hope the PGA isn't...the USGA had the 2010 USSO so tightly roped and sometimes only allowed access on one side of the fairway....I sometimes had to watch T. Watson and Couples looking under a tree. That's why you need to come to ANA. Good place to watch golf and no one is in your way.

Hello all, my name is Ryan, and I am new to this forum. It is very interesting to read all of your posts. I have gained many insights from reading them. Phil, I am a huge Mi Hyang Lee fan! Can I be the Vice President of her fan club? I went to the ANA Inspiration on Saturday for one reason only, MHL! I followed her for about 14 or 15 holes (missed 3 or 4 holes when I was eating lunch). Her aunt was very gracious and very nice! I sent MHL a fan letter earlier this year, and she responded right after she was cut from the Coates Golf Championship, and I was "blown away!" She sent me a personalized autographed picture and glove! She is a class act! Please keep posting your informative and interesting posts about Mi Hyang. I enjoy reading them! Welcome to the forum! Cool to hear that about Mi Hyang!

Do you remember maybe over 15+ years ago...Tommy Armour came out with these JUMBO size tungsten head irons. No, I don't remember that...but I do remember when they were a serious golf brand. Around '89 I bought a TA Silver Scot 986 Tour persimmon driver (TT R300) from my local Las Vegas Discount Golf (long gone). The face is taller than normal at 1.875 inches...I figured it would reduce my chances of missing the ball. Johnny Miller used heavily refurbished 1947-ear Silver Scot irons when he won the '73 USO. TA is almost nothing now, just the house brand for The Sports Authority. Their store in East Brunswick is shutting down...I checked it out a couple of weeks ago...wasn't crazy about what they had left, but I should check it again this week if they're still open...maybe the discounts will be better. ********** Speaking of antiques, masters.com temporarily has the entire TV broadcast from the final round of the '86 Masters. Even with stone age gear, Seve drove the ball 302 at the 15th hole and Norman hit it 310.

Hello Ryan, assuming you're from California, you can be the West Coast Regional V.P. Detailed MHL course reports in the future will be necessary to remain in good standing with the organization. Are you hitting any more events this year? There's Frisco, San Martin, Seattle, and Portland later this season.

Ariya has one of the softest hands in golf, she's better than Vijay. Huh....soft hands would be the last words I'd use to describe Ariya....I think..."wild thing' is more appropriate. You can be wild on tee and still has the soft hands for putting, there is no conflict. In any case, Ariya arguably is the best LPGA raw talent of all time. She may not become all time great for other reasons; but she will have her moments in the sun.

Korean rookie Chun In-gee finishes 2nd at LPGA major www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20160404000584Chun said afterward her back injury is now a thing of the past. "I am taking away so much from this championship," she said. "I made a lot of difficult par saves over the first eight holes. The experience of staying patient throughout will go a long way toward helping my career." She said she feels at "more than 90 percent" in terms of her health and shot-making; prior to the tournament, she said she was at 85 percent on those fronts. Chun played her final round with Ko, who hit her third shot on the par-five 18th green to about a foot from the hole for the clinching birdie. "It was such a spectacular shot, and I clapped for her, while I was standing next to her," Chun said. "I could see why she's the No. 1 player in the world. She seemed to enjoy the pressure and knows how to play her own game."

Even though In Gee is a proven winner I have to think playing along side Ko at the final round of a major and staying with her has to be a big positive going forward. It would be interesting to hear what Lydia thinks about In Gee's game but Lyds won't go out of her way to give In Gee more confidence. Why would ya? In Gee and Ha Na met in the Doosan? match play finals in 2013. Ha Na won (I ready In Gee's profile today on this site.) I wonder if some bad blood goes back to that. They certainly don't seem tight for having played on the KLPGA tour together. I think In Gee is old school and Ha Na might be new school socially.

That Doosan Match Play final was the first time I really paid attention to In Gee. 2013 was Ha Na's best year, so it's no surprise she beat the newbie, but Chun bounced back quickly, winning the Korean Women's Open a few weeks later. And she did it by making birdie on the final four holes to change a two shot deficit into a one shot win. She had that great winner's kick even then!

Jack Nicklaus missed many cuts in his rookie year before he won his first PGA title at 1962 US Open. Even the greatest players have their learning curves. I agree that playing the final round of a major well while pairing with the reigning No.1, may be the straw that broke the camel's back for In Gee. A lot to look for in the future, we just have to wait for a small tournament in Georgia to pass through.

Sung Hyun Park was the real revelation to me. I made sure to watch her after mr3putt posted her video. I guess she doesn't want to play here. The sound of the ball coming off her driver was louder than any other player I saw.

The sound of the ball coming off her driver was louder than any other player I saw. Park is in her third year on the KLPGA. It's fairly typical for big stars to stay on tour three years (In Gee did); those who come over sooner (like Q Baek, who only played one year in Korea) tend to struggle a bit when they come over. I think she felt that last year was too soon to come over, but it looks to me that she is mentally preparing to make a run at the tour for 2017. I expect both she and Jin Young Ko to attempt to get on tour next season.

For 16 of the top 32 players in the world to be from ROK is amazing.
I saw Karen Supples answer a tweet question of "How many women on the KLPGA could compete on the LPGA?" She said "Lots."

I don't think SHP will need to try too hard to get on tour if she can play like Nabisco.
