I think the difference between Inbee and the other top Koreans is not that she doesn't make mistakes. She really didn't have that great a day today, and obviously was on the track to disaster on the ninth hole. I think the difference is that she just doesn't let mistakes get her down. When she needed to make the great shot on 17, she did just that. It doesn't hurt that she's such a great putter that she can rescue herself from all sorts of bad shots if she needs to. But more than that, you just feel she is not going to give up or start to cave because of adversity. I hope So Yeon takes a lot of notes! I think Inbee's only the second married Korean golfer to win on the LPGA tour. Any guesses who the other one was? Congrats also to Amy, So Yeon and Eun Hee Ji for top tens. I was pumped to see So Yeon finish with two great birdies; fuel for next time? Congrats again to Inbee for her 12th career win, making her the second winningest Korean golfer in history. No extra points if you figure out who's #1! Hee Won Han?

Because of Inbee's stoic demeanor....I think her confidence is overlooked. If I recall correctly...at the 2013 North Texas Shootout.....I believe Inbee had a risky shot on the par 5 18th dogleg right....guarded by water on the right. I think she was under a tree in the rough and had a shot at the green. Playing out of bermuda rough can be very tricky with a FW dependent on the lie. Rather than play it as a 3 shot hole....Inbee when for the green in 2 and pulled it off....that takes CONFIDENCE....shutting out any trouble in her vision. On the flipside....Carlota got nervy coming down the stretch and lost by one. It's so difficult to hang on for a win...we often overlook the nervous factor. The ICE QUEEN has it....there have been other examples of Inbee's play similar to the above....I just can recall them. Ko is very young in her career and so far has demonstrated she's immune to the choke factor closing it out. Ko is Kool.

Choke Factor? Early in my golfing career, I shot thirty five, on the front side. Then I shot forty five on the back. It was my first chance to break eighty. The Pro did not call it choking, he simply said that I was out of my comfort zone.
That's probably why some Pro Golfers can close out tournaments and some can't. Some eventually overcome it, and some do not.
Inbee has.

Oh! By the way the next time I shot seventy six.
I eventually became comfortable shooting low scores. So their is hope for all under achievers.
