Some of these Thai names are killers...they need to follow the example of Onnarin Sattayabanphot, who is just O Sattaya on the JLPGA tour.

Christine Song's steady play maybe running out....maybe her nerves are catching up coming down the stretch.

Christine Song's steady play maybe running out....maybe her nerves are catching up coming down the stretch. Ouch.....Christine bogey's 18 and then heads to a 3 way playoff and finishes outside the top 20....ugh. Q school can be so stressful and sadly disappointing too.

Congrats to Megan Khang obtaining her exempt card. I can't say within this field there were many I was confident to secure an exempt card....but Megan would have been one I'd would have put money on and although a bit shaky coming home....she didn't disappoint....she just played steady golf all weak.
Financially, Megan was at a disadvantage when compared to other teens like Lydia and Brooke who had monetary and coaching support via the New Zealand Golf Federation and Golf Canada, respectively.

Not a lot of apparent world beaters on that list, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Khang and Feng have good seasons next year, and I'm glad that Julie Yang will have another chance to try her luck on tour.
Congrats to everyone!

LPGA.com has a lot of photos from each round, plus practice days. Had a glimpse of the Taylor-Made museum...Ginger Howard using an R1 and Victoria Elizabeth with a JetSpeed. Sample portraits taken at LPGA HQ on Dec. 7 for the new Exempt status players, along with a few who received Mickey Mouse status: Gabby Lopez and Megan Khang Grace Na and Su Oh Ashlan Ramsey and Ani Gulugian Briana Mao and Ginger Howard

Phil Very good...it wasn't easy to pick up the Jetspeed head in that pic....she's playing the very popular orange Graphite Design shaft. Have you been search the Jetspeed lately....I'm sure you could find one for $50 or less.

On my last visit to GolfSmith, their used driver selection was severely depleted...they were completely out of the older TM models, so I couldn't hit a few balls into the net to see how they feel. Took a few swats with a Cobra Fly-Z demo...felt and sounded nice and the price has been reduced, but it's still way too expensive. You're right, the Jetspeed is cheaper than ever (via Ebay)...also, several used heads are selling there for $35 - $40 (even less for lefties, which I'm not). Even without trying it, it has to be better than my current fossil. Should I go 10.5 or 9.5? I currently use 10.5 and my drives often baloon too much, but that could be the old stock shaft. Lately, I just grip down at least one inch on the shaft as a stop-gap to reduce that problem. I should talk to the GolfSmith repair guy about shafts and sleeves. Victoria Elizabeth and her 78 on Sunday was an inexplicable disaster...she had a lock on getting a top-20 thru Saturday's round...and her last Tweet was Saturday, 12/5 Her occasional absence will put a dent in the LPGA scenery.

I guess the Korean article I read that mentioned that was written before she dropped out... It's pretty understandable, given what she has been doing recently!

If you're ballooning the ball...it's likely your shaft. IMO....you should get a 10.5 Jetspeed unless your swing speed is over 103 mph.....you'll want to loft up due to a forward CG. My SS is 94-97 mph....because it's a 49gm shaft....I think you might enjoy the stiff shaft....but I'm playing the stiff Speeder. I was playing pretty well with the stock shaft at 46" and choked down a touch....but I couldn't get my head around the 46" shaft and cut off 3/4"....I regret this. The Cobra Fly Z+ is getting rave reviews. Yes....a few think Victoria is hot...but she's only meh to me.
