If Sei Young can only eliminate her double bogies; I guess it's too much to ask! Sei Young is truly a women's version of Rory McIlroy; double bogies included. I was thinking the same thing about Sei Young and the double bogies. I guess when you drive it so long an errant shot happens sometime. Anyway congratulation to Hyo Joo for a great win. Glad that Dean Herdin is going to caddy for Jin Young Ko. One of my favorite players. Maybe he is preparing her for a jump to the LPGA.

The Charley Hull / Tom Abott exchange on 17 tee was perfect. Tom covering Charley is a match made in heaven.

WTF....huh.....you have the Pink Diva in the top 40?... I put her at #40. A top 5 finish already, maybe she still has something left in the tank. Ya ya ya.....you of all people who attends so many events....yes, you can chose who you want to root for and that's ok....with such deep talent and so many great pros on the LPGA to watch and cheer for...I don't know what you see in her snobby and phony act....it's not just me...nor Glen....others I've chatted with here feel the same way.

Interesting that one of her goals is to get married. Be careful what you wish for--just ask Woods, Couples, Monty or Faldo. All four had their golf games dragged down by poor marital choices

Inbee's future is now uncertain and the Italian's influence over SYR is unknown. HJK is now the number one Korean assuming she doesnt collapse. It sure is more fun to watch her swing over Queen Bee. I's surprised Hyo joo didn't do better last year; considering her pedigree at KLPGA. Her KLPGA record was as good as Ji Yai Shin; Ji Yai was one putt away from winning LPGA's Player of the Year during her rookie year. Ji Yai, Hyo Joo and In Gee had tremendous KLPGA records; they're battle proven. Hyo Joo was struggling with fatigue, injury and a weird stomach ailment in the second half of last year, and still didn't do too badly. My guess is she is PLENTY motivated to prove herself this year, starting with taking it to the woman who beat her for Rookie of the Year last year.

Way to go Hyo Joo Kim! That's getting the year off to a great start! The second I saw Hyo Joo climbing the leaderboard today, I had a feeling she was going to pull this off. She knows how to win when she gets in the hunt. Though she played well last year, she didn't get in the hunt too many times in the latter half of the year. But today, it was vintage Hyo Joo. Even when she made an uncharacteristic mistake on 16, she immediately bounced back with a brilliant tee shot on the tough 17th to give her the birdie she needed. Lewis must be wondering what golf god she offended to keep putting her in this situation. It was tough to know who was going to rise to the occasion and try to deny Kim. Lewis had the best shot at it, but Sei Young Kim managed a nice recovery from that double on 9, and if she had just taken advantage of the par 5 15th, it might have been a different story. Still, it was a great week for the two Kims. Sei Young has moved into second on the Olympic team, while Hyo Joo jumped In Gee and Amy Yang and is now fourth. So Yeon better not take too long to catch fire this year, or she could easily find herself missing the Rio trip. 2013 champ Il Hee Lee managed a t-5th, while Min Seo Kwak finished t-8th, one of her best LPGA finishes ever. Ha Na Jang had the albatross but just missed the top ten in 11th, and Hee Young couldn't follow up yesterday, but with her added length and confidence, I have a feeling she might be heard from again. Shout out to Megan Khang, who managed to make the Rookie race a little more interesting, even if she tailed off to a t-11th in the end. In Gee won't have much time to get into gear if she wants to go to Rio or make the ROY her baby early. Congrats again to Hyo Joo Kim!!!!!! Hwaiting! Minjee's done with translating!

My top 40 has nothing to do with who I root for. It's where I think they will be on the money list at the end of the season. I know your top 40 has nothing to do with who you root for....but with so many new faces and other nice pros to watch....IMO....there are 140 better pros to cheer for...lol.

It's funny that they nailed Hyo Joo with the shaving cream after the tournament. HJ has been one of the players who have advocated for eliminating the whole practice. In the post round interview, HJ was a combination of happy and annoyed that she got the shaving cream.

I was wondering if it were just me...champagne, ok...water, ok...but shaving cream...I know Pure Silk is the sponsor...but I wouldn't want to be showered in it after a win...Hyo-Joo Kim was probably so happy with the victory she just endured the rest...

Hope it doesn't get to the point, that Hyo Joo instinctively loses a tournament in order to avoid the ceremony.

In the post round interview, HJ was a combination of happy and annoyed that she got the shaving cream. On the broadcast, they explicitly said that Hyo Joo was trying to avoid the dousers, asking not to be soaked, but they caught up to her. In the case of the shaving cream, she should just grin and bear it; like the dive into the pond, it's become a tradition. But if someone asks not to be soaked with water/champagne/whatever, they should respect her wishes. (as opposed to playfully avoiding the water bearers, but not really meaning it, like some gals do).

Pouring water or champagne on the winner is bush league. Jumping into Poppie's Pond is downright embarrassing. All the participants should be heavily fined and suspended if necessary.
