I hope USWO raise their prize money to $6.0 million with winner's share of $1.08 million. I remember $6.0 million was a big milestone for PGA. After that, it continued to increase until now. USGA raised prize from $3.5 million to $4.5 million last year due to their new TV contract with Fox. They certainly can afford to raise it again in order to stimulate overall LPGA prize trend. Women's PGA will raise their funds to keep up with the Joneses; and Women's British, Evian and so forth. The $1.3 million tournaments don't belong in this day and age. The gals should be thankful that the USO exists to fund the USWO. If the USWO stood in isolation as it's own 'profit center'....I highly doubt the USWO would be played for $4.5M. If The Masters, USGA, R&A and PGA of America were truly interested in raising the awareness of women's golf...they'd fund the women's majors (yes the USGA does so already) and have the men and women play the majors on alternate days.

So how many majors for a Lydia Slam anyway? 4 or 5? The whole 5th major thing screwed up everything. LPGA golfers today can't chase history. IMO....4....2 more...the KPMG and USWO. Blame Whan and Merica why we have 5 women's fake majors. No Yank corporation was willing to save the KNC in time and Whan cowered and offered the Evian major status. Whan should have just let the ANA die...then we'd have 4 majors. But Whan was so desperate to save the KNC he would have drained the LPGA balance sheet to hold it in 2015. If BJ was commish....he would have let the KNC fold.....because he doesn't care much for "Make America Great Again" (ya gotta luv Trump....I'm glad he'll be you next Prez....I wish he was our Prime Minister....the Canada would be great again...now we don't even have a Canuck team in the NHL playoffs...DUH)....remember when BJ said the only thing Merican about Michelle is her passport....I luv BJ...he and The Dragon Lady really live up to the LPGA motto..."See Why it's Different Out Here".

IMO.. .the thing that will hold Charley back is that I don't think she's as hungry to be superior vs. Lydia & Brooke....though Tina and Dave H may burn out both...while Dave Hull encourages Charley to enjoy her youth. Add the blade irons she got at a garage sale to this list. Charley Hull is just what the tour needs. She should be mic'd up at all times.

I would like to say something about Ariya. I watched her through her amateur days. One thing, not sure what kind of training she had in Thailand. She did not go to some big time golf academy. Nor did she have nearly the support that Lydia had. If only The Dragon Lady and Guy Wilson were Ariya's mom and coach....we'd be seeing a HOF player already and BKB would be the greatest and most frequent contributor to this forum.

Yup.....I think you remember when Charley swore at an event this year....ya gotta love her.....I'm still waiting for HYP to yell out F*** Y** when she skulls a shot...that would be such a turn on...to add to already magnetic & sexy persona. Did you know Charley thinks people who play with game improvement irons are kinda cheating....this gal is GREAT...she's an idol at WRX. "Find it, Hit it, Find It Again".....when you attend your next event...go chat with Charley's dad...he's a very approachable gentleman...you'll find out he's the anti-BJ Wie. Ya gotta luv a gal who asks The Pink Diva to sign a golf ball after she just dismantled Mr. Studley's mom.

Ariya has tremendous power and putts with incredible soft hands; she outclassed In Gee and Lydia for 15 holes but pressure got to her. It's similar to Rory Mcilroy's 2011 Masters; who gave up 4 shots lead by going 8 over par the last 9 holes. But, Rory recovered and won 2011 US Open by 8 shots. Ariya has as much if not more talent than Rory, she certainly can recover and contend at Women's PGA in 10 weeks.

Another thought. Remember when they used to call Nick Faldo, "Nick Foldo" in his early career.
He rebounded pretty good.

Jutanugarn will be fine and will likely contend again next time.
I'm worried that Abby Wambach won't come back next year. Footgolf won't be the same without her.

At the 2015 CP CWO....I saw Ariya hitting the back fence at the range with her 2 iron...and then hitting the top of the fence with her FW...it was crazy....but she also could be wild too...I can't remember if I saw her hit driver. IMO...I think Ariya's brain and lack of course mgmt is holding her back..she seems stubborn...maybe she's changed...yup for 15 holes she was money. Don't count on it...have you played or been to Sahalee? I saw it in July 2010 at the USSO...it's a tight beast....I don't think it's for Ariya. I'd say this will be a Sista type course....patience and steady with maybe a Ko, Dumbo or Winbee win. The 18th hole is an uphill par 4 brute....hopefully they don't neuter it.

Vijay Singh (Ariya) beat Steve Stricker (Ko, In Gee) to win 1998 PGA Championship at Sahalee. It can be done.
Ariya has one of the softest hands in golf, she's better than Vijay.

Didn't Montgomerie say you have to walk single file down the fairways at Sahalee?

Didn't Montgomerie say you have to walk single file down the fairways at Sahalee? TV doesn't do Sahalee justice. The USGA is arrogant...I hope the PGA isn't...the USGA had the 2010 USSO so tightly roped and sometimes only allowed access on one side of the fairway....I sometimes had to watch T. Watson and Couples looking under a tree.

Hello all, my name is Ryan, and I am new to this forum. It is very interesting to read all of your posts. I have gained many insights from reading them. Phil, I am a huge Mi Hyang Lee fan! Can I be the Vice President of her fan club? I went to the ANA Inspiration on Saturday for one reason only, MHL! I followed her for about 14 or 15 holes (missed 3 or 4 holes when I was eating lunch). Her aunt was very gracious and very nice! I sent MHL a fan letter earlier this year, and she responded right after she was cut from the Coates Golf Championship, and I was "blown away!" She sent me a personalized autographed picture and glove! She is a class act! Please keep posting your informative and interesting posts about Mi Hyang. I enjoy reading them!
