Does anyone know why Ai-Chan has an asterisk beside her name in the Fubon LPGA final field list?
Thanks -

Does anyone know why Ai-Chan has an asterisk beside her name in the Fubon LPGA final field list? Thanks - I believe Ai is a Sponsor Invite as she did not qualify through LPGA money list rankings.

Thanks much.

Too bad that Ai has to depend on invites to get into limited tournaments. I thought that her good play at the "International Tournament" would turn her game around. I am so hopeful that she plays better, because she is such a nice person.

Ai-Chan is a doll. Assuming she asked...I'm surprised she's not in the Mizuno field.
Somehow I think she headed to play few and few events.

Ai-chan has not played in the Mizuno Classic past 2 years & in 2011 finished 77 out of 78. It could be a sponsor conflict, too.

Yes, based on Ai's visibility in Japan and her sponsorships....maybe a conflict....but it never stopped Lee Westwood from playing the Fedex playoffs.....lol.

Egad, the live broadcast times are in the deep of night for North America.

Egad, the live broadcast times are in the deep of night for North America. That's because I suspect it will not in fact be live: the PGA Tour is playing in Malaysia this week on the same track that Shanshan Feng conquered a few weeks ago, so the LPGA will be on tape-delay right afterwards.Kevin

I don't mind them having a longer golf course. I just hate to see longer par fours and short par fives. In my opinion that gives the longer hitters an unfair advantage.
That's only my opinion!

It can be hard being a So Yeon fan sometimes. I decided last night to watch one more shot then call it a night. It happened to be the shot So Yeon dunked for eagle. Great moment! But most of the rest of the round, she struggled, ending up with that hard-to-watch final hole double bogey. Sigh. You have to look at the positive, though: she shot a 66 and is in the next to last group tomorrow. Could have been a great round, but will settle for a very very good one! Meanwhile, Inbee was her wonderfully relentless self. When her putts have that silky smooth roll to them, you know she's firing on all cylinders. Great 64 today! She is pretty overdue a win, so here's hoping she can put herself into position to get one. Inky quietly had a 5 under par 67. Looking forward to seeing her on the coverage tomorrow. Sisters Fighting!!

The back nine showed why Inbee is way ahead of So Yeon, right now. When she gets an a roll she feeds off it. So Yeon for reason seems to go into a prevent mode. I hope she dwells, on the fact that she is two shots off the lead and put those last two holes behind her.
