Why doesn't Lori Kane give it up. I am sure she is popular enough in Canada to start a Golf Academy for young players. Unless there isn't enough interest to get financing.

Why doesn't Lori Kane give it up. I am sure she is popular enough in Canada to start a Golf Academy for young players. Unless there isn't enough interest to get financing. I have no clue why Kane continues to want to play competitive golf outside of the Legends tour BUT The same question can be asked of the 100's of gals who continue to toil for years on the Symetra for years with no realistic chance to ever make a living IF they should ever make it to the LPGA....these and many others are the same who shell out their money to attempt LPGA Q school...again without much chance to obtain an exempt card. I only glanced, Kane has only made the cut in 9 of 34 events in the last 3 years....and those 9 cuts made were minimal money. I don't believe Lorie's married and I think she lives in PEI...so maybe she's bored and can afford to lose money trying to play the LPGA. If indeed she does live in PEI...she'd likely lose money with a golf academy there....minimal population....lousy weather. Besides...just because one is a good/great golfer....doesn't always translate to being a good teacher or entrepreneur. I've never cared much for Kane and she's a ghost...... now that we have the Canadian Princess.

I think Lori just loves the game and doesn't want to give it up. She is immensely popular in Canada and would probably be able to find a something golf related. I think it won't matter after this week, as her game has gone south and It would be an upset if she got through (although this is a pretty weak field in comparison to last year). Tony Yes...Kane has lost her name BUT As we both know....many lesser pros than Lorie have caught lightening in a bottle...obtained their exempt card...then floundered on the LPGA the following year and then never to be heard again. As stated before...I can't understand why so many gals and guys continue to chase an unrealistic dream....e.g.) you'd think playing in 18 events and making $2,366 and finishing near DFL in all the LPGA stats that Mallory Blackwelder would pack it in...yet she's registered in Q school again.....good thing Julian is making ok money on DeLaet's bag. Mallory has her 15 minutes of fame....Big Break Ireland. In women's golf nowadays.....your talent by 18 will determine if you can make a living playing golf. I knew by 12 I was never going to be a PGA pro...so I've happily settled to be a weekend hack.

Larry the Looper is in the parking lot, but hasn't snagged a bag yet. He snapped a pic of Lori Kane...she has slimmed down considerably.

On Larry the Looper's blog site.....he's saying that Wie will have a new caddie for 2016. I'm guessing it's Dave Brooker.....I believe he last looped for Tutta and then got a bag on the PGA tour? I think he also looped for Grace Park quite a while ago. "Michelle Wie will have a new bag toter next season. Rumor has it that Dave ####### will be on the sack. Sorry, you have to figure it out.

I think Brooker was also with Lorena Ochoa.
Round One...the J and H refer to the Jones and Hills courses:
T1 - China Simin Feng [J] -7 F -7 65 - - - - 65 T1 - USA Christine Song [J] -7 F -7 65 - - - - 65 3 - SOUTH KOREA Julie Yang [H] -6 F -6 66 - - - - 66 4 - USA Cydney Clanton [J] -5 F -5 67 - - - - 67 T5 - Mexico Gaby Lopez (a) [J] -4 F -4 68 - - - - 68 T5 - Canada Sara-Maude Juneau [J] -4 F -4 68 - - - - 68 T5 - Thailand Budsabakorn Sukapan [J] -4 F -4 68 - - - - 68 T5 - USA Dori Carter [J] -4 F -4 68 - - - - 68 T9 - USA Megan Khang [J] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - Germany Isi Gabsa [H] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - USA Hannah Collier [H] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - Thailand Benyapa Niphatsophon [H] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - USA Nannette Hill [J] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - USA Heather Bowie Young [J] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - South Korea Haeji Kang [J] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - Thailand Pavarisa Yoktuan [H] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69 T9 - South Africa Bertine Strauss [J] -3 F -3 69 - - - - 69
The nine lives of Christine Song...some enterprising reporter should do a chronological interview of her young pro career...it might make interesting reading. She appears to be on target to acquiring full status for the FIFTH time.
Julie Yang was absolutely awful last year...11 MCs in 12 starts.

I also thought Brooker had looped for Lorena too...but wasn't sure.

Brooker was Grace's caddie for several years. Every year in Portland I would meet up with the three of them and chew the fat. He was a pretty cool guy (probably still is!).

Let's hear a cheer for Christine Song, possibly the only golfer in history who has made more money at Q-School than the regular tour.

Julie Yang has struggled on the LPGA, but I recall her notching a top ten recently in Korea on the KLPGA. I think she might be starting to get her act in order. I would love to see her have another shot next year to see if I'm right.

Perhaps mummy wrappings are premature for Nicole Jeray.

Sue Kim shot 42-47 = 89 before her WD. Based on the names of this Q school....if Dumbo doesn't win 2016 LPGA ROY she should be exiled to N. Korea....In Gee can play P/T and win by a land slide. I wonder how much Hite greased the Canadian Princess's palm to talk her into taking LPGA membership in 2015.

I'm surprised Jeong Eun Lee 5 has not played better against this bunch. One assumes that a multi-winner on the KLPGA should have this figured out. If not, maybe a full season on the Symetra Tour is where she belongs...and a top-ten finish on their money list a reachable goal.

Jeong Eun Lee 5, as she is known on the KLPGA, has multiple wins on that tour, including this year; but she has been a fairly streaky player of late. She'll go a long time without doing much of anything, then suddenly put together a great week. Perhaps she's just in one of her off weeks right now? Anyway, good luck to her the next two days!

Belen WD's in third round...she was 6 over at the time. Doesn't matter, she finished 101 on money list and should still get into most full field tournaments. The people I am rooting for: Meghan Khang -7 looking good. Gaby Lopez -6 looking good. Maude Aimee Leblanc -6 looking good. Jeongeon Lee - Even - 43rd right now...needs a good last 2 rounds. Ashlan Ramsey -6 looking good Rebecca Lee Bentham - +3 78th....In real trouble Tony Why no luv for the GOAT's niece...she's a Merican. I've seen Ashlan's name before....just looked her up...she's pretty cute....OK....I'll fanboy her too. Huh...why of any Korean are you rooting for Jeong Eun Lee?.....are you cheering for a Korean just to keep on Happy's good side so you can post your blog here? RLB is toast...she'll follow in one of your fav's footsteps too....Ekey.
