prelim list www.lpga.com/tournaments/qualifying-tournamentWow....what a weak list so far....I can't pick out 5 players that would challenge Dumbo for ROY. Are there any KLPGA pros that are going to qualify yet to be on the list? I'm rooting and hoping Belen, Gaby Lopez and Megan Khang get their exempt cards. I'm also hoping for Jessica Wallace too...but more a long shot.

I can't see ANY of these players challenging Dumbo for ROY. However, would Jeong Eun Lee 5 be considered a rookie? Maybe not, since she entered a couple of 2015 LPGA events. At times, she'll hack her ball here and there on the KLPGA, but she finds a way to get it in the hole. I'd be shocked if she dioesn't get a full-time card this time around. BTW, the deadline is Tue., Nov. 17 at 5 PM EST...could there be any last-minute entrants from the KLPGA or JLPGA? For a $5,500 fee, a top-40 Rolex-ranked player as of 7/20/2015 can enter Stage 3. That would include Shiho Oyama, Teresa Lu, Bo Mee Lee, and Jung Min Lee. I expect none of them to enter. They won't announce how many fully-exempt cards will be issued until just before the tourney starts. I think the figure has been about 17 to 20 in the last few years. I'll bet Christine Song gets in on experience and guts...4th time is the charm!

A rookie is anyone who earned their card for the first time. It's not like the PGA Tour that disqualifies players if they played in a certain number of events. That's why In Gee is considered a rookie.
I didn't think anyone could challenge Hyo Joo Kim this year, but Sei Young came out of nowhere, so nothing is a lock. Still, you'd think In Gee is far and away the favorite to win.

I thought that ex Trojan Belen Mozo would easily keep her card. Ditto Sophia Popov. Also hoping for my young friend Jessica Wallace make it. She struggled early, on the Symetra Tour, but finished strong. I guess Ju Young Park is going back to the KLPGA. I did not see her name, nor did I see Jimin Kang on the list. I didn't check the early list.

Hyo Joo seemed like a lock, perhaps; but Sei Young Kim was a five time KLPGA winner who had finished second on the KLPGA money list in 2013. It's a stretch to say she came from nowhere!

Because of how they set up a lot of the courses on the LPGA, to favor longer hitters. I expected Sei Young to do well, maybe not this great. My pick for ROY was Ha Na because she was also a long driver of the ball. However she did not finish tournaments as well as Sei Young, and she putted worse. Besides this Rookie class will be nowhere near as strong as last year's.

We're not getting that influx next year. Maybe one of the amateurs or the NCAA players comes in and does well out the gate, but they typically wait longer to form into top pros than the foreign players do.

For a $5,500 fee, ........ I'll bet Christine Song gets in on experience and guts...4th time is the charm! Three stages of Q-school is a honey pot for the LPGA. Christine must have a rich Sugar Daddy.

I played Redwoods on Monday...the guy in the pro shop said Jessica was practicing up here leading up to her travel to Q school. I guess she's run out of money to practice in Phoenix....practicing in the Van City slop can't be great for prep to Q school. The guy said Darren has given up playing competitive golf. He also said he's seen Soo Bin...but has not seen Sue Kim for some time. I'll be heart broken if Belen doesn't obtain her exempt card. . Sadly, The Mini Rocket just doesn't have the game for the LPGA....at least I got to fanboy her for a few holes at the CP CWO.

Annie Park made the LPGA by finishing number one on Symetra Tour. She doesn't need to go to Q-School.

I think Muni moved to Fla with her mom or staying with an aunt? Katy Harris should stay home with her children. I think Megan is playing as a tune-up for Q school.

Cindy Feng won the first warm-up (206, -10) and collected $3,000. Muni dropped out after opening with 75. Megan Khang did not play this one, but will play in the second warm-up starting today...she definitely exhibits an ability to play well at every level, so far.

Maude LeBlanc won the 2nd warm-up and $3,000 (134, -8)...Sunday's round was washed out. Megan Khang (-1) is officially a pro, finished T-4 and collected $930. Haeji Kang was a WD...I think she has taken the off-ramp to Palookaville. Yu Liu jettisoned Larry the Looper after two middling finishes.
