The next KLPGA event takes place the 27th through the 30th. Ha Na Jang is the defending champ and will be in the field. So Yeon Ryu and Hee Kyung Seo will also be on hand to represent the LPGA, and expect the usual gang of KLPGA crazies as well. Action starts Thursday!  |

Most casual fans don't realize that some Asian pros are playing in the Pac Rim vs. taking time off.
Sandra Gal said she's taking 1.5 weeks off before the Evian.

It looks like Kyu Baek had decided to take a needed week off.
This has probably been a real grind for her.
Seeing how most of her time were spent on the KLPGA, before this year.
A lot more travel on the LPGA and unfamiliar places.
So taken a break may rejuvenate her.
She has not been on the top of her game lately.

I can't wait to see Dumbo kick some butt when she's playing a F/T LPGA schedule.
Happy....you've got to find out how we can get some Flying Dumbo hats so you, Vern and I can wear them for Sahalee next year.
I'll make up some posters....but paying my respect to Vern (I believe he's the elder statesman of our 3some)....I'll provide him the honor of holding up and carrying the poster.....heck Jerry Foltz might even interview us....I know Tom Abbott would.
Tonyj, Cindy and Golfing Grammy didn'T believe me when I told them that IGC's nickname is Dumbo and that she's very receptive if one called her Dumbo.

Just checked the Leaderboard.
So Yeon is leading the early wave, minus 3.
Jin Young Ko, minus 1.
Looks like Jung Min Lee, So Jin and Yoon K Heo is skipping this one.
Bummer I want be able to watch tonight.
Will miss In Gee, and Ha Na.
On the bright side I will see So Yeon and Jin Young tomorrow.

18majors so how mad are you that your gal, Korda was not selected? Thanks for asking; but no, not at all. Jessica has been in a prolonged slump; I don't know whether it's because her wrist has never healed. She needs to do something, or her career is in real danger; especially with Dumbo and all other uprising young Korean stars. |

Correction, My above scores were nine hole scores not final scores. So Yeon Minus 1 Final Score not Minus 3 Jin Young Plus 6 Final Score not Minus 1. A tough back nine I guess. |

Round 1: Jang Takes Lead in Title Defense
Ha Na Jang played with In Gee Chun and last week's winner Min Song Ha in the first round. She is back in Korea, looking to defend one of her titles from 2014. She made the most of her day, making only one bogey en route to a 4 under par 68.   Chun, meanwhile, got off to a horror show start: a triple and a double in her first two holes. The rest of her round was merely mediocre, and so she finished with a 78, one of her worst rounds of the year.  Weirdly, Chun was not the only star to struggle. Jin Young Ko also shot a 78, while Min Sun Kim produced a hardly better score of 77. Song Yi Ahn and Gyeol Park also had horrible days.  Meanwhile, in the morning, So Yeon Ryu shot a tidy 71 to position herself nicely.  The round was not complete as darkness fell. Among those playing well but not finishing were Shin Ae Ahn, who was 3 under par with one to play.  Three and a bit more rounds to play! Scores: 1. Ha Na Jang 68 -4 2. Shin Ae Ahn (17) -3 3.
