Yes, she's just two shots out of the lead with three rounds to go. 66 really is a pretty good round. Knowing her, she'll choose to look at the positive side. Good luck So Yeon!!!!

66 is a great score, but I'm also glad to hear how upset SYR was about her finish....that 3 over on the last 2 holes was not acceptable for her. She had a great save on 16 and couldn't get up and down on 17 after a nice shot that wouldn't hold the green like many other balls. One swing (drive) cost her 2 shots on 18. The Golf Gods are not kind...they wanted to even out the eagle with a double. Could SYR be getting fatigued mentally late in the rounds and not realized it?
There were a lot of eagles on the day.
Inbee being Inbee.....a cool 64 with no emotion.....that's an unbelievable trait....I'm ready to tomahawk my putter after a 3 jack.
I say Inbee beats Shanshan by 2 strokes today.
Inbee & Shanshan the 1st rd leaders.....maybe the other gals should learn you don't have to be a gym rat to score.

How mad are you if you're Shanshan right now? You've played a great tournaments, followed up a 64 with a 65, struck the ball beautifully, separated yourself from the rest of the field...and you're still trailing by three strokes.
I hope Inbee keeps it up and breaks the 258 scoring record the week she takes over the number one spot in the world and three weeks after she gets married.

Fantastic golf by Inbee and Mirim, even on this seemingly easy course. It's a pity Mirim was on the wrong side of the course most of the day, as we didn't get to see much of her round. So she shoots the course record, gets herself into the final group on Saturday -- and is still 8 shots back! It'll still be great to see her tomorrow; hopefully she can keep it up! What can you say about Inbee. Her putting stroke is on, and when that's the case, you really begin to expect she can make anything. Weirdly, I predicted she'd miss the short putts she missed, although I didn't expect she'd nail that one with the pin in (and another holeout for the Sisters, after Ryu's holeout yesterday!). Anyway, great GREAT job by Inbee, keep it up! FIGHTING!!! As for the rest, pity that So Yeon has lost her putting touch, but we know she had it once this week, hopefully she can get it back. NYC and Chella have crept up on her, so good luck to all of them as well this weekend. Sisters HWAITING!

I say Inbee beats Shanshan by 2 strokes today. I was only one stroke off...lol. That crazy Inbee also missed some make-able birdie putts in her 62. Great 62 by Mirim too. It really is a shame, Yani can't light it up for her home country.

I was hoping that So Yeon would really go low today. Her play at hole number thirteen sums up her play today. Her club selection on that hole, was not well thought out. They are pros and I am not, but I know that a hybrid out of rough will run a long way. Remind me of the hybrid that Na Yeon hit over the green, at the British open, that probably caused her the win.
Short of the hole ten to fifteen yards, was a lot easier up and down, than over the green. Then she got unlucky that her birdie putt, on the next hole stop on the lip. When everyone else was knocking them in from all over the place.
Danielle Kang even won another car, in back to back tournaments, on hole seventeen.

Yet Shanshan had a similar shot and got her chip rolling ASAP....and made par. As I've said before...I think SYR gets mental fatigue late in her rounds....that hook on the 18th tee in rd one was the shot to avoid on that hole.

That's why I think she needs a new caddie to talk her through tired mental lapses. Tom Watson may do a great job preparing her for the tournament. But he appears to be lacking when there are tough on course decisions. Maybe So Yeon don't confide in him, if not she needs a caddie who she trust to help make the right choice.
Then again I may be dead wrong. I just like her so much.

IMO...in most cases.....I don't think a loop has a huge impact for a tenured pro....heck....I think Lydia could win with a monkey on her bag. But I think a verbal loop who has really good and proven golf skills with competitive experience would do wonders for SYR. I think the majority of PGA loops are skilled golfers....I don't get the same impression on the LPGA tour.

Congratulation to Inbee for hanging in their and winning. Even though she was pressured by Lewis, and did not have her "A" game, she showed her toughness.
Kudos to So Yeon for finishing birdie, birdie to end her round. Still another top ten, not up to her expectation, but a good tournament anyway.

I think the difference between Inbee and the other top Koreans is not that she doesn't make mistakes. She really didn't have that great a day today, and obviously was on the track to disaster on the ninth hole. I think the difference is that she just doesn't let mistakes get her down. When she needed to make the great shot on 17, she did just that. It doesn't hurt that she's such a great putter that she can rescue herself from all sorts of bad shots if she needs to. But more than that, you just feel she is not going to give up or start to cave because of adversity. I hope So Yeon takes a lot of notes! I think Inbee's only the second married Korean golfer to win on the LPGA tour. Any guesses who the other one was? Congrats also to Amy, So Yeon and Eun Hee Ji for top tens. I was pumped to see So Yeon finish with two great birdies; fuel for next time? Congrats again to Inbee for her 12th career win, making her the second winningest Korean golfer in history. No extra points if you figure out who's #1!
