I suppose it is too much ground to make up, but I'd love to see NYC make a charge. She is the real deal and is one of the players who can do anything when her mind is right.

I've said this many times....what does everyone see in NYC? I know she has a TON of fans...male and female.
I just don't get it...she always looks sad whether inside or outside the ropes.
I'd rather cheer for the likes of The Rocket(duh), SYR, Dumbo, The Hulk, Bada*s, etc, etc.

I agree, she doesn't look happy playing golf. She looks happy on Instagram when she isn't playing golf. All of the players you mentioned are entertaining as well. I just think NYC has the best swing in the game and she worked hard to perfect it.

What an entertaining round of golf! I love watching the new blood making some noise while the wily veterans try to keep up.

We are truly fortunate to have someone on this Forum to tell us who we should like or dislike. Also critique us on why the height of the golfer has a great advantage over other golfers.
We would all be lost without him. Well maybe not!!!

so LPGA w/ PGA in some capacity. Benefits are schedule coordination, technology sharing, joint event, TV rights leverage. TV is the only thing the PGA would really care about. So what's this mean exactly, that it's a package deal if you want the PGA you take the LPGA too, or that the PGA people will handle the negotiations for the LPGA and whatever happens happens.

So, there's the rumor exploding right now on the Korean internet. Since they are actually writing stories about it, I'll try to sum it up. Caveat: I'm not 100% I understand what happened (I'm trying to translate Korean articles here), so it's possible I don't have this right. Here's my best guess. The competition to get on the Olympic team, as you know, is fierce, and both In Gee Chun and Ha Na Jang are 100% focused on getting onto the Olympic team and see the other as possibly standing in her way. Anyway, here's the "scandal/rumor": when In Gee fell on the escalator at the airport, it allegedly was inadvertently caused by Jang's father. I'm not sure I understand this, but it sounds like he was ahead of her on the escalator, dropped/released a suitcase, and when Chun tried to move it out of her way, she fell down and injured herself. Chun's reps apparently have issued a statement that they do not feel a proper apology for what happened was given by Jang or her dad. The fact that it was Jang's dad who seemed to cause this seems shady to some in Korea, but add onto that the fact that Ha Na is now leading the tournament that In Gee has been forced to drop out of, and you get a lot of angry Chun fans posting comments on many Jang articles. I get the sense they mostly want to hear that formal apology from Jang for what happened; I don't get the sense they think it was a Tonya Harding-like attempt to take In Gee out. Anyway, DRAMA!

That 5'6" theory sounds like the classic evidentiary mistake of confusing correlation with causation. IE, just because it's often the case that x and y go together does not prove in any way that x causes y.

Some drama makes it interesting but have they elaborated on the injury? If it was an escalator it could be serious but given little news reports and HaNa's spirits this week I would guess it's not a big injury.

I thought Jang was a total phony and con artist from day one. So now I have an actual reason to dislike her. It would be a shame if IGC misses the Olympics because the Jangs are thugs. If she is complicit in the intentional maiming of Dumbo, a lifetime ban is appropriate.

And as if In Gee could be any more liked around here, now she's got the Nancy Kerrigan bump going for her.

And as if In Gee could be any more liked around here, now she's got the Nancy Kerrigan bump going for her. It's not possible to like In Gee any more, it's already up against the ceiling. It doesn't really matter how it happened, the only thing important now is that In Gee isn't seriously or permanently injured.
